Anyways, From what I have seen in the Alpha I think that in order to cut down on the massive scale of PVP we have to incorporate a more cooperative environment. Such as stronger zombies or maybe even AI Human Strongholds or something.

No, its because the project nearly got shut down because of the senseless hacking.

As I have said before, I have a degree of respect and a professional "tip of my hat" nod to the true authors who get in there and tinker. But what happened this week was a fucking travesty. For fifteen minutes the project was closed down, it reached a point where hackers were hoping from server to server and killing everyone.

Actually, these guys weren't hackers, they weren't smart at all. They didn't make this stuff, they just copied and pasted. To call these pricks hackers is an insult to those who have the skill to do it themselves.

Make no mistake, if it was not for BattlEye, you would not be playing on a server today. That's how bad it got. So I stay up until I'm sure the project is safe.

i feel ya rocket when we ran Dekaron over at fussion-networks i got calls at 2 am " oh servers down was a hacker" and had to stay up to make sure it was fixed untill players were back in game and happy

The life of any dev's or admins is sleepless for the most part

cause when shit goes down and people cant play the game most others go home and sleep its the devs that have to stay up till the shit is fixed again

I died two times myself.

There is something that came out of the whole hacking thing though.

It was pretty exciting driving around seeing destroyed buildings with smoke billowing out. Trees shattered and ruined. hearing people getting killed by tanks. It makes me think that the occasional unforeseen event could really spice things up. Obviously not some c**t teleporting around dropping bombs on people. But something more constructive could be really interested.

Rocket, mate, I've been playing the mod and reading the forums for a few weeks now and I really think you have to take it easy. I don't know how much pressure can you take but if you keep going doing everything by yourself and carrying the project on your shoulders by youself, you are going to end up in a mental hospital with all the trolling and hacking and whinning and all the coding and the lagal stuff...you are gonna break one day mate.

Sleep ffs and slow down a little bit, I understand your desire to be with the community and to try to hear everyone and your disposition with the game but you are gonna run out of batteries and then all this would really go to hell.
