No safe areas, no safe storage/global inventory.This is an absolute must or kiss the survival aspect of the game goodbye - Think WarZ- Military weapons should be rare, high end weapons very rare and ammo even more so.- Ammo in general should be rare with spare mags very rare, should have to reload our own mags.I want to feel like a rich man if i have a 1911 with an extra mag and a full box of cartridges- Vehicles in greater disrepair and fuel should be as hard to find as ammo. Horses would be cool but also rare and salvageable for meat.- Make the environment a bigger factorAdded:While i dont mind the tent/camp aspect i always wonder how a re-created character would have memory of where the tent/camp is located. Alot less guns ^^,I actually think that for the sake of making the game harder, there should be a lot more guns, a lot less military grade equipment (Including rangefinders, NVGs, and yes all of the guns like make only 2 military grade assault rifles, like only the ak-74 and the an-94, maybe even make the only sniper rifle be the dragunov) and a lot more civilian equipment, a lot civilian/hunting weapons that use different ammo types, so maybe the ammo won't be as rare, but it will still be hard to find the right kind of ammo for your gunA dream of mine would be sandbox creation of strongholds/fortification. Defending it from roaming hordes, stocking it, ensuring it remains secure.Or.An ability to barracade a building, and place an anti-spawning flooring to prevent spawn hopping behind lines. I just wish there was more to do, they say it's a sandbox game but we dont have the tools to do much.I had some suggestions but I can't think of them right now.Also, you have a fine taste in music ;)Haha thank you! You have to make sure you have a clean kill, as I have experienced. Having a death delay makes banditry harder. Being a bandit is already too easy. Its a major reason I am not playing DayZ right now. I got bored. The worse a bandit you are the bigger the disadvantage you need. There my thoughts on it anyways. I guess the death delay isn't something I disagree with, but I came to appreciate what it did to the game. If its removed, I think there needs to be some other discouragement and/or handicap to PvP. If the zombies aren't very close to you, every zombie from 50m+ (Depends on the weapon, probably 200-300m or rifles) should just start wandering in (Not only towards, but inside the building) where the noise came from.And add some kind of awareness system for zombies, if they heard the gunshot, they could spot you from long distances, but while unaware, you could sneak past them easier.And to balance this, make them a lot deadlier and able to run inside (Just as I said in my last post.) Since it was originally just a mod it has some draw backs/problems from the ARMA 2 engine since it was not designed for this type of gameplay, because of this a standalone version of the game is being developed and is due to be released quite soon.This is a video explaining my thoughts and ideas on the improvements they could make to the game and make it more fun and add a little customisation. I will now list everything that is confirmed for Standalone on release.#1: New engine features, including the best components from Arma 2 and the Take On Helicopters.#2: Map overhaul, now named "Chernarus Plus" Will feature graphical optimization, new building interiors for nearly all previously unenterable buildings. Redesigned loot tables for scavenging, including tons of all new items. New locations providing a setting for background and lore.#3: New zombie AI, programmed from the ground up with the intent of making zombies a much greater threat to player survival. #4: This isn't "CONFIRMED" but I think a new inventory UI is mandatory for a release. We have had no details as to what it will be like. It is possible that they are leaving this system for last, as it may be one of the most critical updates. Mr-Zer0 62 Posted October 25, 2012 This has probably been discussed numerous times, but I'm going to talk about it anyway...When the standalone is fully released, will there be new maps coming out in the form of DLC or free updates?If so, I'd really like maps with various biomes, like how people ported Operation Arrowhead's Takistan to DayZ or the new snow map coming out for the mod. It'd really keep things fresh and give you more to think about, such as hypothermia, heat exhaustion, frostbite, sunburn, etc. New models for characters and buildings. DrunkPunk 159 Posted October 25, 2012 My biggest hope is not that they take the time to work on these maps, but leave the game open ended in terms of modifying and creating our own maps so the community can thrive in its own way. I seriously doubt Rocket would have created Lingor the way it was, and the way it is is a blast. It really helps one see the potential of the game by giving the community the power to be creative.
