spartan1608 0 Posted June 15, 2012 Was looking at his post history on the forums and he posted 130 forum posts between 1:41 am and 11:59 PM on 6/14/2012.Hes a monster.Anyways, From what I have seen in the Alpha I think that in order to cut down on the massive scale of PVP we have to incorporate a more cooperative environment. Such as stronger zombies or maybe even AI Human Strongholds or something. Just a though.

rocket 16567 Posted June 15, 2012 No, its because the project nearly got shut down because of the senseless hacking. As I have said before, I have a degree of respect and a professional "tip of my hat" nod to the true authors who get in there and tinker. But what happened this week was a fucking travesty. For fifteen minutes the project was closed down, it reached a point where hackers were hoping from server to server and killing everyone.Actually, these guys weren't hackers, they weren't smart at all. They didn't make this stuff, they just copied and pasted. To call these pricks hackers is an insult to those who have the skill to do it themselves.Make no mistake, if it was not for BattlEye, you would not be playing on a server today. That's how bad it got. So I stay up until I'm sure the project is safe.

Strategos (DayZ) 190 Posted June 15, 2012 Good news indeed, great work.I died two times myself. There is something that came out of the whole hacking thing though. It was pretty exciting driving around seeing destroyed buildings with smoke billowing out. Trees shattered and ruined. hearing people getting killed by tanks. It makes me think that the occasional unforeseen event could really spice things up. Obviously not some c**t teleporting around dropping bombs on people. But something more constructive could be really interested.

I don't know how much pressure can you take but if you keep going doing everything by yourself and carrying the project on your shoulders by youself, you are going to end up in a mental hospital with all the trolling and hacking and whinning and all the coding and the lagal stuff...you are gonna break one day mate.Sleep ffs and slow down a little bit, I understand your desire to be with the community and to try to hear everyone and your disposition with the game but you are gonna run out of batteries and then all this would really go to hell. Just my two cents.

Dullard 6 Posted June 15, 2012 Things we've learned from this thread:this ain't my first rodeo' date=' cowboy ;)[/quote']1) rocket is a professional or amateur cowboy. However, he doesn't seem to be a member of The New Zealand Rodeo Cowboys Association. By his obvious love of equestrianism, can we infer that horses will be in-game soon? You're doing it wrong. Throw rainbows.2) rocket no longer wants our tears, he wants rainbows. I think this might explains why the average life expectancy keeps increasing. This comment coupled with his first seems to indicate that we should be expecting sparkling pony mounts to be patched in before long!
Jaleno 4 Posted June 15, 2012 Love your dedication rocket! I really hope you get a luxurious bonus for DayZ, actually fuck that, a shit ton of money for your genius..
