I hope they make a game like this in the Fallout universe

Recommended Posts

I really hope they make a game like this an MMO except in the fallout universe, quests, gear, survival, and the PvP. Ahhh that'd be grrrrreat.

The concept certainley is, but Fallout 3 (as I assume you're referring to 3) is unique also due to its engine and that engine is nowhere capable of rendering a large open world with multiplayer options. it's unstable in the part of being synchronized with your actions, the engine is completley developed for singleplayer. There are some multiplayer mods out there for Fallout, Oblivion and Skyrim. But I believe those are still not fully operational yet and I have no idea how that works with the immersion of questing and what not..

But if in the near future something like this will be pulled off succesfully, I'll be set for life with this game!

I'm sure someone could create something like this as a mod in the ArmA 2 engine, if their bothered to make a bigger version of the Capital Wasteland or New Vegas (Preferably the Capital Wasteland. Urban combat in the DC Ruins! AW YEEEEEEAH!), and then remake some or all of the mutants and monsters in Fallout for it, and more, if they would be bothered to add quests. I dont think quests would fit in, though. Just surviving and some merchants around to sell your loot to. Oh and they would need to make lore-friendly weapons for it, to. Laser Rifles in ArmA 2. Holy shit that would be cool.

The concept fits, but then again, the odds of fallout being multi-player is quite nil, especially with the defunct of the Fallout: Online game.

Not a bad game, but would be almost impossible to incorporate with the current engine, and unfortunately, that engine is what makes Fallout today.

Maybe if it was made in the fashion of Van Buren, it could work, but like said, chances are slim if it is implemented.

whats fallout 3?

Seriously?

If you are actually serious, Fallout is one of the best (and most well-known) post-apocalyptic RPG series out there. The Bethesda titles (Fallout 3 and to a small degree Fallout: NV) are most easily compared to Oblivion on how they look, animations, etc. The first two were spiritual successors to the older Wasteland, and feature top-down isometric views and somewhat of an open world. There were also several decent spin-offs. Want to know anything else? Say hello to Google.

I think he just said that to let you believe he doesn't like it.

If he doesn't know about it, he doesn't know about it.

Thus why I asked him, I mean it's always possible someone doesn't know about it :P
