What gun? 1 or 2?

I wanna start a new weekly thing for the those who play Dayz daily or is a dedicated fan of DayZ =) I wanna start a weekly question time. I'll make a thread about a question and you answer it with a bit of text and explaining why you did choose it.

In dayz there is some weapons.. But you have had the revolver or the m1911. Both is a nice weapons but as the patch came it it's not enough with 1 shot with the revolver .. You need to make a headshot.. What i remember eheh ;)

But the question is ;P

What gun would you choose.? The Revolverfor a little extra damage or the m1911 for the extra ammo?

Edit (1 hour after reading): I asked a little lame question this time, and will be improved to the next time and make it more easier to discuss about the thing. considering the damage on both are pretty terrible, I would always go for the headshot, and therefore the m1911 is better for the ammo

I don't know what's wrong with some players...a lot claim they can still 1 shot a Zed in the chest with a 1911 or the revolver. The 9mm takes 3-4 hits to the chest. I happen to be one of them who needs only 1 shot and we all play with the same version...

I would take the 1911 because it's the 1911 :D

I know, but the revolver damage was a bit better before the patch but they lowered it down on every gun... But the m1911 is great but the revolver is a bit better for players right?

I had both at Hand and choose the Revolver. 100m effective Range made my Mind.

I found out the hard Way that reloding an precision is what you need.

Trying to Kill of a bunch of Z's with Headshots is hard when the Recoli forces you to adjust all the Time.

I switched to the M1911 but in the end i stuck to the Glock if i could, even with 25m less it is better to handle..

G17 and the M9 are by far the best pistols at the moment purely based on how many rounds they hold in the magazine and the G17 can take many different types of ammo. The PDW is also great but the sights are terrible, it can take many types of magazines though...

Trying to hit a target over 100m is a bit silly though, that's like sniping with Winchester.

Can't stand the vague sights on the 1911. I don't really like a gun that sends its rounds in the rough direction you're pointing rather than what you're actually aiming at. Revolver is much better. I'll drop the 1911 for the revolver all day long.

Something didn't update client side and as a result, it kept the damage. I reinstalled my dayz and have the nerfed gun so yes, there are people out there that still do the original damage with these weapons.

My favourite is the M1911. It fires a bit faster than the revolver, and they share the same damage.

A headshot with either of them usually kills a Zed instantly.

I also have a hunch that the revolver is a bit louder and attracts more problems.

I still get the one shot kill with those weapons. I tend to favour the revolver nowadays due to accuracy and range I can sacrifice one bullet for that :) ammo's plentiful so it ain't much of a loss.
