S.T.A.L.K.E.R - Namalsk relation

Recommended Posts

I just started playing Namalsk today and explored it with some buddies. We made our way to the object all where the zombies appear to be wearing almost futuristic armor. I noticed right off the bat. It looks like monolith armor from the S.T.A.L.K.E.R series, along with the so called RAIL GUN being from STALKER, I have no idea if that was the idea behind that. Further exploring I found those little green crates that you use in STALKER to store stuff in. The crates in Namalsk look EXACTLY like those crates.

Before I receive any "This has been talked about before", I did research on if anyone did post about them being related.

If there is any other form of information about this or any other post I would appreciate a link in the comments so I may read it myself.

I find this crazy and awesome at the same time due to the fact that I'm a HUGE S.T.A.L.K.E.R fan.

Yeah, there's a mod of some sort that changes the player models/animations from those of STALKER.

I would love to get my hands on that mod, but sadly I haven't been playing ARMA 2 or the DayZ mod in ages.

Yeah it is based on stalker.

Dunno if you know, but Namalsk is just the Island from the STALKER like campaign for ArmA 2. So if you love STALKER maybe you would like that mod. And seeing as you already have ArmA 2, it couldnt hurt to give it a try.

There is also a S.T.A.L.K.E.R mod for arma 2 as well:

Today we played with my bud and noticed that Vorkuta looks a bit like Pripyat, so yeah :P

A lot of the scenic pieces and such were taken directly from STALKER. It's great, as a fan of STALKER I get flashbacks everywhere I go. For instance, those towers with the stairs on one side, or the buildings and atmosphere of Vorkuta.
