VOODOO PEOPLE private server is live. Run by me Ringo, I set up the server to be run honestly and to have some serious but fun DayZ play. Already have a few people setting up home here - some modifications have been made but I still want it to be a hard life out there! Solid custom Anti Hack. Active Admins Full Day / Night Cycle Start with a pistol and a Winchester but with low ammo and in desperate need of supplies! Increased amount (not loads) of vehicles & helicopters that start repaired but once damaged still need fixing - look after them! Auto fuel at gas stations. Increased crash sites (every 10-15 minutes) I have not changed any loot tables or buildings etc. This is still hardcore, tough and brutal DayZ but just with a few 'tweaks' as above just makes it a little more 'fun' for new spawns in the early game. Only 2 Server rules for your protection; 1. No Voice Talk on Side Chat 2. Cheating/Abuse will get you banned. I'm a friendly admin that never exploits. I just want a good, strong and fun gaming experience. I am also open to new suggestions when trying to improve the gaming experience. People love to explore big cities in a game like this and these two come the closest, even though they're quite small. So all I notice now is everyone spawns around these two areas and if they don't they just find the nearest place to vault off of. People barely go north because the rest of the map is so boring, small villages don't offer anything and they make up the rest of the map other than Zino which you never really spawn anywhere near. Without vehicles there isn't any reason to go anywhere tbh, especially now they removed the big sniper rifles. Items I used to find in the game don't seem, to be in anymore, I haven't even seen NVGs or a Ghilie in months, I haven't seen a vehicle in months either....... were they taken out or something? So I find there is even less reason to go anywhere other than Cherno and Elektro because the only fun thing to do now is kill people. I hope that the new map adds like a River running through the middle to give an excuse to use boats and plant a city in the middle of the map. I hope maybe there will be big buildings to explore like a shopping centre or something, I hope loot will be fixed because right now it just seems so borked, the only time I find loot really now is off hackers. Tbh though someone needs to take that Take on Helicopters map and flesh it out for Dayz, would be amazing.

Vehicles do not re-spawn right away each vehicle has a reset timer. We are looking into why they spawn at debug.

