i have the 'Six launcher' and the 'Six Updater', when i try to enter a game it boots me back to the multiplayer server list and says "you cannot........" so if any one has any idea why it is doing this please help me, i have used the 'Six launcher' and not the manual install so why is it not working?

please help ASAP, i really want to play DayZ with my friends

You've either installed it wrong or six updated isn't adding "-mod=@dayz"

Make sure your files are placed in

"arma 2 operation arrowhead\@DayZ\Addons"

If you installed it through SixUpdater, I can't tell you if it added the proper command line parameters. When it gives me that error message, it's because I ran Operation Arrowhead instead of Combined Operations. When you install it manually to run through Steam, it adds a command line that runs DayZ through Combined Operations.

Best idea for you is to follow the video on the download page, install the mod manually, and then try her out.

I honestly don't know. The game is in Alpha; both it and ArmA II are incredibly finicky. If you found something that works, just go with it. Also, the "stuck on loading" thing is a pretty common problem; probably doesn't have anything to do with anything you've done.

Sorry i was out, as for the screenshot everything Looks as if it's in the right place it must be the command line you were putting in wrong on steam for any of the six program's I don't know.

This is how the "Target" should look like when right clicking the Arrowhead.exe file: \Steam\steamapps\common\arma 2 operation arrowhead\Expansion\beta\arma2oa.exe" -beta=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -mod=@DayZ -nosplash

Keep in mind, this is with the Beta Patch added.

If you run it through steam without the beta patch, you just need to right click the arrowhead name in your game list then "properties" and then, "launch options".

Paste this in the field: -mod=@DayZ -nosplash

Click ok, and close.

double click arrowhead to launch the game, and when the pop-up shows up. choose "COMBINED OPERATIONS", in the bottom of the window of options to choose from.

I've said this before. There are millions of posts on this subsection, and every single one, has an answer to this very same question. Plus there is the guide at the top, made by the admins.

Now that I have done that it comes up with "you cannot play/edit .......... Deleted.chernarus" argh nothing but problems... I just want to play is it really that hard?

Copy ALL files of your Arma 2 folder to your Operation Arrowhead folder. Overwrite when promted.

I am beginning to wonder if this mod is some kind of sick joke? I have tried every method of install and set up that I can find. I hit a server and get stuck on a load screen, Sometimes the game actually gets going and all i can do is just stand there and not move. Other times it just says 'retrying to authenticate' and on the odd occasion i get to actually play until i need to respawn and then I get booted off.

I have run a thousand mods for a thousand games and not seen anything like this. I have used the six updater and run it from both shortcuts it provides to no avail. I launched from steam with the correct parameters and still nothing.

What I have tasted I love and want more! Please forgive my frustration as I have never had to jump through so many hoops in order to play a game.

Please help!
