hi this is my first post here and i would like to highlight some things that i definitely should be added in an update or be included in the standalone, i know some of these suggestions have been made but i would just like to show that i also hold the same view and i would like to add my own spin on it. 1st I realy think that camping stoves should be added into the game due to the fact that it would benefit over the fire due to the fact that you wouldn't have to carry firewood which would take more space up in your inventory. also a stove wouldn't give out nearly as much heat as a fire, giving reason too keep the fires, another being that you wouldn't need matches because it could have its own electronic ignitor.d but a camp stove would be quickly consumed and hence would only be used as perhaps a last ditch alternative to a camp fire or a more stealthy option as it would give out far less light also if my wight idea is implimented then it would be lighter than wood. there are more features to the stove idea on the trangia stove thread. 2nd why isn't there a weight system for inventory as well as a space system. i can see this as being a little hardcore but i think it would make an interesting dynamic for instance you can chose to either carry alot more light bandages that also take up about as much space, say as a can of beans for egsample so you can chose to carry a few more cans of beans due to weight or carry alot of bandages. i dont see how just because a guy has a bigger bag means he can carry vastly more gear whilst not having to worry about the weight of his kit perhaps have a dynamic where if you have a big bag and loads of wight you run slower than someone who has the same sized bag but is carrying realy light kit, eg a camping stove instead of firewood. i think that could make gameplay more interesting. also have lightweight alternatives to almost evrything but make the lighter stuff harder to come by eg dried fruit as apposed to a can of beans. or a sythetic (plastic) ak47 compared with a wooden one. or a plastic handled axe ect the list is endless. also as an addon if a player is carrying loads of weight he would dehydrate faster than having light kit. 3rd im torn on this debate but perhaps a game mode or an option to chose weather you have few running zombies or lots of slow "normal" zombies or even not alot of slow zombies or alot of running zombies, what im trying to say is that it would act as a sort of difficulty system you could have some servers with loads of slow sluggish zombies or a server like it is now with a few fast zombies. you get the idea. 4th why isnt hydration and hunger done in stages? i dont get it i mean i get right to the brink of dehydration, i drink a pepsi and im fine, back to normal. it could easily be done in stages ie there are 10, 20, or 100 "points" whatever some kind of scale for measuring dehydration and starvation whereby one food item would relive more hunger than another food item, making the more reliving food item more scarce. and meaning (if the wieght system is implimented) if you arnt very lucky you would have to carry around many food items as appose to a few (perhaps even heavier but taking up less space) more nutritional food items. and you could be realy in depth and have realy nutritional, light , small, food items but make them far more rare. giving the player even more incentive to scavenge furthur but also taking more risk. this would make the player think more about preparation in the fact they would have to sacrafice carrying lighter less nutritious (or if thier lucky more nutritious) food, so that they could carry that extra wepon ect. (i could ramble for ages) so with the wight mechanic and space dynamic the player has so many more factors to think about which would seperate players from those who think about their gear and what effect it will have on thier speed ect and those who dont. 5th it would be great if you could find clothing or well more accessories that you can equip your player with such as body armor or running shoes that make you run slightly faster or camo which will make you harder to see by zombies except if you are in urban environments ect.. there are many more but i cant list them all 6th also one realy top feature i would like to see is some form of modding weapons and vehicles for instance you could find metal sheets to strengthen your vehichle but at the cost of extra weight or even the opposite, striping off the doors and some of the body panels to reduce wight and hence speed but at the cost of less protection, or even the ability to add mounted guns or spikes ect, again the list goes on. for wepons perhaps you could make your wepons from scratch eg a camp stove some piping and the pistol grip from another wepon could make a formidable flamethrower and the way to get more ammo for it is to find more gas canisters for your gas stove and your flamethrower. (on a side note you could have the actual stove part dedtatchable from the canister so you can ditch an empty canister but keep the stove part so that when you come across an empty canister with no stove top you have a refill) i have many more ideas but here a few of my main ones thanks for reading and please do extend my list or add to some of the feature i have suggested as you feel neccecery thanks. -
New Chernarus Rmod server with multiple custom vehicle spawns, custom loot spawns at heli crash sites, wrecks and care packages. Active admins who don't kick\ban for silly reasons. About 150 vehicles including 10-12 Helicopters. Vehicles not used in 5 days are deleted and respwned at random spawn locations. Lots of guns added, but none are overpowering. Trying to keep the DayZ feel by adding additional weapons, but nothing thats overpowering. The AS50's were removed as well as the thermal weapons. No overpowering vehicles like jets or tanks. I know this Arma engine cant even think of this without exploding but how great would it be if the driving was like that in Spin Tires. For those of you who don't know, Spin Tires is and offroad simulation being made into a game that is currently a free tech demo, When driving on dirt roads and things like grass your vehicle can get bogged down and stuck. How great would this be in DayZ as it would mean vehicles would want to stick to roads more and risk being attacked or go offroading and risk getting stuck. Maybe they could implent outside technology like they are doing with Take on Helicopters

probably the biggest reason they are not in is because they are custom made vehicles. Made by players not developers.

