disappearing gear

I wish there was a better mechanic to save gear. I don't mind losing gear to bandits or other players, but I do mind when I place items in a tent and try to save, then the server suddenly shuts down and I don't get my gear out in time, everything disappears.

Another issue is server longevity. I had tents setup as a redundancy on 5 separate servers, all had my gear saved there for months, but now those servers are down or no longer being paid for by admin, so again ba bye tent gear....

don't even get me started about vehicles.... not saving location, missing gear etc.

Is there a better way to preserve/save the gear you find and store?

Hoarders are funny :D all caught up with keeping their gear, reminds me of squirrels storing their nuts for the winter months. Maybe they could add a hibernation mechanic? So cute.

Nothing wrong with storing gear, everything wrong with whining on the forums about losing said gear.

It's find I'm not upset or whining just wish there was a better way to keep the gear in game.

When another player takes gear it's fine because the gear remains in the system, it simply changes ownership.

However when the server deletes the gear it is gone completely from the game. I doubt this is how Rocket wanted the game to be played.

The only way that gear should ever be removed is via explosions made from other players or stupid mistakes where you drop a live grenade.

Then I can support lost gear but this is just silly.

I went Private Hive (Bliss).

Problem solved.

Public Hive is a little hit or miss, the worst case I had was 8 server restarts before the tent started saving and then, sometimes it would be there, sometimes not !
