2 morons in 2 minutes

Recommended Posts

I was playing Namalsk about 2 hours ago, when I see over sidechat that someone in Object All needed a bloodbag. Wanting to put a bullet in everyone's head who ever gives away their position over side channel, I say I have a bloodbag and I was coming down to help them in the bunker.

The dude has an M240, NVGS, binoculars, stanags, and food. Everything I pretty much need to survive. I put a few bullets in his head as he lets his guard down, grab the stanags, and head further down into the bunker where I meet a man in warm clothes.

He asked me if I heard the shots earlier, and I explained to him that a guy was trying to shoot me as I was entering the bunker and killed him. As he was talking, I got tired of him, so I shot him in the head again while he had his guard down.

All within two minutes.

And?

You shot 2 people that weren't shooting back.

Nothing special whatsoever.

Hello there

Morons? I think not. Naïve perhaps. Trusting? yes. Morons no.

Hey dude. Lol I'm a bandit to. Its not really much of an achievement... more like chance and relying on their trust. Personal best is 4 kills in 1 minute. A squad of bambis. I needed their food and i asked first, but they declined, attracted a horde of zombies near me, and ran off leaving me to kill them. I got annoyed and... Boom Boom Boom Boom. 4 dead bambis.

Their leader had a sniper rifle and nearly killed me, but i could tell he was new because he missed and was right next to me.

the bambis only attacked with axes and a makarov

not very special, you can easily kill anyone if they aren't expecting it and you have a shot lined up. Those 2 dudes shouldn't have been so trusting though but doesn't make them morons.

I'd say a moron would have to trust you after you shoot them repeatedly and steal stuff from their bag.

so ive been reading in the bandit campfire about all the talk on the side channels.. why do you feel its so important on a server with side channel that it is a good kill when you have the hard asses on vet servers surviving 30 min+ pvp in NWAF and somehow win.

plus how can you be proud of yourself when you got like 5 different types of bandits on regular servers but only one type of bandit on a vet. server... with no mic.

This isn't being a real bandit. But any form of bandits are ganged up on, on these forums. There's tons of Bandits out there that should be helping a fellow Bandit, but they don't as they just care about themselves. I'm personally not a bandit, and in the months I've played DayZ probably have had the skin 3-5 times.

But getting back to the point Banditry is always frowned upon no matter what.

-Sniping from a hill (Far)

-Killing random players you meet in a town (Close)

-Or using side chat like you did.

Now the "non-bandits" are like the jocks of these forums they're just going to gang up on you and make you hate yourself, but in the long run you'll probably out last them when you put the barrel of your gun to the back of their head.

And as I say this I still don't like the idea of being a Bandit, but I understand when I have to kill someone. But this is how it looks from a bystander on these forums, and it's not cool guys. Sure he kills your virtual character, yes you worked hours to get to where you were I've had it happen to me. But without Bandits, DayZ loses that look over your shoulder and anxiety feel. It's just be a bunch of AS50 Ghilles running around looting town to town until the server restarted, then you'd do the same thing over again. It'd get boring quickly.
