Does anyone even play public hive anymore?

It's difficult to even find a full public hive server now-a-dayz. I always though the server-hopping persistance system was one of the unique features of DayZ, and i feel that private hives destroy that part of the game.

Most people seem to think differently, and play private. That, or they play private on a different map.

I miss the glory dayz.

I'm sure after standalone there will be a much better anti-hack system, and public hive server will begin to repopulate. Also if this goes big (like I guess it could), then you would be playing with heaps of others, and many new players, so it might have a lot of players. Same thing goes, it could go pear-shaped and be very easily hacked, though I doubt that.

well 34k players are still using the public hives so they are out there, honestly though i have had so much more fun on private servers!

Some or maybe all vilayer servers are part of a private hive so you can still server hop.

Still playing public hive. And hackers are pretty funny. The small joys I get out of destroying stuff they spawn in. It actually keeps me in the game.

What servers you playing on? I always find at least 3 full servers (60 person) on public. Although they are Aussie servers and there're not many private aussie

Havn't seriously played on a pub hive in ages, mainly because nobody seems to host to Australia anymore, seriously there is a very little amount of Aus servers, I honestly could probably type in au to the filter and count the Aus servers on my fingers. Stuck playing random private hives until standalone. Hate it.

yeah depends on the time but usually there are 1 , 2 or 3 full server at most on public hive... still i always play onto them, its real dayZ. i hate private becase the admins SUCK and CHEAT!!,,, also usually empty ,,.

Still play on a public server, I always stuck to one server at the time. Never liked server shoppers.

Why on earth would you want to play on an Aussie hosted public hive server?
