Erizid 56 Posted November 11, 2012 I think ancient history zombies would never work. A 5000 man strong Roman Legion or 20,000 man pikeman formation would crush any zombie horde. They are actually BETTER equipped for a zombie apocalypse than most cities. Also think about population. There are seven billion people on the planet right now. A fast-spreading zombie plague would mean humanity is quickly and severely outnumbered. In Roman Times, there were only around seventy to eighty million people spread across the globe.
crockett (DayZ) 41 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Exit Humanity was released in 2011.. It's a lower budget film, but was made rather well. It's a zombie movie from the 1800's time setting is almost immediately after the American Civil War.Trailer IMDBhttp://www.imdb.com/title/tt1781812/It's on Netflix streaming btw, that's where I watched it. Parasprite 35 Posted November 12, 2012 The masses aren't interested in the idea of zombies so much as people shooting zombies.
Goggalor 191 Posted November 12, 2012 most cities are walled and can't sustain themselves without outside help. They could sustain themselves. Siege warfare was all about the ability of cities to sustain themselves for years on end while the enemy bombarded the city for months or even years. They were made for holding out hordes. What would be interesting would be if the infection got inside the walls.
