Only thing I can see preventing an alpha release in June is if they've not ironed out the server architecture by now. Barring any immense holdups, we have no reason to suspect that they won't live up to their projected review date of "June". Once all the basic stuff is ironed out, I see no further reason for there to be a hold on releasing the alpha. That being said, anyone who'd be upset about the release not being "100%", knowing full well it's been stated as an "alpha release" is just... Wha? Consider what's being changed, and what's -been- changed. - Most buildings are enterable. If you look at the screenshots, coupled with the number of building types in DayZ that aren't enterable currently, it's reasonable to surmise that 90% of buildings will be enterable on release. This is a MASSIVE change to gameplay. - Zombies spawning serverside. Genius. - New areas to explore. Self-explanatory. - New control scheme and inventory. I mean, what more do you want??? So what if vehicles and a lot of weapons aren't there for release? I guarantee there'll be an adequate number of things to do and weapons to shoot. Who the piss needs vehicles? Vehicles were removed for LONG periods of time during the development of the mod for various reasons, and people got along fine. -
Hey, just dropping in to tell you that a new server has just opened up, "Outbreak". This server is the exact replica of Vanilla Day Z, I have made sure that everything has stayed at default settings. Vanilla meaning the way Day Z was really meant to be played, no abusive admins, no 10 year old bandits with as50's, no more bullshit. None of the admins that I have selected have access to anything except bans and logs, I the owner am the only one with full control over the private hive. If needed though, due to any overload of hackers I will select a few good admins to help with the hive. In all honesty though, the reason I have started this server is because I want to play Day Z the way it was meant to be played, I was getting tired of all the mods and cars and op gear, etc etc. That being said, yes, I will be playing from time to time on the server. And YES, I will be playing legit. I have been playing Day Z for about a 5 months now so I am very familiar with everything. If you ever join this server, you better watch out fo meh! Anyways, in case anyone was wondering...I am a pretty experienced Admin, I have not only admined Day Z, but many other game too. I know how people can be, hackers and such, so the hacking rate on this server should be low. I spend a lot of my time checking logs, etc. So we welcome everyone to join our server, setup camp, and prepare for a ton of Vanilla DayZ fun! We plan to run and actively support this server Till Rocket releases the Standalone. The release date is unknown but know that you will have a safe place to plop your tent and be ready until then. Hi everyone! I revert my dayz version to 1.7.2.3 to have the editor and it works,but I cant eat,repare vehicles and nothing about the dayz scripts.How i can made possible that? Thanks =D

should be able to enforce some gfx settings server side, some people with good rigs play with poo settings to spot tents/vehicles -
How about closing another massive exploit loophole and cripple loot farming of military weapons by server locking them, like vehicles and tents are locked to servers now? Heck, lock everything except tool items, food, drink and clothing. Changing servers should lose a player all but the basics. Then every high end item has to be scavenged as intended on the server it is used in. It is mainly server hopping and loot farming makes the high end gear seem more common than it should be, including those hand cannons that children cry over so much. Why should players be able to teleport from server to server, hoarding resources they shouldn't plausibly be able to access? Bottom line is that they shouldn't. I'm sure it wasn't the intended design outcome, which would make it an exploit like any other. One which could possibly be stopped. How many kit up in an empty server, go to a high-pop on a killing spree, bug out to a safe haven filled with hoarded loot when the going gets tough, then travel across empty servers safe and unseen? Too many, including so-called clans ... utter nonsense. It would all be rather different if everyone arrived unarmed and maybe ill equipped, a suitable penalty for moving servers perhaps. Only exploiters have any reason to complain.

Taviana. It' easier to hide tents and vehicles on it. Plus you can drive over long stretches without having to constantly avoid obstacles. It also allows regular cars that can't go offroad to remain quite useful.

When the SA comes out, Yes there will not be much in it, Not a lot of weapons, Not any vehicles, Progress over a long time before it resembles anything like the Mod features. But there will be a lot more happy customers than the naysayers and "shoulda released it sooner" crowd. Get a life and realise there is more to life than negative replies. You could at least appreciate the hard work being done and the updates and information being given and shared, especially when they (the devs and co) don't have to do a damned thing. -

At the moment we have a mix of English, Dutch and Belgian players (chat in ENG) and are still looking for some more active players to join in. players can now choose sides and get a custom load out for ether bandit or hero, with access to the bandit or hero base vehicles :) -
I think he used to be good when he showed some actual in-game footage- searching towns for food'n stuff. But since he uses hacks to spawn the best vehicles and the best guns in the game, it gets boring for me... DayZ isn't all about pvp activities with the best gear.

They just banned our whole squad when we killed them at the airfield :lol: Thats how this server admins acts when they get killed :huh: The admins name where "Anyhole" and "KamenkaMoe" and there was a third one that did get away :P Watch out for the admins, they came to NWAF with 3 vehicles and did get killed by us. After a few secs we saw one by one of our squad mates getting banned for "NO REASON"(killing admins) at all. Beware from this server, if you kill the admins, you will get BANNED! :) Have a good day, DayZ German Hometown! -

