darthjord28 0 Posted November 4, 2012 I try to load a server that is up-to-date, 1.7.3 or whatever using dayzcommander and it says battleye initialisation failed. What does this mean?
Sula 1205 Posted November 4, 2012 I'm sorry I can't help you. There are a number of issues that might be relevant, for example: Did you install dayz and the patches/updates via steam, or dayz commander or manually? If steam have you checked your files are up-to-date and verified? It's quite possible a more experienced pc person will be able to help with your query. Sorry I don't have an answer but good luck.
Sula 1205 Posted November 4, 2012 (edited) Moved? where? If you don't tell him where you moved it to, how's he meant to know that? And how are we to see it and be able to provide help? Honestly, the culture here is just inherantly unhelpful.Other forums leave a marker in a forum, showing where a thread has been move to. Troubleshooting might make sense to you but not necessarily to a bambi. Edited November 4, 2012 by Sula
darthjord28 0 Posted November 4, 2012 I used dayz commander to connect to servers. I installed the latest patch/update 1.7.3 and it says "battleye initialisation failed".
grndctrl 28 Posted November 4, 2012 (edited) There are many many threads about this , but you can try to : Run / steam as administrator / Arma 2 ( wait until you get to the game menu , then exit) It will reinstall BE / Arma 2 AO (same thing , wait until you get to the game menu, then exit.) Fire up DayZcommander , check versions. Once in the game lobby wait and see the BE message. Hope this helps cheers! If anyone ever offers you a fix or similar with a file - never ever run it. It will steal your cd-key. When you have DLed the dll-file, move it to your program files/whatever/operation arrowhead/extension folder and it should work. If it doesn't, run OA as admin and join a regular OA server, close as normal and then run Dayz.
boneboys 7988 Posted November 6, 2012 Sounds like BE needs to update.Try to join a server with the best ping possible and a low player count.I've done this in the past and BE has loaded/updated within a couple of minutes, then join your regular server.Might help, might not.
