No it must be an actual bug that has happened past couple of days. It was all working fine for me and the people on my server, then about 2-3 days ago the error keeps occuring, I had numerous people ask about it. Although rMod still works on the server for people who have it installed. People who don't have it installed can also join the server and can play as normal but they can't see the rMod vehicles, it is very strange. -
I am definitely in if you'll take another teamate. I've been playing for about 10 months. Good map knowledge and understanding of loot yield and loot spawn. Age: 18 Location: East US skype: superfly541 TS3: xXsuperfly541Xx Marksman: excellent sniper and spotter. Can find ranges quickly & knows many arma tricks for doing so. understands use of mildots for quick body shots Engineering: Good heli pilot (even in poor condition) and most other vehicles. except boats. i f***king hate boats =( Assault team: admittedly poor. I play defensively most often. typically closing in on enemy players results in my death. supply and support: i can do this also hmu on here or skype (tho im not usually on skype, mostly use teamspeak) please send teamspeak info. look forward to joining bro!

Our server allows you to build forts you can load hescos and such into vehicles and transport them around the map. Heres me and a buddy's build took us less than 40 minutes and all items were locked into place so if someone wanted to take down the base it takes them 30 second timer per item to achieve makes for some good clean fun we thought it was a nate idea.

Battlefield 3, FIFA. Mirror's Edge, Assassins Creed. Brink. Games that have tried to portray somewhat realistic human movement. --- What I'm getting at is not everybody would break their legs dropping (different from falling) out of a first story window (just roll)*. And nearly everybody would be able to climb on top of a car or even over a wall that is above head height. Maybe you could go as far to say that the vast majority of able bodied people could climb up to a second story window of a house, or up to the top of a tree, if they had to, to survive. And if I was being chased by zombies. I would NEVER stop in my tracks just to sling something over my shoulder (e.g. a rifle). I would unload both my main weapon and my sidearm at a straight run if I had a snarling, bloody, murderous beast chasing me in the dark. NO! FFS DON'T EVER STOP RUNNING! JUMP THAT FENCE! DIVE! ON ALL FOURS! MOVE! It's really the one thing that put me off ArmA in the first place. You're a soldier, an athlete. Get your drills right, sure, but this is a fucking war zone mate, DOUBLE TIME. Yahtzee also mentioned this in his review. *If you're carrying a very heavy pack on your back, things can change dramatically. This is why packs should be permanent, like tents and vehicles, if you drop them. This is common military practice. Making a quick escape and being free to move unhindered and lightweight is a very deep mechanic.

This is why packs should be permanent, like tents and vehicles, if you drop them. - Should be permanent? All these items can be destroyed or lost therefore not permanent. If you drop them? unsure what is meant. This is common military practice Making a quick escape and being free to move unhindered and lightweight- Untrue as accountability is everything in the military I only ever dropped my load to mount my rifle over the top and steady a shot. Pack=Lifeline patrols without a pack never good idea as you never know what aspects will change and alter your course. You could be out for a day patrol and get pinned in a valley for 3 days under extreme heat leading to heat casualties and such. Overall on the first section I think it would be awesome for more versatile movement..However this is a mod created off Arma-2 and its design doesnt fit that profile.

