My guess with this little screen shot is that it doesn't matter as much as everyone wants it to.

My assumption is that they let people hack multiple times and kept track by their GUID.

Then they just took everyone over a certain threshhold or from a certain proven time span and banned them.

This may have been a relative drop in the bucket so if there were false readings for a small period, it wasn't enough to put someone up on the hacking radar.

EDIT: In fact, I will go one further... I bet this is just saying that there may be false log messages, and that they mean nothing... Meaning they resulted in nothing happening, and they are just letting the server operators know so they won't be alarmed.

The bans are not from rocket or the Dayz dev team.... email battleeye for appeals. That has been stated a million times. They did everything but show up at your house and tattoo it on your ass. That will be next.

After reading through the previous posts, I realized that I had done the same thing as that guy who had scripted to even the playing field. The worst part, I was totally aware of the consequences, and yet I failed to stop. Although probably after the first time I used the script I probably would have been flagged for banning. If you want, I can give the devs the links to the scripts I used. To help further prevention. For those curious, I used a script that would spawn a crate full of weapons, and a script that would show me vehicle and player locations. I'm what you'd call a script kiddie. I'm totally willing to take any heat from other members of this forum. But also, if anyone could help me, should I just create a new steam acc, then rebuy the games? Or, uninstall arma and OA.then buy on a new Steam acc? Any help would be appreciated. Funny thing is, I had all these awesome weapons, yet never even got the chance to use em. I was banned like 3 days after enabling the scripts. Good on BattlEye, there were no false positives here (whatever those are). I honestly think, everyone who was banned deserved it, they did something that got themselves flagged. Well, enough of my apologetic rample.

You will most likely need to create a new Steam, new Windows account, and then start over from there. You can't buy a second copy on your same steam.

A little update on my situation. BattlEye replied to our inquiry saying that his GUID was caught hacking and the ban will not be lifted. That's all they said. I know for a fact that he is not a hacker. For BattlEye to say this without even giving more information is just wrong. Everything about our situation is wrong. Obviously, I'm all for banning the people who actually hacked. But my friend doesn't even stand a chance. Sure, I can't prove anything. But to me, this seems extremely unprofessional. He bought the game two weeks back just to try out DayZ. We bought our own sever. We even played the actual campaign and whatnot. He has no reason to hack and never had one. Now, he's globally banned for basically an error.

This is not right. Go ahead and troll me and post memes all you want, but all I have to say is that it's not right.

They won't give you detailed information because they don't want to reveal which hacks are detected: that could lead to hack programmers finding out the way they are detected and circumvent it.

I didn't make a ban appeal because like you said about me, you take me by a grain of salt. I took this ban like a grain of salt and moved on. I will be getting a new game, besides I'm funding BIS anyways by doing that and I get to change my starting name anyways. On top of that I Will even be able to change my IP address and go back into the NwO server and kick all their asses again just for the lulz. So don't worry mate. It's all happening for a reason why I am not asking for a ban appeal.
