Has anyone else spawned in an ocean with no land anywhere? I'll swim for 15 minutes in one direction with a featureless, barren land ahead of me, only to eventually figure out that my guy isn't actually moving. Why don't we have a respawn button? Can I atleast drown myself somehow? Do I have to play on private hives from now on?

A respawn button could permanently fix this glitch.

It's a rather common glitch. It used to be a lot more common, and instead of water, you'd spawn in "debug forest" or "debug plains."

Basically your only way out is to walk into a direction and hope for the best, while waiting for your character to die of starvation.

There used to be a Respawn option, but it was removed due to literally everybody using it to pick a place to spawn instead of using it for legitimate reasons. (To get back to their body/killer, and the rest used it to get to their friends faster.)

This happened to me, lucky for me a scripter was in the server and was teleporting players all over, he did the same with me and it solved my pain.

Though I do frown upon such measures!

The respawn button button should be the "Commit Suicide" button. Your character would shoot, drown, or otherwise kill him/her self. To prevent spamming for a better spawn your character would have to below a certain blood level, have a broken leg, be sick, or be swimming.

It would be unnecessarily hard for someone to spam the suicide button and this would help people in case of a glitch.

Id rather you can kill yourself with a gun then making a respawn button, This spawning in the ocean does not occur anymore

Or drown yourself? I've spawned in the ocean recently. I've spawned in the debug hills recently. Just because it doesn't occur for you doesn't mean it won't occur to other players. I almost never have a gun, I'm sort of new. :P

This is partially implemented already. If you have a broken leg then the Respawn button becomes usable. This is obviously because, if you break your leg in the middle of nowhere with no hope of getting to Morphine, you can start over.

Correct. But wouldn't it be horrifying if there was an animation for "respawn".

Alright true. Under my proposed idea someone could simply run into the water and respawn. How about swimming is not a factor for respawning. Instead your character simply drowns if they swim for a certain amount of time, while far from shore.

You can easily still use the Respawn button. Just spam Esc and hold your mouse to the right.

Works every time.
