so my friend has a server and i wanna help him out currently it is extremely pvp focused with tappers and jug although jug armour is only findable in tier 2 key card location and up tier 3 and 4 it uses bbp you start with 100k and helis vehicles and other thing are cheap one thing i may add is the armour you can find is capable of taking multiple 50 cal round and 338lm and 408 but you can find Anzio's only in tier 4 key card bunkers my main question is what do players prefer do people like to focus on the pvp base building and raiding aspect or do more players prefer less over powered guns and armour and an easier chance of dying making looting and doing a black market run more rewarding and scarier high risk high reward kind of thing please let me know thanks for any input regards shadow

AFGaming's DayZ Epoch Chernarus Server is a brand new server with a fresh map! That means unlocked vehicles and loot will be on the map and not taken yet by greedy bandits! We have roaming AI that will drive around in cars they find, fly in helicopters they find, or fun around on foot for an extra challenge for well equipped players! The missions on our server have custom loot boxes that players will want to fight for. Our traders have added items, vehicles, and guns in them! We will soon have a custom map which will allow more practical places for players to loot such as Zelenogorsk(Military's final stand). We will be adding in cool stuff like this as we can! We (the admins) all play legit and do not use any tools (unless needed to) and we're all very active. This server will have near enough every plug-in for example... *NOTE BEFORE READING BELOW, NEW PEOPLE (FIRST 10) WILL BE OFFERED BASIC BUILDING MATERIALS) 500+ Vehicles - This includes more army and tracked vehicles (e.g. tanks) and jets too! AI Missions - Anything from bandits setting up stashes to crashed C130s & helis. Auto Refuel Self Bloodbag Trader Camp God Mode - You will not take damage while inside a trader zone. Customised Map - Many buildings have been added and camps created including "West Kamenka" and "Stary Airbase". Towing - Certain vehicles can tow others, planes can also be towed out of tight spots! Indestructible Base Building - You won't have to worry about your base being destroyed, it becomes indestructible after a restart. Sarge AI - Survivors, soldiers & bandits roam around, fighting each other, zombies & other bandits. Take Clothes - Clothes can be taken from dead bodies. Anti-Hack - We have the latest anti-hack tools in place, you will never be bothered by hackers. More features are being added every week! It seems I spend all the time that I play DayZ, running. It seemingly takes forever to get anywhere in the game. And since I have a glitched spawn, I spawn in Solnichniy every time, making it at least 30 minutes of running before I even get anywhere.

When vehicles get to being finally worked on, are the vehicles going to be the same Make/Model or will there be different vehicles other than PoS Skoda's, Lada's, and other crap too slow to race a sloth?

I was thinking once normal vehicles are added into the game it would be cool if some could be made from spare parts. So say you have the tools need and some resources such as a ruined car you could strip it down and craft a single seat buggy. Then if you have 2x4 wood and some spare parts you could make a bike Last of all if you have a parachute some spare parts and metal tubing you could make a powered parachute. Would be interesting to see what people think and what others could come up with. Thanks.

Oh what it is to have the sea air in your lungs...! Ideas for vehicles that do not require fuel (the obvious choice come the Apocalypse). One and two-man canoes/kayaks (silent, fast coastal transport). These might be lifted and carried inland to hide.A small rowing boat (I've run past so many since the mod began... just imagine... Bicycles that can be folded/dismantled and carried (instead of back-pack) to put inside another vehicle.A racing bicycle (fast on road, slow across fields, unusable in woodland)A mountain bike (slower on-road but usable in woods etc.)A hand-cart, shopping trolley and craftable sled (from wood, tent etc). These allowing transport of large objects/stockpiles by hand (i.e. moving an engine to a damaged vehicle) Going for broke... A Robinson-Crusoe craftable raft propelled with paddles. Option to craft sail from tents.A small sailing yacht.Helicopters? Never... But hot-air balloons - just imagine that for an end-game... [Craft Hot Air Balloon from 4 Parachutes, Propane bottle? Y/N] OK. Yeah, so those last are pushing it... But nothing ventured, nothing gained. And another idea relating to the sea that I may post independently another time... The open sea needs a reason. We have islands coming but, in my opinion, fishing could make it something truly useful to survivors. Nothing new there... But rather than some dice-roll event to catch fish I've been thinking about drifting schools of fish marked by something subtle, a bubbling/darkening of the ocean or seaguls flying above. There need be no resource-hogging fish actually rendered in the water just something to signify you've located one of these drifting zones where a large amount of fish can be caught. This addition would give the player a reason to voyage into the open sea instead of merely crossing it as fast as possible to reach an island. Certain schools may be of high value, making them the 'heli-crashes of the sea'. And... Oh crap, another idea... Spawning ship wrecks. Oh damn, I wish I could code :rolleyes:

