Well, I heard they'll add some towns and some small areas, and a small island, utes I think, correct me if I'm wrong. That's cool I guess, but it's just small additions. I guess the pace of looting will change from popular areas(dayz mod) to vehicles and enterable buildings. But do you really think that is a big improvement? Lingor has almost every single house enterable. And yes it was interesting, but it didn't really make a radical impression on me. I already know Chernarus by heart. I've been playing Taviana lately, before that Lingor, and before that Namalsk and to tell you the truth I don't feel any nostalgia towards Chernarus. I had good times on that map, but the map itself is very bland. It does have a very "the walking dead" tone to it, but I burned through that a while ago. Also, I'm kinda puzzled by why didn't Rocket use Arma 3's engine, which is a HUGE improvement from the clunkiness of Arma 2's. I mean, some guys already ported-in Chernarus to A3 in less than 24 hours of Alpha release. That would've been a huge leap forward in terms of movements, animations etc. I'm a bit iffy on this one. Sorry.

The Laughing Man Prive Hive Admin Hacking Video

**Update- Head of Ins still admin name changed to Dat Other Guy as of now. Posts were deleted I was removed from DOC and been told by the DOC leader and second in command of TLM servers I'm getting banned from the server (hasn't happened yet) although other people were sharing the links in teamspeak and got banned. I spoke with the server owner some but has been unhelpful as I was just told to stop telling people as I'm hurting the servers no ownership that maybe in fact the idiot admin is hurting the servers. Keep in mind this guy takes lots of donations (thousands of dollars) from players that get crapped on by this guy I think people have a right to know** I hate to be the one to do this but it has to be done. I have been a long time player of the The Laughing Man's private hive servers it's no secret he has the number one private hive. He has one admin though a officer in the clan I'm in [DOC] Head of Ins. This person is the textbook bad admin I've known it from day one. He would run around and discreetly use his admin map to find tents and what not. Hard to get solid evidence but reprehensible none the less. The Laughing Man has apparently given admins now a full menu just recently complete with weapons crates, TP, ESP, god mode, invisible and more. Head of Ins started to abuse that today I discreetly frapsed the whole thing playing along. I did play along with him most of the day not taking gear myself but trying to get it all documented. Our entire clan had huey's and end game gear before long. Beyond what is seen in this video we have him using banned weapons AS50 thermal to shoot at players after he would TP to them with god mode on. Some of these player combat logged they got banned as a result. How shitty is that shoot at them with a illegal weapon after TP to them and having god mode on and then ban them for logging. Further using all of these cheats in combat with regular players. Not to mention 7 or 8 folks from the clan that he was supplying with this gear. I realize this is a private hive and it's there business but it's very popular and needs attention in case it gets deleted on their forums. Here's the youtube channel I'm still uploading stuff. Video 1 - Head of Ins Teleports me to his location where he is gearing up regular clan members like myself Video 2 - Possibly the most incriminating listen to his words. Shows crate spawning clan members gearing up him making himself invisible and then warning everyone they better keep their mouth shut. Notice at 1:30 when he says to me after I said I'm not taking anything "just take it quit being a little higher road bitch jesus christ every fucking time" that's because everytime he cheats I call him out. This blows his one time argument. Video 3 - The spawning of vehicles most importantly two hueys that were later used for combat against the general server population More videos of head of ins Courtesy of djbrombizzle former doc clan member Repairing a russian chopper that was a spawn that needed repairs, you can hear INS yelling at me to get out of the way and when I question why he flips out! This is obviously him repairing the chopper real quick. Here is a second video: This is that same chopper that he repaired using his admin menu...What happened here is that he teleported the wrong person to us while in the chopper. This resulted in a very quick and painful death for us all. But who cares when you can get a officer of your clan, who is also a admin, to TP us back to our bodies? This is exactly what he did and is shown clearly in this video. Also he is still actively trying to cover up his actions by telling everyone in the teamspeak channel to once again be quiet....- 134 replies

Hi guys...Purchase a server 1 month ago.2 Days waiting for install and I could not play in my server because i cant' install mod.Ticket to them but they reply only the next 24 hour with"ok I install for you"...Next week no mod installed in my server.Other ticket (waited 2 days:D)Oh yeah i can play in my server.i put vehicles in the map but vehicles don't spawned.I have play only 1 day in my server and i payied 40 usd!!Now i buy a server from dayz.st!!!It's AWESOME!!I recommend it.Bye guys SORRY FOR MY bad ENGLISH GUYS :D -

Well, not too many people play Fallujah sadly I would love to go on there and have some fun like back when it was a fresh release. Anyways, you can find most of the air vehicles at the Airfield and depending on the server there may be some scattered around the map.