I agree with making flying more difficult, but as an experienced virtual pilot, and having flown in real aircraft from the cockpit, I would like to add the reasoning of allowing for anyone to fly a helicopter. I am not saying that it shouldn't be harder to fly air vehicles, in fact I believe that auto hover should be removed! What is your goal in DayZ? My main goal when I am playing is to find a helicopter, and fly it. If only experienced pilots that practice for hours a day to perfect their flying skills were the only ones that were able to fly the air craft, then why would others look for them? Although this would be a short term patch for banditing, soon people would KOS more, because they cannot fly a helicopter, so they aren't looking for them. Once a team has got 1-3 pilots, they don't need anymore, and will return to killing again. In conclusion: Although I want flying to become harder, I still want EVERYONE to have access to it. The better the pilot, the easier it will be for his gunners to kill enemies, and their friends will be reassured when stepping into his helicopter. -

Great server, helpful admins & owner. Feel it could do with a few less choppers & vehicles as it's just too easy and it takes the fun away from finding/making camps etc Otherwise very fun and good competition with the admin clan ;) And perhaps, in time, once you have a good core of regular players a whitelist could be introduced to avoid those annoying script kiddies. I am looking for a buddy. I am 21, US (New York). ETC timezone. I play all the time, basically whatever fits around my schedule, which varies wildly. I am usually always available between 10 PM and 2AM. I guess you could say I am new to DayZ but I am not a noob. I know how to shoot, navigate, find weapons, find vehicles, repair vehicles, and do just about anything you might need me to do. I do have a mic and a very good one at that. to summarize.. servers will always spawn new vehicles if there aren't enough. crowded ones will remove random unclaimed ones that were brought by a player originally as long as you own a vehicle on the hive you wont lose it and you can only own 1.

each player only has 1 tho and servers that have had vehicles transferred from can spawn more. servers with too many remove unclaimed ones so a most there will be more vehicles on a server if their are more players there(1 extra per player) unclaimed ones being removed

I think that this would overload some servers and leave others without vehicles. I feel that this could be used as a way to mule gear. Not really a fan of this. -

I want to host a server, but I am torn between DayZ.ST: http://www.dayz.st/main HFB: http://hfbservers.com/ And Vilayer: http://www.vilayer.com/ Basically, Vilayer has 50% off right now, but I don't know if its lifetime as of I pay 20EU a month for ever, or just the first payment. Also, I am going to edit car and helli spawns all over the map, the number of vehicles, I am probably gonna add some buildings.. Is that possible on all the three that are mentioned above? Thank you, please answer ASAP as I don't wanna lose the Vilayer promo before it ends.. THANKS!

We don't have much information on new loot or vehicles but if they decide that the additions to the mod are sufficiently balanced they may take some of the already implemented weapons from there to the SA, but apart from that all we've heard is Rocket's goal of wanting to add more low-tier and melee weapons into the game. As for more cities Rocket has said that they had a guy working on new areas since November. (?) There may not be more big buildings but what there will be are more enterable buildings, which means that previous 'big buildings' that were not enterable before may be now. We haven't heard anything about expanding the area, although it's quite possible due the addition of new areas on the map, and the goal to up the player count.

Havent played this game for 4 months. Played earlier today with all my old gear. Found a jeep with a IR-MARK STROBE or something that I picked up because I thought it maybe was a new thing in the game. After that I found alot of vehicles I did not recognize and thought this must be hacked stuff and I dropped the IR-MARKER after I searched for it on the forum and here was nothing about it. Now I joined a server that said somehting DAYZAustria(KLL) 200vechicle+survivor startinggear or something. Now I started fresh on the beach day 0 with no gear. Immidietly I dosconnected and tried another server but still day 0 and all my stuff is gone.... Why did my stuff dissapear? Because I picked up a potential hacked item or was it that server named 200vehicle+survivor startergear that did something to me? Thought this buggy shit with stuff dissapereng would have been corrected now after such a long time...

Hey all! Me and my friends want to open a server. Before we do it, I just wanted to know what abilitys the server owner has and what abilitys the admins have. Because we have some admin friends, we know that you can place spawn points for vehicles. But what about buildings? Because I've been in servers with extra barracks, but I never know if its stock like that or the owner/admin changes it. What other stuff can admins and owners do? Thanks! Happy new ywar

I think from what I get from the community that Dayz.st is the most flexible as far as editing the maps. pretty easy to add vehicles, there is a map tool that comes when you rent the server from them, just add spawn points for the vehicles, buildings seem to be trickier, but its there. -

I think lots of different aircraft could crash, then if you have either a map, GPS or Radio (they'd need to put this in), there is a random chance of learning roughly where it is. In addition to this, say 5 vehicles have crashed, 2 have distress signals and may appear on a map or whatever so the clans can fight over them but the majority, 3 in this case, should not have a distress signal and should just be found naturally. I think that is the best of both worlds. It gives players who suck at finding crash sites a chance to find them, albeit with a high risk of encountering other players, while at the same time leaving things to be discovered. Also, having the crash sites appear randomly after server restart, rather than immediately is a brilliant idea and kudos to whoever mentioned it before. Edit: Thinking about this, if you have a map there is a small chance it will be indicated by a 'splodge' giving a very rough idea of where it is, if you have a GPS it would be a smaller area of 2 or 3 grid squares and if you have a radio a single grid is given, which gives a more precise location, of course the radio would be rare and you would only get the message a couple times, meaning you would have to remember it or write it down. This gives a random treat to 3 of the players on the server (there could be 50+) and it would make a fresh spawn think twice about what direction he was going to take if his new map gave him this info. Of course this would leave 3 or 4 crash sites as random finds, but imagine the excitement of a map/GPS icon blinking or radio suddenly going off, then you go alone, or with a buddy and get some good medical loot, weapons or perhaps even rarer items that they could implement. Is this fair? No, it isn't but DayZ isn't fair and that is what makes it so interesting. Is it fair that on WoW you could defeat a boss and never get the loot you wanted? No, but millions play that.

battleeye random kicks just took one of the last 3 hueys, one plane, one mi17 and one littlebird within one hour dont know what happened to the others. and dan crashed one huey rather than handing it out another huey is gone. stolen after the restart or tehre is a vehicle reset/ or no vehicles spawned
