Namalsk map question, doesn't fireplace heat the body in the mountains?

Recommended Posts

Doesn't a bonfire heat the body in the mountains? The body temp icon kept blinking even when sitting near a fireplace in the snowy mountain, and only got better when lighting a new fire at a lower altitiude.

I am not sure, and the change log isn't real detailed on the functionality (makes me almost wish I had the time to learn script, but need to learn Spanish first. Latino girls.) but I am pretty sure that you need the warm clothes to heat up any time you at high elevation and/or on the snow. The negative effects from snow + elevation overshadow the positive effect from the fireplace.

Yes it does warm the body, but I only noticed it when I laid over the fire, I mean over as in roasting myself. It was when the icon stopped flashing I realised it worked!

You have to be on top of it, works.

Check the Namalsk Topic for latest chang log.

no

i think temperature in namalsk is borked somehow, even if you take a heatpack you be back at bibbering in no time, same with warming yourself at a fireplace.

maybe its by design, namalsk is supposed to be a hardcore pvp map. then again i had not much pvp there yet, its a just tad toooo hardcore for my liking.

where i am glad that we now get 1.7.3 to play with :D

The fireplaces are extremely buggy in their current state, and yes you need to be on top of them to heat up no matter what map you are playing on.

I was sitting near the fireplace. Took ca. 10 minutes to raise the temp to relative greenish.

PS: in Chernarus
