Have you stopped playing the mod? Hackers too much? Tired of no updates? Waiting for standalone?

Then donate your key to someone who will put it to good use.

My friend is tight on cash at the moment, but he really wants to give DayZ a try. I was going to let him use my cdkey, since I only play it about once a week these days, but it would be great if I could show him the ropes and help him get started in DayZ. But, that wouldn't be possible if we both used the same key. So, I figured I'd throw it out there, to see if anyone isn't using theirs anymore and wouldn't mind sharing?

I wouldn't ask if the situation wasn't like it is. I know there's a lot of people who bought Arma2+OA solely for DayZ and now they've stopped playing. Buying Arma2+OA for DayZ at this point seems kind of silly, paying $30 for a mod that isn't getting updated, and is going standalone in about a month. I figured I'd get him hooked on the mod and by the time standalone comes out he'll be.... one of us.

the mod will continue to be supported, and updated. not quite sure where you're getting the idea it is dead.

I'm not saying the mod will be gone forever and anyone who plays it will be left alone in Chernarus will all the infected. Just saying that to buy Arma2 at this point in time would be a bit wasteful since the standalone is coming so soon. It's especially wasteful when talking about gifting someone a copy, I'm not made of money, I can't gift him arma2, and then DayZ standalone a month later, either he waits for standalone, or a nice person in this community decides to share.

Discussing the state of the mod post standalone, is going off topic. I shouldn't have implied it would be dead. I know it won't.

Edit: I'm no cheater, if you thinking I am, is stopping you from sharing a key, I can always meet up with you in-game, so you can see my account is not banned. Besides, If I wanted keys for cheating, I'd buy them for cheap on the cheater boards. That, and I probably wouldn't have over 800 posts on this forum.(A lot of which are hating on cheaters)

Get ARMA II OA and ARMA free, ARMA OA is dirt cheap.

Also I looked at your post number and some of your posts, you have my beans BUT not my CD key ;) I believe you on wanting to get a friend onto the game, hell I even did it for one of my friends and lost £5 dollars to a scumbag on here but I still have some trust for people.

I'm not expecting someone else to buy him the game. I know for a fact there aren't 1,000,000 players still playing DayZ, and I also understand that a significant portion of the DayZ players don't play Arma2. So, instead of letting a cdkey go to waste, perhaps someone would enjoy knowing that another person is getting some enjoyment out of their left overs.

I'm not expecting anything here, I know people play arma2, and I know some people will want to keep their key just in case a new arma2 mod comes out or DayZ gets updated. That's fine, like I said I'm not expecting anything here. It doesn't hurt to ask... does it? I'd put money on the fact that there are plenty of keys being wasted out there.

Thanks for the Arma free suggestion (& beans :D) but I'll probably end up giving him my cdkey if I can't get another. It just sucks because then I can't watch him die over and over as a noob.