I would enjoy the game more If we were locked into expert. first person only would be an amazing experience as everyone would be on a level playing field. The reason people use third is because of the advantage you can get with it. My biggest gripe with third person is the fact that someone can see you while being completely hidden and there is nothing you can do about it. Name tags are just horrible in general, you can literally scan your crosshair across the screen looking through cities and find something pop up with a name tag. even worse when it marks that location on the map. you can accidentally find vehicles from ridiculous distances. Character location on the map makes the gps and compass almost useless as vital items. Waypoints are overpowered. They need to be disabled if you do not have a compass and gps. Having a GPS should show character location on map (yours only not enemies "seen") I am all for turning the difficulty up on this game far beyond what is currently available. Sure we will have a large amount of people complaining, but that happens when there is any sort of change made. Let them complain all they want they will eventually start enjoying it and learning new strategies or they will quit and the community will be better for it. The people complaining about getting motion sick. Increase your FOV, turn off post processing (motion blur), reduce head bob, and add a little bit of mouse smoothing. Do those may not eliminate motion sickness but it will reduce it greatly and allow your body to adapt and get used to it. If you still get motion sick maybe it's not the game for you to play for extended periods at a time? EDIT: There would be a few welcomed things that could be added to a first person view. I'd like to see the ability to raise your head in order look over objects slightly. We need some more vertical control between prone, crouch, and standing. The ability to move your head up slightly to see over some grass while prone, or over the edge of a building while your on the roof. Of course doing so would make you visible, just not as visible as say going from prone to crouch is. I'd also like to add that it would be like holding alt, it does not move your gun. key bindings I could see to be something like ALT plus shift/control for raise and lower. or whatever key binding you feel like settings, back/forward mouse buttons if your mouse has those. -

Server still going strong, come join in the fun! We've added in custom buildings so we now have an upgraded Northeast Airfield as well as a neutral, no shooting/stealing trading post. Between that and the addition of new vehicles we've got things rocking. Averaging over 30 players on at high times, there's plenty to do on The Walking Zed! -
I would recommend http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/105894-hatchet-reloaded-new-uk-private-hivev174-6-choppers-60-vehicles-custom-content-vehicles-private-teamspeak-server no hackers, and the one time someone was obviously using a map hack got banned, then global banned, along with his friend and we got gear rolled back. admins are awesome, and after all the hives i've been on there's no ''admin arrogance'' or ''admin abuse'' going on, just some guys trying to keep everything fair. cherno/electro is a safe zone, along with a custom medi centre by the lighthouse @ cap golova with guys who are prepared to give you lifts and real ''medi'' attention (they love it haha)

All the people who complain about being solo... thats a choice. I played solo for a bit and got bored, and joined a clan. I still play solo a bit and with particular individuals I trust. Its much more fun that way. So what needs to be changed? Nothing really, except peoples play styles IF they want to group up or not. Can you survive alone? Yes, but its harder to get healed up (more work to get food etc.). Ive spent long periods of time when I palyed solo hunting or gathering just to get healed up all the way. Also playing alone makes vehicles harder to find and get parts for. Since I grouped with friends, I get more vehicles/rides than I ever did solo. So theres already incentive to group up if you want to, but also the option to play alone if you want to. Making the game unbearably hard will force people to have less options and freedom in the game. The end result is that people will kill more IMO. It will just add more "justification" out of desperation to pop that guy and take his gear. The game is sandbox - and it is what you make it. So make some thing of it instead of trying to change the game into something like seeing how long you can live while standing in a burning inferno. -

Ive had problems with them but they have worked hard to recover lost data, credit me for lost time when my server was down for 8 days, and have been fairly quick in answering tickets. For those bitching about paying for a Fully Managed Server, let me inform you guys that you need to submit a ticket to them to make the desired changes/updates. They fully manage your server when you tell them what you want done, they wont automatically apply updates until told because some people like the older versions. My only real complaint has been their removal of rMod. My server is depedent upon it as we had alot of the banned vehicles and guns that rMod enabled. They took it down when the 1.7.3 update came out, I was told to wait till they updated to Bliss 4.1 that was supposed to be out a week later, yet never came. Now 1.7.4.4 and Bliss 4.2 are out and yet still no option to re-enable rMod and my community is getting a bit antsy. SurvivalServers, please hurry up and enable rMod for those of us who have been patient loyal paying customers as Im not the only one not bitching and still waiting for the rMod to return to my server. -

