Played on this server for a few hours tonight. No issues with hackers, scripters. Good number of vehicles. Enough that you can find 1 or 2 if you look. Overall, a good experience. Love the starting loadout!

Real Name: Kaleb Skype Name: Kaleb Goodrich In Game Name: Django Role (First Choice): Spotter - I play with a couple friends and every time we run around together I am almost always the first person to spot other players or vehicles and I imagine that if it was my main priority I could do it even better. Role (Second Choice): Scout - I am pretty good at sneaking around but I don't mind being the first to run into a loot area. If I come under fire I am also good at dodging bullets if I haven't already been hit by the first shot and I recover well and can trade fire with other players at a close to mid range with most guns effectively. Play style: I am extremely cautious and have lived for a very, very long time on all the servers that I play on but that is because I am almost always alone or with 1-2 other people at a time. I almost always kill other survivors on sight unless the other player appears to be new to the game or is not a threat to me. I am pretty laid back and don't throw a hissy fit if I do happen to die which hasn't happened for a while. Are you geared on any servers?: I play on a few servers and have really good gear along with a camp stocked full of supplies. I don't mind switching servers though and can get geared quickly anywhere especially with a group around me. Age: 23 Why you want to join SOAM: I have been playing DayZ for quite some time now and for the last couple weeks I have though about starting a group as a leader but I don't mind being a member of a group that is already formed and already has leadership. I am looking for a group that has close knit set of friends so that I know its going to last and I would also like to foster in some of my own friends to dominate a server together. How long have you been playing: I have been playing DayZ for a little over 3 months pretty heavily. Describe yourself: I don't really understand how broad or vague you want my response to be... G'Day Crew, Probably not a very polite question as such, sorry. I am looking for a host/server provider with managed server(s), but has easy to use admin interface. The interface that DayZ.st has is awesome, but had a lot of lag issues etc. Another provider has a great connection (HFB) but I am REALLY struggling with changing server settings. It is a whole new language to me and frankly I have absolutely no idea what I am doing. I am trying to read as much as possible, forums, FAQS, Google etc, but it is if I am trying to read the language of a different planet. I dont know how you do it. I want to be able to place and spawn vehicles via a map. (dayZ.st) I want to be able to modify player loadout. (dayZ.st) I want to be able to whitelist easily (HFB) I want to be able to clear tents and vehicles easily (HFB) I want to be able to modify the server time, such as ALL day and restart times, every 4 hours (dayZ.st) I have DayZ package plus, but I dont want to keep annoying HFB support everytime I want to change something. I was looking at using DayZ Server Control, but it just does not work for me and my provider HFB???? A lot of "I"' s I know, sorry. I hate giving up, but am close to giving this hosting admin idea away. Cheers.

so i am trying to add all the vehicles in my LAN world on chern just so i can have fun, but almost all the vehicles i try get this error "invalid vehicle" and then exits me out, can anyone help me, i am only trying to add one of every vehicle

Hey guys thinking of some cool roles to play as in DayZ. If you have any ideas for new ones feel free to add on! ASSAULTER - Carries heavy weaponry such as M16s or LMGs. This player leads the team in combat and must have above average PVP skills. MEDIC - A medic carries most of the medical supplies, food, and drinks. They will stay a bit behind the team with an average weapon such as an M1014 or AK. SCOUT - A scout is a lightly armed player who is the first to move in on a looting run. They will inform the squad of valuable gear, zombies, and players. This is a hard position because you could be the first to die but you will be greatly respected. ENGINEER - This player is the medic of vehicles. They are in charge of carrying things such as Jerry Cans, Wheels, Rotor assemblies etc. They will carry average weaponry but will have the largest backpacks. SPOTTER - This player will carry heavy weaponry and will guard and spot for the sniper. They will stay back with the sniper spotting zombies/players for the squad. They will also be the first to receive a map, binoculars, and a rangefinder. This position is also a navigator for the team. SNIPER - This is a pretty obvious role... This player will be the first to receive camouflage clothing and any rifles. This player will carry advanced weaponry such as M14s, DMRs, and M107. You must have precise aim and have no lag. The sniper will stay back with the spotter eliminating threats.

