Launch as Combined Operations.

Hey there,

I was wondering if somebody knows why when i wanna play Dayz there is no "Launch as combined operations" option, that usually shows in a pop-up screen when try to star the ARMA2:AO game.

This will only appear if the game is running off steam. And by running off steam, I mean it also must be a steam game, rather than a non-steam game.

I recommend downloading Six Updater or DayZ commander. This will make your launch process much easier.

Possibly? I am unsure as I haven't launched ArmA through steam in months..

put all of your arma 2 files in your arma 2 oa addons folder

then launch OA

yes steam automatically starts co now you don't need to copy the arma files over anymore.... they are located in the common folder in oa

I used Dayz Commander, but the problem is that dont use steam and his community chat, thats why i want to solve this problem :)

It stupids though because they still sell CO but will never give you the CO-Launcher again. From what I understood, CO was to give you the ability to launch Arma 2 with Operation Arrowheads graphic/game-engine (script-stuff) upgrades.

They wont deny or confirm my questions about launching A2 through OA. In fact, the manner in which they answer suggest its more shady than it is.

Anyway, I'll be reversing the charges on my CC and repurchasing CO (though I have a CO-key and its in my purchase-history, it's not in my library and, atm, I can buy a second copy for the same Steam account. That's why Im qq. If it came back "you already own this software" at least I'd know somewhere-somehow, they/Steam acknowledge my purchase as something valid.)

I believe they just ran out of CO-keys and are substituting A2&OA keys :lol:

there is no co keys they are all a2 and oa keys in retail they both install to the same location and in steam it now copies the files over and starts it as default and you can disable it in expansions in the arma options.

Makaveligz in dayzcommander option click run with steam to get the overlay working or you can create a shortcut within steam so steam will launch it and you will have the overlay just be sure that when you open the overlay you are not holding a key down otherwise it will stick and you have to press it a couple of times quite fast to get it working again

if you want to create a shortcut for steam and find servers using the arma browser click on the add non steam game then browse then go to the arma oa beta exe and press ok

then find the new entry in the steam library and go to properties change the the name to dayz

change the target to this

for x64 and installed on c:\

that steam launches co now if you launch oa in steam and go into expansions and activate oa and arma then it is co if you disable arma and leave oa its then oa

It is not giving me an option to disable Arma 2.
