Had an awesome encounter today on CrayZMod server. My brother heard a ural and we caught up to it in our suv. They were just pulling into their little hidden camp where they had another ural and some tents in the woods. They didn't know we were behind them watching and we ambushed them. After looting they're corpses they had about 10 guns in their camp which i'm guessing took them a while to collect. We took all of them and then blew out the tires on their vehicles. We didn't see them on the rest of the day.

Hey i roll with my brother and another and we just created a little clan of our own called NMS or no mercy squad. We're a shoot on sight group and we enjoy killing noobs and pros and taking people's crap. We actually just followed a group of people today to a stash and then ambushed them, took all their weapons and destroyed their vehicles. Hey everyone. Just wanted to post about a new server. Its a chernarus map with 1000 strippable vehicles, great loot, multiple clans, and great people. Unfortunately nobody knows about it. The main clan is the EPSI clan with their donor base but they are constantly challenged by the Dr. clan and the NMS clan which a friend and I just started. There is constant clan rivalry and sometimes the smaller groups get together and raid the EPSI base. It is by far one of the funnest servers I've ever played on and its going to get better. Admin are always on and gathering feedback and ideas from the players. We would love to see some new recruits on. The address is 108.174.63.242:2302 .

Hello everybody! I am here to represent to you a new DayZ Chernarus server to you guys to come and enjoy the game like you never did before! What we have to make stuff interesting: Custom Load outs (1x Painkiller, 1x Steak, 1x coke, 2x bandage, 1x Watch, 1x Compas). Custom buildings (Requests are always welcome). Vehicles spawn everywhere. EXTRA: 10x Bicycles, 6x helis, 3x planes, 4x atvs, 1x SUV Random events. Which contains people protecting a specific area of the map without leaving that area. Those people have to stay there until they die with good loot (DMR, Mk 48, etc...) The objective of the other people not protecting is to kill those people to be able to win all the loot and a special vehicle. (This will be announced 2-3 hours just before it starts) DayZ.ST hosted. Custom Anti-Hax. Every 3 hours restart. And if needed a restart for the performance Fast loading screen. Hosted in The Netherlands (Amsterdam) Active admins. I have the idea for a dayz cinematic I want to try and make, maybe as a simple short or maybe as an intro to a lets play, we'll see about that.. I've seen cinematics being made of dayz that can rival feature films if the appropiate effort is put into it. The camera can move wherever you want it and you can have characters and vehicles move as you please. However I have no idea how to put this into practice. I don't even know the logistics of how to make characters move while you film it. Is it even possible to do this alone? I have a spesific question regarding cinematics also, is it possible, if i want to let's say make a time lapse of cherno from day to night while the camera moves over it? Any and all replies to this is greatly appreciated because the potential of the cinematics are limitless and I believe I will be able to create great things if I only knew how.

Let's say you attack a camp belonging to the clan who runs the server. They have two or three guards that you quickly kill, as you're looting their tents and vehicles the server restarts. Now, instead of having all the time in the world to loot their camp, they're now on their way back to the camp to retaliate. Granted they'll have to re-gear, but they could have tents & vehicles stashed other places making that return trip very short. Now, if it happened the other way, where you died defending your camp, you might have to wait for hours or even a day before they decide to restart the server, plenty of time for them to clean you out completely. It would just be another thing that is under the control of the people running the server. Not bad if the server is run properly, but it is human nature to take advantage of your situation.

Byff's Blogz day#16 It's getting rare that I'm the only player on the server, even during the quiet periods when I could loot the map with ease. Couple of new players that make me uneasy, fire and air, that are always on together so until I've established friendly or hostile intentions, will continue to treat then with suspicion. My garage is still undiscovered, still 7 vehicles but I've swapped a UAZ for another black SUV. I was determined not to add another vehicle to the collection and cure myself of this hoarding addiction. When I have time on Monday, I'll sort out the gear and move all but the 2 SUV's down to the coast (presuming they haven't been found by then). Today I've been looting industrial spawns to collect enough spares to do full repairs of anything I may find. I'm still low on engine parts and glass, but I've got loads of scrap metal and Jerry cans. I also ran through a pub and found my very first ghillie suit. A good hours worth of looting and I finish my last nightshift tonight before a week off :)

lol Jalen, did you appeal your ban? Thought id post some footage (its pretty poor quality :P), a couple people record on the server so you will see your death every now and then if you watch the forums and post asking who got ya' this is us ambushing the heli. Lack of 50cal and and semi auto snipers makes it hard to take down heavy vehicles so it takes some careful planning :) the huey is usually in the hands of a a big squad so we are fighting a guerilla war against them at the moment. There is lots of friendly rivalry hence the jubilation at taking it out. ambushing a different group of guys in a Vodnik (armoured car) set up all the tank traps, the guys in it challenged the server to take them out, told us all the route some action with chloroform, an item developed by the Redux devs, it knocks a player out for a few minutes and you can carry them around and do what you want with them ;) -

