so the text colour and size has changed doesnt really effect the game and if its the server thats done it then you dont have to play on it.

First of all they didn't just change the color and size, they added a sentence of immersion-breaking stupidity ontop of the already immersion-breaking size and color. My problem, as you could probably guess, is that it's IMMERSION BREAKING, and their deliberately targeting a large, succesfull server.

Nothing short of terrorism and they all need to be publicly executed. Grab your guns and get in the truck.

If you had watched the video you would see me going through the settings attempting to turn it off.

This hack is annoying as it persists even after a mission restart, the server itself needs to be killed and relaunched. It also keeps spawning a process over and over slowly eating up server resources. Luckily the hacker was dumb enough to put his uid in the code so I already banned him. Hopefully this doesn't happen again. In one instance it disabled the ability to use the scroll wheel.

I've had my debug altered by a hacker once before. Instead of simply displaying the details it usually does, the hud also included a feature that told me how far away the nearest zombie was. What it resulted in, was that Battleye kicked me (and every single one of the server's other 39 players) on account of a supposed script restriction. You could rejoin but you'd get kicked again for the same restriction within 30-60 seconds.

It's not just a debug monitor. I experienced the same thing on UK 25 (my own favourite server) on two consecutive days. The first day it was called Teqwahh's Monitor and the second day it was called Monky Monitor. It claimed to provide anti-hacking capabilities and would kick people from time to time.

Sounds good right? Well it also prevented you from saving vehicles or tents, which is a bummer. It also made the server lag heavily meaning if you logged off within a reasonable amount of time of picking up an item (5mins) it didn't register in the hive and the item was gone when you logged back in. You also couldn't refill jerry cans at all, but that wasn't a problem because with all the server lag you could dupe as many items into existence just by moving them back and forth from your inventory and backpack. After a few hours of play the server is so crippled from the hack that frame rates drop to under 10fps for everyone. No problem because you play on a server with regular restarts right? Wrong. The hack also disabled the restart and required admin intervention.

It's not much fun.
