Okay I just spoke to AlexSpain (I wish I had talked to him a long time ago) and everything has been cleared up. His English isn't very good so people were misinterpreting what he was saying - apparently he just wants hosting companies to offer Taviana as an OPTION rather than being locked into Taviana after you purchase the server (basically because that would directly be profiting from Taviana rather than hosting servers). This is a confusing limitation but I understand it somewhat. He also showed me a repository where they are actively developing a bliss branch that supports dayzland.eu's version of Taviana. We will be maintaining our own branch of bliss using changes from bliss mainline and dayzland.eu's version, so both versions will continue to be supported in the future. He's actually upset that we are hosting dayztaviana.com's version, not his. As for which version to use, do whatever makes you happy: dayzland.eu has different skins and support for more custom vehicles (the gunboat PBX and a couple aircraft have removed radar like they should in DayZ) and is based off of dayz 1.7.3 (mostly), it also has its own humanity system that functions properly and has the debug monitor in the top right with stats still. dayztaviana.com has a clear development plan and seems to be more in tune with people requesting changes and is keeping closer in line with the base DayZ mod. You could say dayzland.eu is like the fun version and dayztaviana.com is the serious competitive version? I guess?

After spawning in I quickly make a group with several other people. We then find some vehicles and start heading north. Halfway there I hear a chopper overhead so we stop the vehicles in some bushes hoping that we weren't seen. All of the sudden a bomb goes off and well die. I respawn in Bolata and then the chopper shows up and kills me again this time however I see the pilots name, OhLookAPanda. I respawn this time near the lighthouse between Kamenka and Komravo about this time a debug monitor thing pops up on my screen, knowing that this is clearly some hack I start up Fraps and entice the guy into killing me. As he shows up I jump off the lighthouse and go unconscious he then give me morphine and spawns in an attack heli. Lag would make it annoying whatever way they handle it (in ArmA 2, vehicles are local to the driver; try hitting a fast moving, teleporting vehicle with an RPG). Next patch will have icons like these - great improvement, right? source

exactly, especially if you are alone in a forest or with zombies spawned for you, the only valuable reference point are other players and vehicles..

I have set 24 hour restart,it is that the problem or maybe my instance id is over 8000

I don't know much about the settings on servers but from what I have read and heard, server restarts reset vehicles that have been blown up and destroyed. Vehicles that have been found and and are in use only reset if they are not accessed in a certain number of days, usually 7 but that is a server option I believe.

Vehicles didn't spawn yet do i have to wait 1 week or what? Is it ok every 24 hours to restart the server?(maybe that's the problem)

Nah, I don't see much fun trying to play with the local clans and teams who only reason for playing is to control resources like vehicles and bandits who's only aim is to ruin everyone else's fun, all on a set server! I don't want to be locked to a server when later on rocket releases control and allows private hives all over again, each with their own preferences and benefits! The community will make more steps than rocket does, like it does now, and offer more to the players / community. That plus my rebellious streak which does not like being told what to do and where to play

This server is awesome! So many more vehicles and so many more areas and buildings to explore!

Hello Female gamers, My Friends and I are looking to expand our group. Instead of just us Guys we want to invite you Ladies from here to join us in our experiances. Currently there is 8 of us and our age ranges from 17+. The reason why we want some girls gamers is because we want to have more epic experiances in Dayz and well there is just to many guys. Its fun having girls around and it wouldnt be as weird as it is now. We play almost everyday and we've been playing Dayz For Quite awhile now. If you are new to the game that doesnt bother us at all we will teach you the ways of Surviving. Logan and Kipp Both 19 years old are kinda like the leaders of the group. They both like to snipe and they only hunt Bandits. They try to help unarmed people who died of horrible causes. You will mostly be playing with them. In our camp we currently have enough supplies to add come more people to be with us. We have 4 Vehicles at the moment and are looking for more. We only trust our team memembers so if you run on someone who says friendly, well keep in mind if you die its your fault. Please if you want to Join us dont just randomly leave. We plan to start a youtube series and we need all the members we can get. The team has both a Ventrilo Server and A Mumble server but to get in contact with us you must ADD Kipp and Logan on Skype. [uPDATED] * Applied a change from the upcoming DayZ patch which increases the amount of Zeds spawned dependant on the area that you are in. Hi everyone! The owner of Zomboys - UK000 has decided to open a new server for the Taviana map. Horrible trade... If someone wanted a helicopter from me, it would have to be at least a couple ground vehicles completely full of rare weapons like as50s. I can find at least an as50 a day if I try, but I rarely come across a heli.