Then it turns into settling for a server that has all the right things but maybe has something off putting like admins that horde vehicles and such, or use a pay to win structure I.e; Payed custom loadouts (game breaking). So, after lots of research, myself and a group of close clanmates with lots of hosting experience decided it was time to start our own DayZ server with all the most favorite perks of popular servers but without any bs. And admins that actually understand how frustrating it is when the game glitches and you get spawned. IP: 173.192.200.117:3187

In the upcoming dayzmod patch I like to see: 1. Resolving some bugs, like Auto repairing and instant body hiding after death. 2. Able to repair and refuel a vehicle by anybody, not only the last pilot/driver. 3. Easy "inspect vehicle" menu, where we can see a % of damaged parts, like 95% Engine, 50% left front wheel etc... 4. Some new buildings like barracks at the NEAF, some barns in Kamenka, etc. 5. New weapons: RPK, M16A4, AK variants with grenade launcher and AK-74UN silenced with SD mags. Also I suggest to add KSVK. 6. Some new vehicles, like Kamaz and V3S with tent. 7. Reduce the spawn chance of high end weapons in coast town, like cherno and elektro. People will need to reach long distances to get good weapons. 8. Remove random zombies in the fields: they give no fear, only easier to spot another player near you. 9. Fresh players spawn with no backpack. 10. Add @stmovement addon in DayZ integrated. It removes a collision in buildings and it is more comfortable to run over rooms. That's all, I think. Maybe I will add some interesting thoughts. Thx.

Then it turns into settling for a server that has all the right things but maybe has something off putting like admins that horde vehicles and such, or use a pay to win structure I.e; Payed custom loadouts (game breaking). So, after lots of research, myself and a group of close clanmates with lots of hosting experience decided it was time to start our own DayZ server with all the most favorite perks of popular servers but without any bs. And admins that actually understand how frustrating it is when the game glitches and you get spawned in the sea or lose your loot you spent hours or days getting, so we save many backups and keep multiple logs showing different information to help these players get back what they've lost. Server IP : 192.31.185.217:3306 We are a group of Dayz players who love playing on private hives but don't always agree with how people run their servers, so here we are. We have a small group of active admins and will be whitelisting the server in the future when there are no admins present to minimise the threat of hackers. It is a 50 slot server with 250 vehicles and 20 Choppers, Auto Refuel and air lift/vehicle towing. We have also added some custom weapons, but do not intend on offering game breaking weapon loadouts. Your spawn loadout includes a makarov, map and machete. Voice over side chat is allowed but spamming will get you kicked and repeated abuse will get you banned. We are working on getting a website up and running as well as forums and a vent or teamspeak and will update this post as things start coming up. I think it's a matter of avaliability. If you have a fortified military base, with 100 zombies and one helicopter in it and it takes you a month of teamwork to get it running, it's a lot different from servers where you start with 5 already spawned, fully repaired helis ready to take off, with 2 m240s with 100 rounds each... I hope that the customization in standalone, as well as item degradation, energy-consumption, etc. will balance out everything. Even if you manage to get your hands on one of the few remaining NVGs, you'd have to have working batteries, a station to reload those batteries and access to Electricity. You'd have to take care that no direct light hits it, or it would destroy the light-sensor. It would be a bitch to keep that thing working, but if you managed to do so, you should get the advantage it provides. I really apreciate that rocket decided not to put vehicles into the initial release and to focus on simple items at first, to get back to the survivor-feeling many of us miss. But I have no problem with good gear, as long as it doesn't spawn everywhere and only gives more advantages, but no disadvantages. I sincerely hope, that the disadvantages of using certain tools will have an effect in the game. People should use their common sense to get around. At the moment, you have a worst and a best item and you start to have the best item of everything. In reality, there is no "best item", as it only depends on what you want to achieve. There are reasons why soldiers have small and large backpacks and don't run around with the biggest they have all the time. There is a reason, why they developed shorter and longer rifles. And there is a reason why soldiers don't run around with 5 boxes of 200 Rounds each in their backpack. If all those disadvantages of having those items come into the game, It will balance out more than just taking out weapons. the history has shown us that "unlock all weapons" is the most popular addition on private servers. Taking away the need to use those weapons because the disadvantages overweigh, is a more natural way to limit that. Imho.