Will R-Mod reset custom spawned items in game?

I have a quick question regarding turining on the R-Mod settings on my Day-ZST server controls. So, I am runing a server with a couple friends, so we kinda have to share control. I was curious to see all the R-Mod vehicls, so I want to turn the R-Mod server controls on. My question for the experts is; If I did that? Would the change over disturb any of the vehicles my friends have parked on the map, the custom structures they put up, or the loot all the players have acumulated? Basically what I want to know is, will that set the map back to default settings? Thanks! -

hi guys ive just started to rent a dayz.st server, for some reason the main writing/info/name of servers you see on lets say "dayz commander" is still in grey writing and not lit up and white like a running server. why is this? as it is playable still. also i changed the map from taviana to takistan (only breifly as its now ruined by airport spawn) then back to taviana, and noticed there is less vehicles and they're also spawnin out in the sea :\ im not used to or confident with editing the database yet but wanted to know if there is an easy way to sort this and also add more vehicles as i am new to renting a server. thanks alot, matt :)

Let me clear this up: 1. You need to open the backpack by clicking it in gear, and selecting to open it, Then you can put stuff in. The 12 slots are your inventory. 2. Yes, use the method above. A primary is 10 slots, a secondary is 5 3. a. Anywhere you want, but I'd recommend some safe place in a forest. b. it's open to anyone, but only you can pack it on your current life c. yes! d. yes, but be sure to empty it first e. Vehicles can't be put in tents4. You must find a GPS first. It's rare military loot. 5.It should stay, but it might glitch and break, or just respawn. It should be there for seven days if you don't touch it. Be sure to hide it so other players don't steal it! Your tents and vehicles are only found on the server you had them on.

Our latest Developers blog is now live yay We’ve gone for a reasonably quick and dirty video blog this week, mainly because things have been very busy for us. Inventory System One of the biggest improvement areas has been the inventory system, now almost ready for a public display. This new inventory system supports crafting, interchangeable clothing, degradation, tracking, weapon customization, and much more. It’s really a revolutionary system for us and we’re extremely proud of the results that Jirka (our programmer assigned to this) has achieved. Crafting Not touched on in the video, but what we will be showing soon is the basics of how users can interact with items in the world - this is the next step in development of our inventory system beyond where it is now. This is not a traditional crafting system, but one that encourages layers to explore the ways in which items can be crafted. Zombie pathfinding In the video, towards the end, some before and after footage of work on the zombie AI pathfinding. Not only has this changed the role, threat, and speed of the zombies - but it has also yielded performance improvements. The increased accuracy of the zombies movement allows their movement to be slowed down to more sensible values, in line with those of the players themselves. We still have some other avenues to explore in this regard, but we’re very pleased with the results so far. Mass zombie spawning server side Now all zombies are spawned directly on the server and their movement is governed directly on the server itself. This has allowed us to provide increased security and hack prevention mechanisms by disabling functionality at the client level. It also means that zombies no longer “pop” in and out of the world, previously used as a mechanism to tell if someone was in the area. It also paves the way for us to allow migrating zombies and zombies traversing open areas in search for their next meal. We still have some way to go in performance, the initial tests of 4000 zombies spawned reduced the server FPS to 4. After performance optimizations this increased up to 21. We’re now confident we can have the server FPS back up to 30+ with maximum numbers of zombies in the near future. Expanding health system Health is extending far beyond just blood, into a system that incorporates health, blood, and consciousness level. How these are all interrelating will be touched on in its own devblog in future. Some of the exciting developments coming include longterm play effects such as poor diet affecting your long term health levels. All this translates into the importance of a longterm plan for survival of your character, and we’re sure the role of medical specialists will become very important - hopefully emphasizing social interaction opportunities. Chernarus Expansion This continues at a huge pace. The two new villages in expand Cherno and provide it a true city feeling. Also expanding is the top (north) map area and the continued development of our large-scale features being added to the map. More to follow on this! (we can’t wait to show some more of this!) Loot spawning Finding loot now involves scavenging inside of vehicles, looking for items stuck between furniture, prying open car boots, or strewn in the wasteland itself. Consuming your bounty now results in rubbish, such as empty cans after consuming your beans. This is no mere gimick, because your trash can be used to track you. Conclusion There is a great deal more that can be covered, but we’re really deeply in the thick of development at the moment and we just wanted to get something quick and dirty to all those waiting for standalone. We know that you want it released, and we know you want to know when this will be - but we’re 100% committed to making this a great game, and that means we are making sure to do things properly. We’re happy and confident about the progress, so it’s one foot after another and soon we’ll be at the finish line.

