ArmA 2 OA Patch Problem (Please Read)

Hey Guys,

I know this is dumb of me to be posting on DayZ rather than ArmA, but I have a good reason for it:

I looked all over ArmA Forums, random forums, and DayZ forums, and have no answer, and the answers that people did have i already did and never worked. Also posting on the ArmA forums will do no good whatsoever considering, no one really plays ArmA but only DayZ, and wouldn't check those forums at all.

So anyways, as it seems, when I try to install the new Patch (98442), it doesn't work. However, on my desktop it did work. I tried the way I did on the desktop, and many other ways and it never works. I tried, DayZCommander, manual install, etc. none works. I do have all the files correctly installed and in the right place. I'm also using ArmA Free, but it works on my desktop. Now when it doesnt work, I mean by that as it extracts, then a few seconds later, "ArmA 2 OA is not installed or may be corrupt."

Please help with this, and I don't care if this may be the wrong section (if it is) I just want to best and quickest results. Also to add, I'm sitting on long island with Sandy in my face so, if I don't respond it about an hour,i probably died, lol. >.>

Verify integrity of game cache (because it says there are corrupt files)

Right click ARMA 2 : OA > Local Files > Verify integrity of game cache, and then it should launch, you will then need to follow the steps again to install the beta, as the verification will revert to the default .exe