There had better be ships in the harbour, wild animals which hunt you. I want all old towns twice as big on the 4 times bigger map, I want to get lost because I only have half a map! The train was a godsend, no more running 2 hours from the coast. I never liked the dog concept and I was proven right, they just won't stop and keep being run over by trains and cars an eaten by zombies. The zombies are truly terrifying, no longer can you run around without fear, they chase and will not let you go till you kill them or they are dead! the children ones are horrific, like chavs with a bottle of cider! I'm still waking in cold sweats, therapy will not help. The 1/1,000,000 chance to turn into a zombie I haven't experienced yet, but my mate Dave has and he said it was great having the boot on the other foot! The medical system Is gory as hell, being able to see and manipulate entrails adds realism. I've caught clamidyia from goats, herpes from fish and the medication for these are nigh on impossible to find. Hunting has been revamped with new tools and the fabled fishing rod, me and friends get together and chill out together by the dam just socialising. The traps for bear and wolves are great, my bear coat keeps me warm when I go to the Namalsk mountains north or Electro More new vehicles I can repair by taking parts of all others, the ambulance will be my home when away from my mobile motor home. At least tey are more reliable than the mod paper vehicles. The jet skis are great for hoping the southern islands though the pirates are merciless. The 5 mile tunnel under the mountains is like the Metro game tunnels, I haven't foun my dog yet! Pirates, bandits, fascist police, extortionate medics, homocidal nurses, thieves, hunters, mad scientists are the tip of the iceberg (north of NAF) I prefer the armed Taxi service, at least they help survivors.

I do play normal servers, and I've spent hours gearing up and repairing vehicles and stashing them in the woods and all that, but sometimes I just want to get onto a server and fanny around... Which is where things like this come in to play... It's definitely not to everyones taste, but it's definitely a good laugh!

must be a beast of a server to support that many vehicles on at any time.. must say i have no interest in playing on such a server thou.. its kinda the same thing as a server that spawns you with full gear already.. whats the point ??

this has been suggested and discussed over many diffrent topics and posts. However its not done :D Lets discuss it then, Heavy characters should have some degree of negative effects like------ -more noise when running and walking -running slower -running out of stamina faster -eating and drinking more -Using more time to enter vehicles Lighter charactes would have the exact opposite stats. results of this would be, people gave second thoughs of carrying coyote backpacks and machine guns, heavy snipers etca. if bulletproof vests were implemented this is defenitly a piece of clothing that gives your character more thirst and maybe less movement, dependant on the clothing.

Something wired is up with vehicles disapering after restarts atm. We've lost 4 cars and two choppers now in two days, and sure people can find stuff, but all four that spread out on the map. never happend before... :)

Vethos updated spawn technology: US1: 129 vehicles (including 43 bicycles) EU1: 130 vehicles (41 of which bicycles) EU2: 120 vehicles (of which 37 bikes) This shows the maximum value engineering course will be 2 times less, but 13 bikes will spavnyatsya guaranteed. Respawn point equipment increased from 92 to 504. If during the time of the session broken equipment is not found or does not interact with it, then after a restart, it will be destroyed. We have added more vehicle spawns + some additional vehicles to the server this week.

Update* As a launch to my new server i am making the custom load out a little more fun to get more people to join. Every week i will change the load out until we find one that suits the server. This week it consists of:Coyote backpack | M4A1 AIM SD CAMO | Glock | and plenty of food and water! Still plenty of vehicles and other stuff come check it out!
