When a hacker spawns buildings & objects...

Hello,

When a hacker spawns buildings or objects on a server, they seem to outlast automated restarts. A favorite server of mine has had several dome tents and a railroad car spawned onto the NWAF, and lord knows what and where else, but the automated every-6-hour restarts do not remove them.

Does some kind of server wipe need to occur to remove them permanently? Would an even like this remove legit tents as well?

The reason I ask is I have a 2-vehicle, 4-tent personal base on this server and I would like to remove my tents and gear if I knew that the server would need to be hard-restarted in the future once these spawned objects are noticed by the admins. It would take awhile, so I only want to do it if I knew some kind of heavy handed server wipe was inevitable.

Bump.

I've posted on the server in question's forums, but they are moderated and my post has yet to be approved. The forums are a bit of a ghost town, so I don't even know if they'll reply.

Fuck it, I'm moving my gear.

If a building or domed tents are there after a server restart I would doubt it would be a hacker that spawned them in, instead I would contact an admin because it is most likely the admins modifying the map for dayz

I once had a hacker spawn a multi story Hotel on Krutoy Cap

He had placed it on the map so it stayed on restarts.

It has to be removed from the map or the map file needs to be replaced from a back up.

I have a 'hosted server' so I had the server host remove it.

They are just scattered in a terribly haphazard way. I created an account on the clan's website, but they need to approve the posts, and 3 days in, it has not been approved or posted. From what I can tell, there are only 4 people posting on the forum... me and 3 admins, lol.

I ended up giving away all the gear I didnt want.

Fact: Buildings spawned by hackers do not stream in again after a restart. They are loaded in from the database, which cannot be hacked client-side.

The server admins are placing objects, but having trouble positioning them, or they are simply playing around a bit.

This. It takes a little trial and error when adding buildings through the database, easier in someways than the editor but positioning can take a few attempts to get it how you want it. If buildings were hacked in they would disappear after a server restart without exception.

Did folks not read what I posted --> I once had a hacker spawn a multi story Hotel on Krutoy Cap

He had placed it on the map so it stayed on restarts. <--- and thats the way it was.......... My host was very understanding and fixed it. The host 'told' me it had been placed on/in the map and that was why it was still there after server restarts.