DAYZ CHERNO+ Active admins- 99.9% hack free So, as we don't have any complete list of what we offer, here is a list of the mods we have made to the vanilla map. We have 10+ new locations, including new military and medical FOBs, new industrial areas by both northern airfields, a bridge to Stalisty island where you will find FOB Banjo and the US Navy extraction force off the coast. We have also included some new functionally to the vanilla mod. This includes the option to refuel using the scroll wheel while in your vehicles, the option to self-bloodbag and also more control with parachuting, via HALO jumps. We also have animated heli crashes, so watch the skies! The self-bloodbag script is accessed via the scroll menu, when the bloodbag is in your main inventory, and will take 60 seconds to apply. It will give you 4000 blood, and has a 10% infection rate. The HALO jump script is also accessed from the scroll menu, while in aircraft. Once you have jumped, you are given the option to Pull Chute, again found in your scroll menu. Don't leave it too late to pull your chute (100m and below) We also offer custom player bases for donators, along with permanent skins for clans and single players. We will be adding lockable gates soon to add to the security of these bases. Donations Will get you a custom skin all the way up to a player base. Weapons will not be given for donations. How edit loots and unban weapons and vehicles on dayz.st server

http://opendayz.net/threads/100-custom-loot-tables-tutorial.8474/ Use this in conjunction with Rmod to add just about any weapon to your spawn tables to spawn in buildings. Do not worry with the Anim.pbo. That's something client side that would cause you much grief fooling around with. Most anything you want to do can be achieved server side via .sqf file override calls in your init.sqf. As for adding vehicles, use your custom spawn option in the Admin CP map. Just paste the class name of the vehicle you want into the field. Not all vehicles will work even with Rmod enabled, but many will. Also, there is much written about what you want to do over on the DayZ.St forums. -
This may sound strange but here goes. I don't think Day Z turned out the way dean hall originally planned it to be. I get the vibe that yes he intended Day Z to be more then it is at the moment, hunting for food, foraging surviving against zombies, team up with players and so forth. The game that we have today has those mechanics but not at the level i think they originally intended them to be. Pvp kind of just took over and to me and i assume a lot others is the sole reason they play. To be quit honest I'm pretty sure day z wouldn't have its popularity today if it wasn't for the huge emphasis on it. I also think that's a major part of why BB is successfully because we cater for that type of game play, with extra military spawns and so forth. I don't think you can have the strait out survival aspect of a zombie game that was originally intended and have it implemented on the arma 2 engine as a mod, it just i guess doesn't feel right for me, it needs to be done another way. I think high powered rifles (50 cal or 33 cal) are an essential addition to a server, but need to be very rare and few in number. The reason why i say this is because they act as a deterrent to wreck less acts performed by a player. What i mean by this is it creates that fear factor in someones mind that "Shit i should not run in that open field" even though that tree line is 800m away. If this fear factor was not in the game then people would run around carelessly or like spastics thinking they are a lot more safer. The good thing about this effect is it can still be applied even with VERY minimal number of 50 cal's on the server. Everyone doesn't necessarily need to have one for that way of thinking to occur its just the fact that someone knows its a possibility, this becomes a massive issue though when that possibility is dramatically increased. When it reaches that point it effects game-play and also causes a lot of people to complain. There's a thin line that needs to be balanced between people thinking how many 50 cal's are on the server and how many actually are. That same point explained above also apply's to not just players but vehicles/helicopters also. It will make a pilot/driver re think his route before actually doing it, if there was no fear factor people would just do what ever.

Me and my buddy made a new chernarus server. We have spent the past week adding stuff in and touching it up. We are on constantly and always available via skype (c.duck305 & douglasnapoli). Some features: - custom bases (willing to make some for those who are loyal to our server) - custom events (The volume will jump up significantly during the video. Be prepared) - Extremely active admins (We are always willing to help) - Already have clans such as LBX, FYB, and MLP inhabitting the server - Vehicle towing - Auto refuel - LBX Town - Extra barracks - Heli crash sites - Limitted helis balanced with plenty of ground vehicles (We want to encourage base building... therefore, helis are few and far between) - Ready to use roadblock areas The server is 100% good to go. So with the .50s out, what are we going to use to stop vehicles? The 50s I felt were there to take out the vehicles, but had a nice side effect of one shot kills. You have one side of the community asking for more realisim which is basicly a one shot kill weapon with all weapons. Then you have the other side crying that they weapons are overpowered. Sure it sucks to get sniped, but with the wind drift supposed to be going in next, those long range snipers are going to be forced to get some real skill, or get closer. -

Yo! Been playing DayZ for a while and am quite experienced and knowledgable in the world that is DayZ Chenaurus. Like it says in the title, I live in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, which is GMT +8 I think? I am mature, 23 if that matters, and just want to play with other people. I play on a private server that usually has over 20 people, tons of vehicles, extra barracks and lots of goodies! I have a nice camp with a large stockpile of weapons to use in heroeness or banditry lol. I'm up for either. I usually play after 1030 pst or sometimes in the morning before work. Hey, just dropping in to tell you that a new server has just opened up, "Outbreak". This server is the exact replica of Vanilla Day Z, I have made sure that everything has stayed at default settings. Vanilla meaning the way Day Z was really meant to be played, no abusive admins, no 10 year old bandits with as50's, no more bullshit. None of the admins that I have selected have access to anything except bans and logs, I the owner am the only one with full control over the private hive. If needed though, due to any overload of hackers I will select a few good admins to help with the hive. In all honesty though, the reason I have started this server is because I want to play Day Z the way it was meant to be played, I was getting tired of all the mods and cars and op gear, etc etc. That being said, yes, I will be playing from time to time on the server. And YES, I will be playing legit. I have been playing Day Z for about a 5 months now so I am very familiar with everything. If you ever join this server, you better watch out fo meh! Anyways, in case anyone was wondering...I am a pretty experienced Admin, I have not only admined Day Z, but many other game too. I know how people can be, hackers and such, so the hacking rate on this server should be low. I spend a lot of my time checking logs, etc. So we welcome everyone to join our server, setup camp, and prepare for a ton of Vanilla DayZ fun! We plan to run and actively support this server Till Rocket releases the Standalone. The release date is unknown but know that you will have a safe place to plop your tent and be ready until then.
