Medieval Style (Swords or heavy armor against zombies and their claws)

I've realised that in Zombie apocalypse Rifles/pistols are not that useful to kill zombies. They are moree needed in PvP.

However if we have a very good PvP guns Like AK, or other automatic rifles. We don't have a very good anti-zombie weapon.

Hatchet is slow, knife is short, baseball bat not that damage.... Crossbow is great - but very slow reloading speed.

What i thought about after Watching the 3 Season of the Walking Dead is - Swords.

Swords are really great in zombie Apocalypse!! Make them Fast, and do lots of damage! Make them rare!

Cutting zombies into pieces with Samurai Sword is EPIC, isn't it?

P.S. May be not only Samurai Sword, but also other (simple Swords). Maybe add some Medieval-style things. Armor or...

I am sure it would be useful against zombies.

For example, even if u have a vest against bullets, Zombies still can cut through your clothes.

Camo camouflage is great for visibility - but if zombie is near, he will rape you through it easily!

Someting like heavy armor will really protect you against zombies.

But the disadvantage is - they are toooo heavy. Wearing heavy armor will make you move slowly, but feel protected.

I think it also should be craftable or like that.

In Epsiode 3 in 3rd Season there was a nigger Afroamerican, who sent an arrow right in the head.

Crossbow is slow but more aim and power.

Bow is fast, but less damageble, and accuarcy is not that high.

That's not the point. The point is to stop ZOMBIES from kill you. If you want bullet resistant armor then put ceramic plates body armor in which will stop most rounds

Yes this makes you vulnerable targer for players, but not for zombies.

You know there are 2 type of players: one likes killing other players, other likes killing zombies, and dont like PVP.

What i say, that there are a lot of choice for PVP players: different weapons, etc.

But for zombie fighters there are only 2 choices: Crossbow, or Hatchet.

I think that it should be changed.

Okey, i will provied you an example.

You have a base, for a long time, you have a big group in there. But one day, many zombies get into it from different sides.

Will anti-bullet armor help you?

Shootin will attract may be even more zombies. You will loose a lot of ammo on it.

But if you have Iron armor, and Fast swords, or Bows... It is much easier.

(About Swords against 100 zombies) - If you will try to kill 100 zombies using firearms, you will waste tons of ammo, and gave a 99.9% chance of attracting more zombies.

But if you are a group of at least 3 people with Swords and Heavy armor, you can slowly kill them. Remember the Walking Dead Series. They are walking back to back with melee weapons, that's it.

Also Swords - should oneshot zombies and players, Because this is cutting Sword, it cuts everything easily.

However it depends on a sword quality.

Having medieval armor will give you choice!

Choice is:

-Be weak against players.

-Be weak against zombies.

The point of this suggestion is to give Broader Choice. That's it.

Now there is no real items that can help you fight the zombies easily.

But u think it would be great to add them.

Do you realize how heavy a full suit of ANY armor is? Do you realize it takes 2 people to put it on, and take it off. And if the person falls over, they need help back up? not to mention you'll be as slow as a Turtle in it.

Even if you're in "full coverage" armor (including plating, leather ,and chain mail) you will still be overwhelmed by numbers, and they will find a weak spot, and open you up.

Blades weaken, and dull fast when cutting through bone. as well.

The point is IT's NOT PRACTICAL AT ALL.

Answer is clear - no.

Iron armoe is not for making you true knight. It is to reduce the chance to be bitten or injured by a zombie.

Of course it will slow you, but not that much.

Blades - this will add epicness to the game.

How about Dual wielding?

Two blades. This will look extremely cool. Real Zombie hunter. Fast and swift.

Maybe iron armoe is not a good idea, plastic will fit better.

But what about simple iron plate that will cover part of your body.

Put it on your stomach, and will save your life once.

It is not a full knight set what i propose. The thing i propos is small Medieval Elements, that will help you fight the zombies.

I would like to wear Iron Helmet, that will make me look really cute, and more armored.

Example: Iron Knight Helmet will prevent oneshot killing from headshot, or so on.

Iron helmet will stop crossbow or a bow arrow.

Iron armor will do it aswell,

Can you kill a man in heavy armor with bare hands? NO.

So What the Heck zombie can? Zombies has hands and mouth, same as people have. They are just more aggresive.

But again - having full heavy armor set would be not a good idead - too heavy.

But heaving some pieces (Legplate) or etc. will increase your survival chances, but with Movement speed reduction.

MY Suggestion is to give the choice to balance: Armor---Speed.

Don't label us all as being arrogant like that. It's pretty ignorant to say so. I'm sure you agree that every race and nationality has their own set of people that are extremely ignorant. As for your use of the word n*****, I'm sure most English speaking people are going to automatically relate the word with racism as that is what it means in our language. We don't know your language so we can only go by what we know. It's good to know you didn't mean it in the way we thought, just a misunderstanding.

All that aside though I love the idea. There should be armor to protect the part of the body it is on however it should have some negative effects on you as far as stamina and range of movement. You would also need to make zombie attack different parts of the body so armor doesn't become a sort of invulnerable shield of sorts.

As far as swords, yes! I'd love to have a sword! I don't always want to be firing a weapon and making noise. I would reserve that for a situation when I'm in a tight spot and have no other choice.

You would need to make it realistic as well. Maybe have longer clicks of the mouse result in a stronger swing for more damage, however, it would take time to recover making you vulnerable to an attack from another zombie. You can do quicker swings to stay balanced and ready to attack however it would do less damage. You should also need to perform maintenance on your blade like sharpening it. After "X" amount of times of sharpening it, the blade should break as it becomes structurally weak.

No matter what, there definitely needs to be an increase of melee weapons and silent weapons such as crossbows and bow & arrows. Something as simple as a pipe should be able to be used. The weight of the weapons should also have different effects when being used. Hitting a zombie with a pipe should have a different effect from a blade. Blades should be different as well. The length of it should be taken in account as well as the shape of it. Some are meant for stabbing while other are meant for slicing. Some are meant for both.

You wouldn't really need a set of plate armour, it would more likely get you killed than protect you.

A leather jacket, a pair of jeans, a pair of doc-Marten boots.

If you've ever tried to eat any of these things, you'll know, they're probably the best weight/protection ratio you'll get against zombies.

I would gladly lose a bit of armour for a bit more manoeuvrability.

Medieval Armors? Sure, as a decoration in a mansion. Swords? Machete would do good. + About the example of "be against 100 zombies" first of all its rly hard to cut off a head with a single swing with a sword(its different if it comes to katana blablabla) second thing, "I would just go for its head" Sword can be stuck inside a skull, third thing- Try swinging normal classic long sword for about an 20 minutes. After the swinging imagine that you would have to aim and hit something, also endure the recoil that sword impact gives to your body.

Museums, castles or some medieval nerds basement. There's a lot of people training in medieval martial arts just for fun and therefore have the respective equipment.