Out of Dallas We frown on combat loggers, if you witness someone doing it then tell one of the admins and they will issue out a warning. Multiple offenses from the same person lead to kicks (24-48 hour suspension) and ultimately up to a permanent ban. Just mention something in side chat and more than likely you'll get the attention of an admin unless its at like 2 in the morning or something like that. If you can't get an admin then remember the persons name and just let us know when you can reach us. We'll give him a verbal warning at that point and then continue from there if the occurrence happens again. Also there are more barracks added to each of the airfields since the oil rigs seem to not want to spawn military loot and we've added more flying vehicles (MV-22 Osprey's). We might add more or replace other air vehicles with better ones, I hope to replace some Hueys with Venoms if 2.0 allows them and if the admin will actually do it, haha. Come join everyone.

1: evoxtom is right. You were probably playing a private hive on one server or another. I know that DayZ commander doesn't reliably display the private hive icon next to PH servers so you may have not even known that you were playing PH. 2: Since when do guns jam in DayZ? I know that someone wrote a gun jamming mod for ACE for Arma II, but not DayZ. 3: Spawn protection? I didn't think there was any such thing on official hive servers. More evidence to suggest you were playing on PH here. 4: You gave a gun to a random and turned your back on him? You must be new here ;] 5: Last, but not least, a word of advice: Learn to love the losses as much as the finds. Loss is an integral part of DayZ. It's always "easy come, easy go." If you find really great gear, don't get too attached to it because you can lose it all at any moment. This is good, though, because if you got to keep all the gear you found, the game would get boring. I played on a server for over a month that had been abandoned by an active clan. In their absence, random players would come and go, but I kept playing the same server. I acquired dozens of guns, multiple tents, several vehicles, and experienced virtually zero losses (never died, only had one vehicle stolen, no one found my tents). Guess what? IT WAS BORING AS HELL. The most interesting part was when I killed 3 players out of the sheer luck of being in the right place at the right time. When you lose gear in DayZ, it should ignite a fire within you to go out and replace it, to take risks for the possibility that the heli crash site down the hill *might* have another ghillie suit in it to replace the one you lost when you died, EVEN if it was due to a glitch. That is far more exciting than hoarding gear for its own sake. For that reason, I have to disagree with you about wishing there were more "white hat" hackers. Learn to love the loss, because that is what drives you to experience the most visceral aspect of the game: that of fighting for the spoils, only to find yourself questioning whether it was worth it. When you murder a half dozen other survivors and all you find is an AKM with no ammo and a bunch of empty cans, you'll understand what I mean.

Dude seriously tell rocket i want the same love to ground vehicles, when you enter a car i wanna see myself climb(like in toh) in :( keys/gears etc

In the almost year I've been playing DayZ, I have only experienced hackers twice, 3 times at most and only 1 of those times they killed everyone on the server, the other gave everyone a debug menu and the other just kept spawning vehicles in Elektro. But yes, what everyone else has said, join a private hive.

Maybe I just took too long then, I did run there and it must have taken at least 45 min. I didn't think about that. There were no flies when I got there so the body was completely gone. But since the server was empty except for me there wasn't much I could do about it. I did find a few broken vehicles on the way but I figured the time it would take me to fix them could be spent running. Oh well, bye bye ghillie suite :)

H4YW1R3 many good ideas 1)night is too dark but sometimes otside at night with cloud in real life it is very dark and with clear sky with full moon it is bright so we will se what Rocket team will make in stand alone 2)wepons in Chernarus more weapons of Soviet and post-Soviet countries and mabye http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_Ground_Forces in the list of small arms something like these wepons for military buildings + civilian weapons + illegally held weapons (organised crime) + rich people illegally held weapons + police type weapons + traveling survivals dont forget all of this 3)zombies implement chance of hordes more zombies in cities and towns and fallen survival camps but new way to make zombies attack other zombies example: -using crossbow/bow and some special arrow/bolt (with cooked meat or something) -zombies 15 or 25 meters around target will go eat sometime fight for food -safer way for player but dont make it to dificult becaus i like this game and im not hardcore gamer and dont think im some total bambi 4)more vehicles and last thing do something with map lets wait for DayZ game (standalone) so we will see what they done

