I believe that adding a guitar as item and and some animations of the character playing it would be a great addition to the game atmosphere. Bet many of us know how to play, and would be amazing to be able to share some songs at a campfire in a raining night in dayz. I remember back in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. days one would get into a town and find a friendly group telling some jokes and playing some cool songs :) Actually I found a video to just show you what I mean!

is the ability to add a guitar in the future? imaginene only a peer group in their camp with a guitar around a campfire , what is your opinion? (Sorry if there is another issue the same or if not applicable) From already thank you very much

I think it would be pretty cool to have an acoustic guitar in-game. Not as a melee weapon, but something to hold in your hands like you're playing it so musicians can walk around Chernarus with caps lock on playing and possibly singing over voip.

So this may seem a little silly but I thought, why not have some different models of guitars, bass, electric, acoustic. And their physical damage indications include broken strings towards neck, obvious missing paint, visible scratches, they can be found in the piano buildings (possibly then could we have a name for the building and call it a musical building or something), they would be fairly rare and offer about 15% more damage than a crowbar/baseball bat. Silly yet creative suggestion :P Guitar model one: (I actually was given this model on my 18th in March) Guitar model two: (more famously known for being the bass guitar of Nirvana leader Kurt Cobain) Guitar model three: (simple acoustic guitar) Any other guitarist players out there wanna suggest a model, feel free!

It would be great if the guitar was added as a melee weapon, and even better if you could even play on it, for instance you scroll while equipped with a guitar and list of songs will pop up and you pick one and character will play it. Yes it can get you killed really easily but things like that would make an awesome atmosphere (like the bandits in stalker) in the game and community events would be much more fun. And some dance animations would be also great, like in Epoch mod, where you could only danced around the fire.

Wouldnt be great to add those two items? Guitar and Bonfire. With guitar you could find some music sheets and learn them. They should be super rare loots. Place bonfire on the beach, gather some dudes around it and play guitar and sing a song. Hardest part should be song choise and copyrights about them. But hey its just a dream that i want you to fullfil :) Songs for example Stand by me, i would set the world on fire, etc

Back in May I joined a server with a guy singing songs to each part of the loading process. (Back then it was a nightmare gettting into a game). Just about managed to start Fraps before he loaded in and this is what he sang. :) His name was shAz. You sir have my beans. http://youtu.be/2HRImtkKKaY

As an experiment I decided to leave my mic open and sit in the middle of cherno (I still do it, you may see me in the apartments near the hotel on US124 or PA1) and play my guitar to see what people did. It was interesting. The first person who heard my guitar was pretty enthusiastic about it. He dropped a ghille suit in my bag and moved on. I decided I'd move to the hotel. Over time, someone else heard it and sat with me in the hotel. It was pretty cool, until a bandit came over and shot him and I. I dropped my bag on spawn from then on to avoid being shot while doing this. I went over to the hotel and began playing again. The first person I met walked over and hatcheted me (>-<). From that point on every person who found me would always shoot me, even though I was sitting down, had no bag, and was obviously playing guitar. I recently found someone who didn't shoot. He acknowledged me and we exchanged hellos, and he continued on his way. So that's what people did. They're likely to shoot you, but not everyone does. If they don't, you'll sit with some guys and enjoy the Day(Z) while playing guitar, and it's really cool. If anyone wants to sit with me in Cherno, come to US124 near the hotel and listen for the guitar! :) (I sit in the apartments now, the hotel is a deathwish!)

I was thinking of having a concert in Cherno. I'm a musician/guitarist and would like to lend my talents to entertain the survivors of Chernarus. My plan is to find a nice spot in Cherno, and play over direct comm for whoever wants to hear, or happens to be walking by. I have yet to decide if I should use my Field recorder to play acoustic guitar, or use the line in and play electric. Feel free to leave any solo-guitar tune requests you'd like to hear played next time you're in Cherno.

Obviously this is an absolutely required addition to this game. There needs to be useable, lootable acoustic guitar that goes into the tool slot (along with matches, compass etc) which gives an option to sit down and play guitar. At this point, this shall be heard for all.