shutting down and moved back to server 1. Server 1 capped at 60 players to stop the previous lag. Server 2 is still up so you can move stuff over from any tents/vehicles, (same character data). Sorry for the hassle! -

Hi! I have a very simple question, coming from a person who really doesn't get along with computers. I've been trying for three days now to figure out how to add building to my Lingor Server. Its a Dayz.st. which uses bliss. I have followed both of these instructions (below) to the "T", but the buildings will just not appear in-game. Everything I have done checks out. But nothing in game changes. "DayZ Custom Buildings Tutorial | DayZ.ST" <---youtube video by zzblurgames And these instructions which I found on another forum: To add your custom buildings etc... to a Dayz.ST server do the following. 1. Open Arma2 2. When you reach the menu hit "ALT E" to bring up the 3D Editor. 3. Select Your Map (Chernerus) 4. Map will loadup... NEXT Steps......... 1. Click on CENTER (right side) 2. Now double click anywhere on map and click OK 3. Click on GROUP (right side) 4. Now double click anywhere on map and click OK 5. Click on UNIT (right side) 6. Now double click anywhere on map and ADD a single unit (Make sure you select playable!!) Now... You're ready to actually start editing your map. With your character on the ground you can hit PREVIEW anytime to actually view the map in-game. You can drag him around in 3d or 2d to get to the locations you want. To add Buildings. 1. Move your character where you want to add the building... 2. Click on VEHICLES (right side) 3. Double click on map and select your building. Holding SHIFT while the building is selected will let you rotate it.... Edit your map the way you like and then save it as a Multiplayer Mission. To Import Your Map to DayZ 1. http:// dayz.wofjwof. com/ map.php <----- G0 Here (i had to break link it wouldn't let me post) - upload your mission.beidi file (documents/arma2/missions) - enter your Bliss ID - enter your building start # (1 is fine if it's your first run) - If you entered correctly the map importer will give you 2 sections of CODE. 2. We now need to login to your actual MYSQL database - Click BUILDINGS (left side) - Click SQL (at top) - make sure the box is CLEAR! and then paste the code in marked for the BUILDINGS table. - it should give you a message xxx amount of tables have been added. 3. We now need to add the actual building locations etc.. to the database. - Click INSTANCE_BUILDING (left side) - Click SQL (at top) - make sure the box is CLEAR! and then paste your code marked for the INSTANCE_BUILDING table. - if successful you will get a message that you've added xxx amount of tables. You MAY get an error message about "Foreign Keys" if that happens just add this code to the start of your query. SET FOREIGN_KEY_CHECKS=0; You're All Done!!!! SurvivorCarl Does anyone have ideas? Please ask questions, because I am led to believe it must be something simple. I am not a master with codes and computer speak, and all I wanted to do was add a few changes to a hilltop. Why make instanced or underground bases?

I never got around to discussing the technical implementation side of this, but this guy beat me to it: http://dayzmod.com/f...ggestion-bases/ Essentially what this would mean is that the buildings that could be altered would have to be made into objects, similar to how the guns and vehicles will be in the standalone. Simply looking for a new place to call home, sick and tired on joining servers only to see 1000+ vehicles weapons no night time and getting given half your gear as you start the game. I am looking for something that has a player base 24/7 and is without all the bells and whistles. Sick to death of the CoD servers that serve no purpose other than to join and maybe practice flying. Also don't want any servers that give you your location on the map and showing placement of other survivors or any of that crap. Also one without crosshairs would be a bonus as well. -
I do not want to use fuctioning vehicles ...I want to add a push script (used in Iron front 44 which is based on ARMA2) so that these vehicles or gates can be pushed forwards and backwards...that's it but yeah you know what I mean :)

Just a thought. If the MAJOR influence on whether certain forms of construction are practical is the load on the servers, why not hande barricades and construction materials the way vehicles are handled? Roll with me a minute. I'm just letting things pop into my head. If there are a finite number of barricades/structures (wire, pallettes, sandbags etc.) already set-up somewhere on the map, players could find them, take them, and use them to build bases without really adding any new data to the server. It would just be shuffling things around. It would make the end-game require a LOT more organization than we've seen so far. Players would need tools to remove/place structural items and would only be able to move these items one at a time. The one item you carry could possibly take up your whole inventory, or a meta-inventory,so you can't operate normally while building. Vehicles should be NECESSARY to move structural items across the map. Making the road to end-game a slow build-up, as opposed to blah, blah, blah, END. As I say, that's just a few thoughts on the subject. You can form the lynch-mob now.