I'd hope that private hives make a come back some point in the future, for anybody that doesn't have a ready made community behind them, trying to build a player base is going to be difficult for fledgling hosts when they don't have the flexibility to tailor the game for their players. Currently there is a lot of room to try and find a niche, I know some people will say it's just led to a proliferation of "400 VEHICLES!!!! 20 CHOPPERS!!! DEER STANDS THAT FART OUT AS50's!!!" type servers but these things are always cyclic, if it starts getting top heavy with "extra stuff" servers then maybe you can pick up players by running a more vanilla server. Currently 35% of servers are tumbleweed territory, when there is little difference between server A and server B it's only going to drive players to the busier servers (barring the odd drive by player raiding the NWAF on a low pop one). This isn't a complaint, i'm dying to see the SA and I'll be switching my server to SA as soon as possible but trying to get a regular base of players is going to be an even more uphill struggle.

The duplicates of vehicles is a bug related to HFBservers, I've got a ticket in with them. The vehicles only duplicate on spawn, not at random. Considering you're saying your gear was duplicated, this is just not the case for your vehicle was already spawned in, saved and driven thus it won't duplicate. Again, it only duplicates when the vehicle is freshly spawned in. So since you're lying so blatantly, the ban stands.

yea the one with 500 vehicles was a private hive but it still had that fully loadout thing. Playing with my uncle is alot of fun. i'd rather run with a more mature guy that a little kid screaming in the mic and are not serious at all or whatever. I find it alot more fun playing with people that are over the age of 18 most because myself are a really mature person. :)

So i'm playing with my Uncle alot and we just jump from server to server. trying to find a good and fun one but it never happens. Today we joined a pretty good server it had like 350-400 vehicles and 50-60 helis. but the problem is there was no Night time we started fully loaded and we meet a hacker as soon we started our game. I've been searching on DayZ commander but really haven't found any. So can you guys maybe find or have a server that got what me and my uncle wants ??. the reqs are following. A pretty good amount of vehicles and helis'n' planes. Vehicles (350-400) planes 5-10-15 - helis 40-60 Night and day cycle.. Chanerus map wether it's modded or not. just no Rmod. ALOT OF PLAYERS :D. It's boring never seeing a soul on dayz so i'd say about 35-70 players -100 would be really good tho :D. we love action. No custom loadout. we wan't a flashlight nothing else. maybe a compas and a watch is ok. but nothing more. -------- I think that is pretty much it. i hope you guys can provide some good servers :) =Sincerely= Tereith

Camouflage face paint is used by troops in the Armed Forces to camouflage the skin. Exposed skin reflects light and may draw the opposing forces' attention. i was thinking this would work great as a tool item slot and with your hunting knife and matches ect. you could right click this and apply to face , where by the face would change to have camo on it ? Military camouflage refers to any method used to render military forces less detectable to enemy forces. In practice, it is the application of colour and materials to military equipment of all kinds, including vehicles, ships, aircraft, gun positions and battledres, to conceal it from visual observation, or to make it appear as something else i thought this would be great for cars. it would work alonge the lines of refueling the car. You would have the net on you the scoll over the car and then the option would say camouflage vehicle. just some ideas cheers AP

Then how do you explain duplicates of vehicles and choppers. We had 2 coyote backpacks in our cars and the car was full when it duped, ofcourse were going to leave it behind. It feels so bad that we got banned for something we really didnt do. As hacker I wouldnt even put my effort into trying to join back, but then again you can unban for a reason like that. If we wont get unbanned, we will just have to join a different server. I hope you'll find the problem in the future, even if you dont believe me. Thanks again, Tehsneak

I said second wave lol... didn't see a direct response to my first post (in fairness I also didn't read every post, I'm pretty tied up on the weekends with keeping hackers at bay on the public server)... I'm super meticulous, and will literally spend 8hrs a day getting in and out of vehicles if that's what you need tested... just saying... This is a pretty brief window I have to offer up my services... it seems like it's meant to be lol. Lost my job in the middle of getting obsessed with the game (not related)... I worked in a very high stress high demand atmosphere where screw ups are not tolerated. I have a great work ethic and am incredibly passionate about this game. Even after the SA release, or right now with the Mod, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to contribute to the DayZ team in ANY way I can (well no man love but almost anyway). Actually I'm more dedicated to the Mod since I know and love it, if there is anything I can do please let me know.