*No other mods* I've updated the map again, now we have additions like fire stations and or general stores in some other coastal towns to aid you getting equipped after a death. Many more vehicle spawn locations to keep things fresh,No more "That vehicle always spawns there" because we have tripled our spawn locations :) Over 100 Vehicles are constantly on server. North East Airfield has a major update and the map has many more deer stands and camo bunkers dotted around the map. Where a fire station / hospital / store in out in the open in a new placement you will find 2-3 deer stands off in the hills to be a good sniping location. Custom load outs are being introduced too. Still in the early stages of thinking them through but working off your humanity level we are issuing custom load outs at various levels. Custom load outs available at the moment include... (Humanity point reward levels may increase/decrease) Medic - Use of Medic Vehicles at the Green zone, M9SD and New skin. (Gain Hero Status +5000 Humanity) Hero - Use of Hero camp Vehicles, Pistol on Spawn. (Gain Hero Status +5000 Humanity) Supreme Hero - Use of Hero camp Vehicles, Pistol & Lee Enfield on Spawn. (Gain +10000 Humanity) Ultimate Hero - Use of Hero camp Vehicles, Pistol, GPS & M16A2 on Spawn. (Gain +25000 Humanity) Bandit - Use of Bandit camp Vehicles & Pistol on Spawn. I think it should be more of an "event" to get in a helicopter. Right now there's not much sense of the size, power and complexity of the machine, you just hop in and fly it around like it's an arcade game. It takes off almost immediately, too. It's better in first-person, but not too much. These are some examples of what I think is missing... Ideally I'd like it to be a bit more complex... that is, if they include helicopters... and if they include military helicopters there's no logical reason they shouldn't include other military vehicles, which opens up a whole can of worms... Oops, going off-topic. High-powered guns are fine as long as they are plausible... I don't think the AS50s or M107s are plausible. If this was a war game with light armour, then maybe, but no one needs them for humans or zombies. However I do like the ability to snipe people at very long ranges, so if they decide to include a long-range rifle I hope it's either a .338 or a .300 WM or any similar caliber. One of the things many games do is introduce a plethora of random guns from around the world, usually picked for their "cool factor". They aren't even plausible choices or have an explanation for being found in the game world... Raging Judge in Black Ops 2? Or Desert Eagles in oh-so-many war games? Okay, these guns are cool, but they make no sense. That's fine, because those are casual games. In ArmA the weapons lists do try to make sense (well, not ArmA III, heh). You don't have random guns or vehicles added in for cool factor. If it's US vs Takistan, you have US weapons and vehicles and Takistani weapons and vehicles and precious little else. They don't put in a golden Desert Eagle or an AEK-971 for bling or awesomeness (maybe a golden revolver and AK, but Middle Eastern commanders have a penchant for gaudy shit like that). In my ideal DayZ the weapons list would reflect what you might find in a country similar to Chernarus. Lots of Russian guns, maybe more than a few Western guns too depending on the backstory, but no survivors toting .500 Smith & Wessons (nudge nudge LancerG2 ;) ), AA-12 automatic shotguns or very special .50 caliber anti-material rifles (I can't seem to find a picture or report of an AS50 being used in combat anywhere). I think a major problem many people have is that the lower-powered weaponry just isn't as fun to use. Fire a Makarov in DayZ and it goes "pop" and doesn't do any real damage. In real life you can feel the blast, the gun recoils in your hand, it's extremely loud, there's a bunch of sensations that are completely missing in the game, especially with the lame default gun sounds. They need to work on that. Maybe if they make the "lower tech" weapons feel badass, people wouldn't have as much desire for the "higher tech" guns.

Who's to say you couldn't learn? Albeit it's more difficult to learn as I understand it, but it is possible. Though I see where you are coming from, removing them completely does not really make sense. If this were the case we would probably see a removal of all military bases as well. For where there are military bases, there is military issue gear is there not? I do not like seeing multiple people's with AS50's but I also do not like the idea of "no rare high powered guns or items" it's just such a neat feature, increasing the rarity of these weapons (and possibily vehicles) is a more likely solution.

I thought we would put Stockholm into DayZ for once. Stockholm (The area I painted out) is about 187km² So a little bit bigger than chernarus. The island is filled with not only buildings, there are big forests in many areas, and has 1 big airport. There is one island maybe as big as Utes right on the coast. Map = http://i.imgur.com/8Gb1uYN.jpg Do you think this would be a great map? On this map there's not only "being on the coast, or being in the woods" like in chernarus. Since there are smallers cities everywhere around the map. You do not have to run so far just to get to one place since all cities are pretty tight and would cause pretty cool PvP fights everywhere. And as I said there are many big forests to create camps in and keep vehicles.
