Rastamaus 323 Posted November 19, 2012 I use it mostly for flight sims and occasionally for Arma, will the standalone support it too?
the LawsOfFire 20 Posted November 19, 2012 since Dayz SA will be using the combined engines of ToH and ArmA 2. and they both support that, i would be surprised if they dont

Trizzo 632 Posted November 19, 2012 (edited) yeah, that's what i figured, be good to know for sure is all, before i upgrade to the mk5I would like a definitive answer from a dev because fuck i hope so! I just ordered 5Pro bundle! Don't scare me maus! I imagine it will given that all arama (at least 2 and 3) games support it.It looks so fucking good, can't wait to make a demo for it with the full range of movements. Clearing stairwells and buildings will be so smooth and natural. Edited November 19, 2012 by Trizzo
rooneye 135 Posted November 19, 2012 Can you use this in the MOD currently? I imagine you can, right? If so it would seem illogical to remove it for the standalone.

If so it would seem illogical to remove it for the standalone. You run it with the current mod but a tiny amount of people do or at least only a tiny amount of people make videos about it. Makes me worried that in the rush to get SA out it will be overlooked. Edited November 20, 2012 by Trizzo
Fraggle (DayZ) 15720 Posted November 20, 2012 I don't see why they'd remove the ability to use it. And don't worry about them rushing a game out, we've all seen what happens when you try that. They may have to rush the alpha a bit because of Rocket climbing Everest in the new year (and he's got a military medical over Xmas I think) but the final stable game will take as long as it needs to get it right.
Hetstaine 10852 Posted November 20, 2012 Computer says yes.
RuecanOnRails (DayZ) 23 Posted November 20, 2012 There has been no definitive YES or NO in regards to trackIR released from the game developers. But with that said speculation is very high seeing as it is supported by the engine DayZ will be using as well as all the current mod.If I can't fly my helicopter in the standalone via TrackIR I don't know what I will do. I'd also be willing to bet that if something happens where it isn't supported at the release of the alpha it will be supported further down the line in development. boneboys 7988 Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) I'm going to stick my neck out and say YES.Funnily enough I don't use my TrackIR with DayZ, always in ArmAII, ToH.It's because the Infected come running at me from "I don't know where" and I lose Track.... buster0083 1 Posted November 20, 2012 It would make no sense for there not to be support. It's running on the Real Virtuality engine, the API already exists, and frankly, I cant play without it these days. Project CARS goes unplayed vs rFactor 2 because of no TrackIR support yet
martin.th@gmx.de 17 Posted January 9, 2014 I saw greyed out TrackIR settings in the SA, does it work now?
