Recommended Posts

Every time i try to play dayz it will load perfectly and i look at the server list but when i click play. the dayz logo will show up and will load 3 quarters of the way then stop and say

"Arma2operationhead has encountered a problem and needs to close." this happens every time and i want to get online because i havnt actually played the game yet

If this helps I installed the latest beta patch again and the server let me join and play for about a minute before crashing again

Also, are you using DayZ commander, SixLauncher, or a manual install (which would be impressive for a new guy.)?

I tried Dayz commander first. thats when the problem was first brought up and i thought it was just some bug. Thats when i tried Six after that didnt work i tried installing manually and still no results. I then did a system restore reinstalled all of my games and downloaded Six launcher and it let me play for about 30 seconeds brfore crashing again.

Try opening OA, join a server and see if the same thing happens there. If not, uninstall Dayz and reinstall it. If it does crash there as well, follow these instructions: http://forums.bistud...e-crash-Do-this

You might also get some hints from the rpt file. I suggest deleting the file first, then get a crash and check it afterwards.

And running AO by itself gives no issues? While you're checking, ensure you have all the mods/extension's you want running (I did read the part about the DayZ logo coming up)

-edit Might as well throw your system-specs up there, as well.

Damn, XP?

Thats old.

Blunt and Rakrul are right, try playing VANILLA arma2 and oa separately and then do combined operations.

It could be a system problem or a bad install of Arma or DayZ.

Launch Options Look at the one option " -winxp ". ATI 5500 series. Is it an physical card or onboard?
