The EASY way to repair a heli

all you need is ONE single piece of scrap metal and a jerry can.

That is ALL! you don't need the rotor,engine parts, glass etc etc at all!

The chopper will fly if you just repair the vertical rotor using scrap metal, and ofcourse you need two Jerry cans minimum so you can fly to the nearest gas tank to fill up.

so simple!

ofcourse but this is enough to get you flying so you can land near a fuel tank, then you can fuel up and take the heli to a factory to hunt for other parts to repair to full.

but to get the chopper flying all you need is fuel and ONE single piece of scrap metal to fix the vertical rotor

also another tip, you will use LESS fuel if you DON't hold down Q while flying.

Hit Q once to get the rotors started, wait about 30 seconds, then hold Q to hover up and as soon as you clear the trees let go of Q, try NOT to use the Q button to fly and you will last longer in the air.

You'll also fly slower, thus taking longer to get to the gas station.

So the best way to repair a chopper is to find all the right stuff and fix it with no short cuts! I wouldn't want a chopper half built with all the AS50's out there.

You'll also fly slower, thus taking longer to get to the gas station.

you can still tap forward to have momentum and you.will fly well over 100 mph but as long as you dont SPAM the Q key your fuel will last longer.

i tried to fly in arma 2 tutorial and i don't want to do it again in dayz..but i wouldn't stay in a heli that can go down with a makarov round..sure it can be better to have it soon and take some risk than coming back and seeing it is gone..

News just in. You can't down a heli with a makarov. There's a cool vid I'm waiting on that may disprove this. I think it may be uploaded any day now.