What's up everyone, I would appreciate some help with this issue. Here is my background, I was just playing dayz on my i3 laptop which I just sold and built a new rig with an i5. I had no problems playing before, sure like everyone else I had to reinstall and deinstall a few times but nothing to serious. But now this is extremely annoying, spend a huge chunk of $$$ on a MSI Lighting Geforce 770GTX :( video card and I want to play this game after suffering so much playing dayz before on my laptop. I only use Dayz Commander... to connect to dayz My normal procedure goes as followed: Open Steam in "Admin Mode" Install Arma 2 Install Arma 2 : Operation Arrownhead Install Arma 2 : Operation Arrownhead Beta Install DayzCommander Run DayCommander Run Arma 2 Run Arma 2 : Operation Arrownhead Run Arma 2 : Operation Arrownhead Beta Install Dayz in DayzCommander Update Arma 2 from DayzCommander Then enjoying playing Dayz, Until NOW!!! This setup used to work for me, I've even gone so far to have Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead turned on, go into - Expansion- and select "Dayz Mod" & "Arma 2 : Operation Arrowhead : Dayz Mod" as well. Which mind you I NEVER used to have to do to play the game so I don't know why I would now. The worse thing is I Have to select "Windowed Mode" in Dayz Commander as it will crash the whole game and I have to restart my brand newly installed Windows 7, which anyone knows will just mess up your Windows forcing a restart through forcibly turning it off. I have a friend who bought Arma 2 + OA and has the same exact issue as me and practically gave up on Dayz like many other people cause of how glitchy the mod is and he feels it's not worth the trouble to get it working. Not me though I'm dying to play this game as I have characters with supplies like vehicles in the woods on multiple servers and they will be erased any day now if I don't log in. (I also do not have any other PC to use) I'm to the point of playing with my router settings which I feel is stupid because I never needed to do that before so I'm really cautions with what settings I am turning off/on, like my firewall turned off but will I get the same error "Connection Failed". Enabled/Disabled UPnP and still nothing. Mind you I tried each time loading the game and checking to make sure I had internet and still "Connection Failed". I see lots and lots of people having this same issue and resolving it with deinstalling & reinstalling every. I have done this multiple times like over 10 and I am sick of doing it. My normal procedure of deinstalling goes as followed: In Steam - Delete Local Content... from Arma 2 Arma 2 OA Arma 2 OA Beta Battleye for OA Battleye Steam as well DayzCommander Then go into C: Drive Delete, Steam folder in "Program Files (x86)" folder, as well as the DayzCommander which is under the name "Dotjosh Studios". Then open "Documents" Delete Arma 2 & Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead folders. I even go into Regedit and remove anything Steam, Valve and anything else related to these programs keys. Then Restart my PC download Steam run in Admin mode and begin with my normal install procedures. So if anyone has any advice or recommendations I would appreciate it, if I can never fix this I will wait for standalone which is any moment now but it really sucks if I can't even test my Geforce 770 GTX. So basically a bunch of money pissed away at the moment due to me not being able to play a game I really like. >:( Did I mention HELP ME !!! lol, Later. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ By the way, I just got my own Dayz Server and I'm looking for people who know how to build custom maps and would be interested in helping admin perhaps as well. Here is the DAYZ.us IP: 192.31.185.203 The goal would be to have hidden bases custom (built or not) far away from the main cities and full of good loot spawning in, give players very little start out loot. Try to have most cars on the coast abandoned near gas stations leading away from the cities. Have Tents & Cars not reset after 3 days (if possible). Stripping vehicle parts would be a must but player must find toolbox. Could offer donations for starter gear but the prices would have to be rock bottom and very cheap, idea still up in the air about this. I wanna try to make it very hard to survive yet make sure people have to work to gear up so when you die you'll feel bad for the wasted time. Good Evening all, recently i got involved into a nice server(DayZ Origins server). This server is currently a whitelisted server of players that are 21+ of age. Everybody is constructing there stronghold and repairing there vehicles because once this is done the server will become a pvp server. Sinds i am a new member on this server i don't know a lot of players and i tend to do things as a lone wolf. and honest this can be very hard! and lets not talk about boring it can be... So! I am looking for 3 players to form a squad with. People that are easy going and like to chat with each other and work well together. Also the person must! and this is a must! be over 21+. pref also players from europe is highly welcome because of the diffrent timezones. still i love to meet people from all the globe so don't let this discourage you. I'm not seeing any real issues with vehicles spawns under that IID. In fact most of them seem to pretty recent last update value's ? What is the issue your having

Info: We are a group of 6 players that are primarily bandits but we are willing to accept heroes. Our group has a teamspeak and a origins server that we play on every day. Our group has played together since dayz was first in alpha. We all live in different time zones (CST, EST, PST.) We normally play from 5pm - 12am CST on weekdays and all day on weekends. We all play different roles within the group we don't require anyone to play any specific role instead we freestyle and play whatever we want as long as we have a good balance of firepower. Our playstyle is flexible since we each play differently but we always communicate with the group our positions and enemy positions. We have done stealth tactics, run and gun tactics, ambushes, and distractions/draw fire for others. We aren't a full pvp group instead we scavenge for our supplies and when we get tired of that we look for trouble. If we see an enemy we evaluate the situation and go in for the kill but we don't rush in blindly. Requirements: Must be 18+ years or older Must have a mic and TS Must be team oriented Must be prepared for pvp, it happens Respect the members please Must be an active member Only accepting US players If you run with us, don't run with anyone else outside the group. It used to be that you had to save the vehicles to lock them in place, then they removed it and it automatically happened. I think they put it back in as a precaution so if you want to be double safe you can save it as well.

I had to make em walk like that, since there where vehicles on each side, if i made a wp for all 3 they will all choose a diff path, so had to make em follow the lead npc. Npc's u know, they work for free, they dont listen to u all the time haha :lol:

For now the SUV is only for the private hives including our official private hive. However for the time being the SUV will not spawn on the official as i don't have the time to do the full setup of the proc's to get it spawning as it should. As many of you know the official follows a strict system for spawning vehicles based on time and to get this setup well is a pain and will take a few hours to get it all setup.

