New to the Game but not to the technology. Put this up after having Admin abuse on another WELL known server. (who the hell shows up with a GPK, 5 guys and knows exactly where you are 1200m from where you killed their buddy ?) Server is still in its infancy. Prepaid for a year on HFB. No pvp/pve rules Shoot what you like, No safe zones. Sarge AI is brutal, and often. Vehicles are enough to get you a decent ride, or some cash to start. Trader cities favor the emerging bandit or hero, Not saying which ones. Towing but only with big vehicles. Lifting but only with big choppers. 30 minute sql dumps for backup. Welcome and thank you for looking at our server advertisement! How many times have you been on a server and the admin(s) kicked/banned you for something that is apart of the dayz play style? How many times have you been kicked/banned for killing an admin legitimately? How many times have you found the admins base and were punished for playing the game legitimately? I've had plenty of the issues and then some over the long period of time that I have spent playing DayZ. Honestly it seems like every server I go to I find another admin that has a superiority complex and uses his powers against me. It eventually got to the point that led to this server being born. We pride ourselves on being the complete opposite of those admins. Visit our website at http://us15816.enjin.com Now to what you really came to see... Currently we have just barely over 100 vehicles and are working on making them a better mixtures of vehicles instead of a crap ton of bicycles. We are offering 3 different events that will occur on the server: Backpack Event: A backpack full of good - awesome loot will be placed somewhere in Cherno or Elektro then announced and the first person to get the loot out alive gets to keep it! Rules do apply to the event to protect the event and the fairness of it. (e.g. No sniping from outside the city) Helicopter Event: A random temporary helicopter will be spawned at a random location on the map. The helicopter will de-spawn from the map after server restart but will be initially spawned right after a fresh restart. The first to get the helicopter out alive gets to use the helicopter till the next restart. If the helicopter gets damaged during the fight it will be repaired. The Gladiator Event... Our current most exciting, rewarding and thrilling event we offer! All who wish to participate will be brought to the arena just south of Berezino and given the option to either use a Machete, Axe, or baseball bat. Then they will all scatter around and when announced to begin, have a massive free for all battle. The last man standing will receive a temporary helicopter filled with awesome gear to fly away from the battle grounds with the essence of victory coursing through his/her veins! Bambi Killing: We do not really prefer bambi killing, but we wont scold you or ban you for doing it once in a while or on accident. First excessive offence will result in a 1 hour suspension from the server. Second excessive offence will lead to a 2 hour ban and removal of players current gear on the character. Third excessive offence will lead to a 24 hour ban and you don't want to get to the fourth offence. We want people to have a chance to actually defend themselves. To clarify, if a person possesses a firearm they are no longer considered a bambi to the admins/server. So if you chose to pick up a firearm then you accept that you are free game to others who may wish to harm you. Server Size & Day and Night: This is a 50 slot server with currently 24/7 daytime but if players wish it to change then it will. We only seek to keep people comfortable and happy. We want you to enjoy your time! Raiding The Admins: We allow people to raid the admins base. There is no punishment for raiding the base outside of the admins legitimately hunting you if somehow known it was you. We play legitimately through and through and expect to get raided just like everyone should. We also take serious actions on an admin using powers to gain the upperhand. If you feel that this was the case you can report it and action WILL be taken. Killing an Admin: Killing an admin is absolutely acceptable as we are players just like you. Since DayZ's "scroll and click" system allows a player to do many different actions, why not add some more interactivity within the vehicles for the Standalone? Some ideas I had were: Turn the car/heli radio on and off while the engine is running; can be tuned into players' frequencies or can play generic tunes (wouldn't you want to blast out a rock solo while flying across an apocalyptic wasteland? ;))Turn the lights inside the car (not the headlights) on/off; this is to help see the other players riding with you in the vehicle when it is really dark outside, and to increase immersionTurn windshield wipers on/off; when it starts to rain, you'll be able to see through the windshield :) What do you think?

TheSquadUK DayZ Overwatch server, hosted by Survival Servers uses the most up to date antihack system to help protect its players against hackers. It allows admins to spectate and monitor players in-game to help prevent against hackers and bug abusers and make playing on the server a much more enjoyable experience. So I followed a very common tutorial on adding self bloodbag script, which works as intended but I noticed that something regarding the script now doesn't allow me to save tents and vehicles. I don't know if the selfActions file is the one doing it. Anyone else run into this problem?

The use of the word "buy" here is key. Means it is a modded server, so the server has traders but the server admin has forgotten to set up vehicle persistence. In the vanilla game vehicles are handled by events and do not need persistence - so their default lifetime is set to three seconds. If you use a trader (or spawn vehicles in with admin tools) there is no event to control the vehicle and the lifetime is counted. So basically it will disappear as soon as you turn your back. I recommend you play vanilla servers until you have learned the game, then explore modded servers.

sounds like a bad server setup. vehicles will only despawn when the engine is ruined.
