ITT: Kidnapping stories

I think it deserves it's own thread, since it's unique.

In this thread, we talk about how we've been kidnapped, or someone we know has been kidnapped.

One time, I was a newspawn. I had just found a winchester, and was running towards Balota from Komorovo, and I hear CHAKACHAKACHAKACHAKA. I look up, and north, and sure enough, here comes a Huey swooping down on in me. I try to run, but a burst of automatic fire from the left door gun makes me get behind cover. The chopper lands. I poke out from behind the tree I was hiding behind, and I see it's fully loaded. Pilot, copilot, two gunners, and three passengers. The three passengers get out, and two go prone. They have LMG's. The other one approaches me, sights up with his M4 CCO SD I'm pissing myself now, and ask them what they want over direct chat. He tells me to face away from the chopper and walk out from behind cover. I do so, and double tap control so it looks like my gun isnt at the ready.

He tells me to drop my gun and bag, and I do so. Satisfied I'm unarmed, he lets me turn around, then he shoots me in the chest three times. I go unconscious, and he bandages me, and gives me a blood transfusion. It was a 5 minute unconsciousness, so I couldn't see anything as they load me into the chopper. We're in the air, and when I come to, I'm sitting in between the three guys. It was a non-third person server, so I had no idea where I was or where we were going. I ask them what they're doing, and they tell me to shut up, or they'll shoot me. I shut up.

After about 5 minutes, they kick me out of the chopper, and one guy gets out with me. The chopper flies about 2 kilometers away from us, and lands. The guy who dropped with me was one of the LMG guys, and he tells me to walk thataway, and if I do anything stupid, he'd shoot me in the legs and make me crawl there. I walk towards the chopper, obscured by trees. Once I get there, I notice that there was a camp. They had 5 vehicles: Military offroad, UAZ, Ural, V3S, and, of course, the Huey. There were tents, too. The guy with the M4 approaches me, but stays about 10 feet away.

"Tony, step off our guest. We need to treat them with respect."

The guy with the LMG says: "Aye, sir." And walks away.

I ask him what I'm supposed to do. He tells me that he and the other 6 already moved all the ammo to the guns into the cars, and that they're moving camp. I asked him what my part in this was, and he just laughed. He told me I was going to do the heavy lifting.

He leads me to the tents, and tells me to look inside of them. Every gun in the game, at least 5 of them. He tells me these were all legit, no duping whatsoever. None of them had ammo. There was food and water, too. He tells me to start loading the guns into the V3S and Ural, and not to try anything, since those are void of ammo.

I do as he asks, and after about 45 minutes of moving stuff, the guy laughs and tells me I did a great job. He drops his M4 CCO SD, ammo, sidearm, and bag. In the bag, there was food and water, a tool set, and an M249 with one ammo box. He tells me to have a nice day, and he gets in the Huey, and flies off. Everyone else gets in a car, and drives off in pursuit of the Huey. I watched their convoy go for about 20 minutes, then I lost sight of them. I checked my GPS, and headed towards the NW Airfield, with an air of bewilderment about me.

A friend and I ran over some guy once and loaded him up into the car kidnapping him. We took him to a huge camp loaded with gear and left him there without really saying much. It wasn't our camp though, one of the many we raided. ;)

Aside from that kidnapping, we pick up people and make them hatchet / crowbar fight for gear sometimes.

Yep. I was playing on a Private Hive and had just respawned near Kamenka. Moments later, I see a URAL come up the road from the west. I stand in the middle of the road hoping for them to run me over [as I wanted to spawn at Cherno to meet up with some friends].

Unfortunately, they stopped and the driver got out.

And so did 7 other guys. They were all in Camo clothing [aside from one ghillied guy who had an M24 on him]. They ran around me and started shouting "GET IN THE URAL RIGHT NOW" and stuff. So I happily did as they said.

We were driving for about...an hour or so when we reached Pik Kozlovka. I noticed that they had a shittone of tents and a few vehicles hidden up there. High end gear, the lot. I stayed in the back of the URAL to tried and be invisible. Maybe they'd forget about me and I could escape somehow.

The driver hopped out of the URAL [to get some more stanag magazines for his L85]. I thought about driving away but they could blow out the tires easily.

But then I realised something. Before the driver hopped out, him and I were the only two left in the URAL. He said on vehicle channel that he was "going to get some food" [and thus log out]. But I was the only one who could hear him as it was on vehicle channel... A plan was forming.

URAL + steep hill + rocks of Pik Kozlovka = not a very good ride.

The other guys didn't know that their driver had left. So I switched to drivers seat and waited.

"Alright, let's go raid cherno for shit," said one of the members [i think he was their leader].

They all piled into the URAL and waited for "their" driver to take them down the mountain carefully on the side. Little did they know...

I started up the engine and drove over a tent.

"The fuck man?" asked the guy sitting beside me.