i joined the server [delta-squad] at around 3:00pm GMT and i spawned in my last aborted place (North West airfield) i have a quick glance into Side Channel & see loads of players begging for someone called 'mrbarbedwire' to teleport them / give them guns & helicopters all of a sudden we are teleported to the middle of an airfield & given a box of guns to massacre each other i sprint to the trees in madness & said ''don't teleport us for f*ck sake'' he does it again & this time nukes, i don't die because i ran but i'm unconscious, when i wake up he does it again & this time i run & sprint shooting the bandits on my way to the treeline so basically, using modded vehicles (he had a bus with a tractor, uaz & gaz melded onto each other o.O) teleporting, god mode & invisible + spawning stuff & he also claims to be the server admin which he ain't because he would have [Delta-Squad] in his name & when you join the server it says a player called Seb owns it... There is already a mod for this minus the zombies, it's called The Wasteland Mod, 3 sides, BluFor, OpFor, Independent, it features base building, plenty of vehicles, team work, objectives, and money to buy guns and other things. IDK about the playing cards, sounds fun, I'd like to see more animations like that dance one, but have some different ones and maybe be able to dance with other players like a tango or a walse, also a simple wave and make the surrender animation so you're able to walk. -
Hey peeps, i have a rather annoying problem, and am not quite sure why it has occurred or how to fix it. I have a huge camp on one public server, with about 5 of each weapon that i have acquired through legitimate ways, and a fair few vehicles. Up until iv had no problems, but now, the server only shows up on Day Z Commander, and not actually in Day Z server filtering, and when i try to launch into it from Day Z Commander, it just stays on 'Wait for Host''. Why has this occurred all of a sudden? Is there some kind of fix? Is the server updating to the latest patch?(it was still 1.7.2.6). It would really really suck if i cant get back into this server, because i was just about to move my camp to a server with active admins, and all the gear iv got has taken me way to long to get :(

Definitely agree with faster offroad speeds for non offroad vehicles but it's up to a player on how they control that because if you rev up and speed off on mud or grass then the wheels should spin and flick muck everywhere so you'd have to take it easy anyways, atleast when starting, and if you turn too sharply on these surfaces you should skid and maybe spin out a bit. Also windscreen wipers, even if they're just aesthetics and come on automatically when it's raining, it'd be a nice touch of detail, maybe when you hit a zombie or player a bit of blood splats on the screen or if the head impacts the windscreen it cracks a bit. I'm sure Rocket has said that the vehicle system is getting a big overhaul, reinforcing would be cool like by adding extra scrap metal and stuff you can reinforce your bus, upgrading it to a battle bus, -

Since the latest update theres been a serious issue with vehicles with full green health unexpectedly exploding with the smallest of impacts. I've spent more time dragging fellow medics out of burning wrecks than healing patients this past week. As Rivy says above, its completely unauthentic that vehicles explode when crashed, even a high speed impact would have very little chance of any kind of explosion, an engine fire maybe. really hope this gets fixed soon. -

I am all for a game world that has items galore that are at first sight useless but can be crafted into useful items that are life saving. empty cans+rags or sand=water filter clean rags+alcohol=bandages thread+needle=suture kits clean rags+peroxide+thread+needle=medkits alcohol+weed=cure for the apocalypse blues Stuff like this can be found all over the place at low spawns so people can actually not have to run down to a hospital for bandages(should only spawn in hospitals then).For the water filter,there are maps with clean looking water and maps that have green disgusting looking water.If the water is clean looking then just a boil will suffice but if it looks very dirty then filtering and boiling would be necessary. The more items the better for immersion IMO. Instead of that huge ass tool box have a tool pouch instead that you find individual tools for spread thruout the lands toolsheds and industrial buildings.Wirecutters to jump vehicles is one example but we all know certain tools for certain jobs is what the real world lives on. -

One more point is the admin's need to run an event. A check box - this makes the server check for vehicles that are 90% or more damaged to be respawned. If this box is not checked, no new vehicles respawns will happen. On my server I leave the box checked. However I have seen private servers that 'hog' all the vehicles they want/need. Then blow up the rest and never check the box, private clans are good for this..... So the clan has all the vehicles they want and new spawns are without wheels. Wrong - Yes Happening - Yes -
Nameplates and Tracers should be removed regardless, even though you don't find many servers with tracers, Nameplates don't really work with DayZ. With name plates you can spot vehicles and players, and know what their distance is, making rangefinders completely useless.
