Which map is better??

I was just wondering want map is better Chernarus or namlask or lingor. because our clan is looking for a better map to play on so yer. tell me your thoughts.

It is one beautiful map but I have a different p.o.v.

If you want some, what I believe harsh survival, try Namalsk. No shortage of weapons. Food/Drink I find rarely. Less sniper/500m+ kills, unless you're daytrippin'. Actually found helicopters, zodiac's, 5-ton's. Alien weaponry 'ah-woooo' ^_^

I agree. The rarity of military grade weapons is what makes or breaks a map. All the modded maps are cool for a different pace.. but I find them to be less stimulating, as I rarely feel the realism and simulation I do in chernarus. (Not to mention the lack of servers with a day-night schedule that isn't tampered with)

I'd say chernarus is the best. Even though namalsk is fun with its low food/water, weapons are way too common (military grade). Same thing with the other maps, except for maybe lingor. But I don't like the setting of lingor.

I think all of the base maps have way too many weapons. Chernarus has the least, so that's the best one in my opinion, but custom mods like DayZ Redux are better.

I had enough palmtrees from playing crysis and farcry...so I dont play Lingor...Lingor geography dosent feel right either. Namalsk is greit fun but has its limitations like the small size which makes it a pain in the ass to store stuff in a tent. It more focused on actually surviving, But weapons are too abundant...takes me 20 min to raid a couple military camps and get high ends weapons pretty fast.

I like lingor better just cause of the auto fuel feature at gas stations and I know of a server that is hacker free cause of two friendly admins that help out new players to the server

Chernarus. It's... my Chernarus. I've grown in Chernarus, I have tried other maps but...Did mention that the best one is Chernarus?

Hello there

I don't think one can label a map "better" than the other as different features will appeal to different folk.

Chernarus can be very pretty indeed and often *feels* real. But, it is a resource hog.

Lingor, whilst not as professionally put together has a nice "voodoo" feel to it and has plenty of enterable buildings and some "fun" inclusions such as the racetrack. It also performs more efficiently for me.

Namalsk is also a groovy place with a very Stalker like feel (many ripped assets from the stalker game) and again is a good performer.

Your best bet is to try em all and chat with yer clan mates, it's difficult to decide on your behalf.

Chernarus is still the best for me. I really like Namalsk, especially with survival being much more difficult but the map is too small and there are way too many weapons around. Tents are pointless and you're pretty much guaranteed to run into someone wherever you go. Surprisingly though, I've had a few friendly encounters there. Ran into a guy with a chopper and not only he didn't kill me but he offered me a lift. Never happened on Chernarus. If Namalsk was a lot bigger and had less weapon spawn points it would suit this game perfectly I think.

Chernarus is definitely the best multiplayer map, just because of the full immersion. My own personal favorite is lingor, just because I love the urban combat feel.

Namalsk for higher stress p v p, more guns and less food, all in a map about 1/10 area of chernarus.

Chernarus for more of a zombie survivor map; I find it more relaxing than Namalsk.

I like them both.

Some say Panthera is awesome... I thought it was boring.

Some say Namalsk is lame... I think it's a blast and a different set of challenges.

Only you will know which map you like best!

Taviana is twice as big as Chernarus ? I have to try this map ! It must be immense !

Icebreakr's maps - Lingor, Panthera - have that ridiculous bug with the single doors in his new barrack huts being too small for the player to fit through unless he goes prone !! The people are much friendlier on Lingor, Panthera, Namalsk etc due to there being no shortage of resources or vehicles to compete over.

I wish Namalsk was bigger too. And had more food or animals to kill. Otherwise you only have enough food to get from Vorkuta to Object AII and back repeatedly.

And the Eastern side of the island needs developing more as it is empty save for a hospital and supermarket.

But if you look at the new features for Namalsk 0.70 (http://mydayz.de/en/dayz-news/209-dayz-namalsk-0-70-preview you realize how inventive Sumrak is. He is way ahead of Rocket at implementing things like temperature, breath, and other survival features.