"Shit, sorry, I was texting someone. I'm done now," I replied, hoping that they didn't detect the change of voice tone. They didn't, oddly enough [should have gone to spec savers...].

Oh well. I drove over three more tents and headed down the mountain.

"THAT ONE HAD OUR ENGINE PARTS IN THERE YOU FUCKING MORON. That's it, get out Jack. Stop texting you fuckhead, let me drive."

Rage filled the back seat.

And here comes the cliff...

Down goes the URAL, getting air for three seconds. It then impacted with the rock and everyone was knocked out. The URAL exploded, lighting up the dark sky.

Surprisingly enough, I was the only survivor. [Why is it that the driver survives but the passengers don't? Weird.]

Needless to say, it was absolutely hilarious.

My evening started last night simple in a rough forecast for rocky weather. So there I was fresh spawn in three valleys my choice to head north off to the side of the road and loot for my run to berenzino.

I stop in the factory and shortly after I enter, hear none other than the rumble of an engine. I peer out and see two bandit gentlemen armed to the teeth exit a UAZ and head towards the building I'm in. An unarmed hero is a good kill for them I thought so I attempt exit out the otherside and try to move off and gain distance.

As I exit I two shots zip into the ground infront of me and I am told to stop or I will be shot.

Seeing the opportunity to play a new role I surrender. the bandits claim they have been sent to take me hostage by orders of the blah blah Militia some clan. I enter the vehicle and they say not to talk one has tapped caps twice so I hear him talking to who they are meeting up with on skype or ts saying they have taken a hero hostage and are going to post on side channel their randsom demands when they meet up. we head to Berenzino hospital and they tell me I am to follow orders and retrieve items at gun point.. Fair enough I say so i enter the hospital while they aim at me and collect med supplies. I notice a few tin cans on the ground and pick them up aswell planning my escape idea. back into the truck and on to the petrol station. I empty inventory into the truck and they tell me to fill the vehicle with the two jerry cans I walk over to the station as they have me at gun point again put myself behind the petrol supply point and switch to empty cans. I say heads up and I throw one can hitting a guy in the chest which stuns him and he says "what the fuck that guy just threw something at me" I throw the next can and sprint around the backside of the building they are livid and begin shooting everywhere around me but they are shit shots. I break around the building and they chase me. i make two full circles only catching shock from bullets noticing they have yet to figure out they need to split up and chase around both sides and funnel me. So i take off deeper towards the city weaving between buildings as they keep firing. I elude and circle back towards the petrol station as they are chasing in a straight line jump back into their truck and beat cheeks out of the station. they shoot out the fuel,engine and windows but i manage to get down the road yelling blow me. They have destroyed their truck and I figured my work is done here I bail on foot weaving and take a round dropping me with a broken leg. I lay their and they are cussing at me like a pair of sailors saying I'm going to have to fix all the damage. they circle me fully focused when i hear a a sniper round zip through one and drop him the other one panics and runs to the back of the truck I roll away from it as I hear follow up shots which blow the vehicle to pieces. The bandit trys to run off towards the coast and is ripped through center mass by another round. I crawl over and bury their bodies as a slenderman comes down to me and says todays your lucky day aims his rifle in my face and says well almost slips me the bullet i awaited to the face. Held hostage funniest night I've had in weeks the rage over side channel proved epic from the two ass hats as they spawned in kamenka and cherno.

Noob question here. How does one move an unconscious character into a vehicle? I was standing guard over an unconscious friend today, but I didn't see any option to pick him up or anything, let alone put him in a vehicle. Did I just miss it?

Hmm. You should be given the option to drag the body if your target player is unconscious. If you said player right next to a vehicle it should give you the option to load the patient into the vehicle. Keep trying.

So. I remember another time.

I was playing on a Private hive, and stole this guy's car. I started picking people up on the way to Elektro, to pick my friend up. About 5 minutes in, I hear him over skype: HOLY SHIT THEY JUST KIDNAPPED ME!

I say: Lolwat

Him: Three guys with assault rifles just kidnapped me! I have to follow them...

me: Where are you?

Him: Elektro.

Me: Perfect, I got a surprise for them

He gave me updates as I drove towards them. I dropped the 4 or 5 guys I'd picked up, and then drove right through the heart of Elektro.

I see two guys behind a newspawn with assault rifles, and one guy in front. I put my foot down, and drive off road. I hear bones crack when I run the two guards over, and then I jump out.

I open up with my M4, and kill the front guard. I police the two that I ran over, and get my friend in the car. We drive off into the sunset, and live happily ever after...Till our wheels get shot out and the car blows up.

Is it weird I kind of want to get kidnapped now? I'd really prefer anything over being immediately killed.

Hmm. You should be given the option to drag the body if your target player is unconscious. If you said player right next to a vehicle it should give you the option to load the patient into the vehicle. Keep trying.
