Recommended Posts

So had an encounter to day that left me pondering the question...

Can u actually hit somebody whilst they are in a car when you are using a hatchet.

please leave what you think or you have tested it.

i think not like it would be cool if you are in a bus or car and shoot out the windows (drive by) hahaha

I have never tested it but the hatchet isn't actually a melee weapon. Arma isn't coded for melee so the hatchet is actually a very shot range silenced gun. I would imagine if you are standing at the driver side window you could hit he driver but not the passenger.

well today i was standing near the drivers side window of a UAZ i had hit the guy once before he got in the i just spammed trying to hit him through the window. he fell unconscious and was ejected out of the car. so in short i don't know if i was acutally hitting him when he was in the car.

You were most likely hitting him.

Like Bigdogsco said, the "axe" is actually a short-range, silenced weapon.

That's also why you need to "reload" your hatchet prior to using it.