Every vehicle has features only modders brought into play so far, that's why. It's not like they can't do it, claiming to give the player a realistic experience. So far the vehicles ( still impressive in their state ) are just like in any other shooter.

the server has been completely updated and is running great! lots of new things have been added. .remove clothes from dead players (camo/Sniper) .Remove parts from vehicles . siphon fuel from vehicles . Self Blood bag . New vehicle tow and lift script . auto refuel . halo jump from choppers . no fog or overcast Med Base Addons . New building added to med base . only approved medics can enter med building . Laptop added to med building with options to: Remove zeds within 100m of med base, spawn a new med chopper, equip your medical gear and apply your medic skin. . The off road med vehicle now has working sirens. . Fixed: Warning Triggers not activating and bases when driving a vehicle. will now activate the Green Zone warnings, Bandit base info and Hero Base info even if you are in a vehicle and will not repeat when you exit the vehicle. The Duff Shack: Added a motorbike that is jet black and has an option to activate flames (looks gooooood!!) Added a shield so that only some players can access the Duff Shack. And that's all i can think of at the moment lol have fun and enjoy :)

Hello people of the DayZ Forums, I need help with installing mods and extras to my server I am renting from XstreamGaming.net. I have purchased it thinking I would be easily able to maintain the server, such as help out players, teleport to players (Not to abuse power, because I know how buggy the DayZ mod is and sometimes glitches can happen, and players need help). Also spawning vehicles in certain spots etc. I have also been on servers with 'Wardrobe' to change their skin, self blood-bagging etc. You know what I mean? Anyway, I have learned you need to edit .pbo files in order to do this, but I am totally confused on how to work it out. I have all the correct files to extract and create .pbo files, so I've cracked that down, just need help with the rest. My TS server is 85.234.146.98:9998 . Any kind of help is greatly appreciated. -Jordan

Yeah, this is a DayZ Epoch server, just made a few weeks ago. The admins are online every single day. Custom map. North West Airfield improved by A LOT! Best Architectural creative players you'll meet. I couldn't say enough on how the administrators are respectful and quite intelligent if you repay the same. The reason I say such nice stuff is simply because they did the same to me. They appreciate pretty much all players. Really is a never ending waterfall of kind words about this server! It's PVP with safe zones in traders. Fresh spawns like no kidding. Find all types of helicopters. Found a MV22 in a field with my friend. Found a American commando in Elektrovodsk. There is also Self bloodbag, Auto Refuel, Cargo drops out of your chinhook or MV22 or any other helicopters you use to cargo, 300 + vehicles, and Like I said, a Custom Map you'll like. I believe there are extra barracks. Sure looks like it to me. But the owner doesn't want the game too easy. Made it pretty easy that you can self bloodbag, but if you are a lone wolf. That's the favorite. Auto refuel is good for helicopters. Just stop at a gas station. Boom scroll down to refuel. Let it fill up. There is a decent amount of AI, not too many so it doesn't get annoying. But let me say, you aren't safe unless you know what you are doing. I guarantee most players will love this server. #5) Updates and Progress Reports. * 29/7/13 Going live... summary So after several hours this is getting fleshed and i'm happy! It should give you a good idea of where it's going. Please post good tutorials and i will add them, try to cover aspects not covered! If you have suggestions for a better layout I'm listening. Vehicles have been neglected for now, all will be covered. New Server with tons of custom building and bases built through out the whole chernarus map! Easily able to gear up fast and get into the fight! Many cool actions and abilities to do beside hunting players. Smelting is now active in the server so you may boil water and build car parts from useless tin cans. Custom Debug Monitor which can tell you blood, FPS, humanity and all the other basics! With over 250 vehicles, you can now transport your self much more easily through out the map. Bases are located on the map attached marked with an X. All Airfields are loaded with explore-able places to gear up. Starting Gear is a Crossbow with 2 arrows and an M9 Silenced with 2 mags and basic supplies to get going. Anti hacks are installed along with Battle Eye to make sure game play runs smoothly with no hacker disruptions. basically 90 percent of servers for me and my group start like this start get lee enfield kill someone steal there better gear find admin who always has heli and othe best geat destroy them take over server. wait.... once admin tracks yo througfh admin tools and gives himself best gear cxomes to get you and crew constantly you kill him then you get banned. that is mostly my dayz experience. i wait for standlone and no admin abuse or little. last big server i was on i had admin spawn in helis with missles planes to ram me and cars and other vehicles still didnt kill me 85 killstreak lol even with admin abuse.

I no longer have the extra vehicles on my serer anymore since I'm running Epoch now