Razor Gaming is a diverse Dayz gaming community. Currently only running one server which is Dayz Epoch. Although we do support other games and play them as a community as well. We're a brand community just starting out hoping to spread our name and to become more popular over the next few months. The TOB Dayz Epoch Taviana server is looking for new members! We have a very friendly and helpful staff who are almost always around, because we love playing DayZ. We're not like a lot of other servers where it's difficult to get help or where the staff just doesn't feel very friendly. We've all been to a few servers where the staff isn't friendly, helpful, or they just seem to not care... We're dedicated to always be friendly and helpful to pros and bambis, alike. Our map is Taviana and we're currently working on customizing it with extra buildings, towns, and AI scripted events. We decided on Taviana because everyone knows Chernarus by now. Taviana is fairly new and exciting. More enterable buildings and more possibilities! In time our Taviana will be different from any other. We use Epoch, so as you would expect, all of the standard Epoch benefits are here as well as: - Self bloodbag - Tow/Lift (Being worked on) - Base Building Without Plot Poles - Plot poles still provide the normal benefits (e.g. Others can't build near them, etc.) - Base decay is disabled and instead your base isn't removed until you haven't logged in for an extended period of time. - Bases will be made indestructible (Making it more difficult to break into, but not impossible. Heli landing, ladders, etc.) - Build Snapping - You can now snap walls, floors, etc. together! - Ensures that your walls are straight, your corners are 90 degrees, and your floors are level! - Huge time saver when building your base. - Protected traders - Many different items/vehicles for sale than in standard Epoch (Nothing over-powered). - Custom Heli Evac - Created in-house and you will only find it on our server! - Have a AI pilot bring your heli to you, when you're in need of a vehicle! - Useful Dogs - Still very early in development and we're not sure exactly where it will end up. - It's still too early to know whether or not it will make it into the server. I Understand It's Alpha before you get on the bus about it! I would like to see these vehicles and gear in DayZ SA. Why? 'Cause they would be fairly nice, I suppose? An Assortment of Old Soviet Camo And Weapons. RPK, RPG, Etc. Used by the Chernarussian Movement of The Red Star (Chedaki, ChDKZ) The ChDKZ unsuprisingly has no set uniform, although they do have relatively good supplies of ex-soviet camoflague patterns and have recently suceeded in obtaining quantities of the russian 'Urban Reed' pattern. Additionally, the occasional Ex-NATO pattern turns, usually bought from army surplus suppliers. Webbing is a similarly adhoc affair. Most fighters wear red patches on their upper shoulders to differentiate themselves from irregular fighters from NaPa and the CMB. Vehicles Types & Camo: As a general comment, vehicles are often ex-CDF (although some vehiclesh ave been bought of the blck market, these are often old and generally in short supply), with additional 'spray-can' camo and redm arkings to destinguish their new ownership. A black circle with containing a red star, the ChDKZ 'emblem' and red stars with out surroundings are comonly used, as is a red cross over the turret. The use of improvised vehicles by the ChDKZ has also been reported Chernarus Defence Force (CDF) Chernarussian Flag New Style CDF Uniform The uniform was introduced to replace the older soviet-era fatigues which Chernarus had been using post independance, and which for many are strongly associated with the Civil war. Currently based on the Swiss alpenflage, the camo does works well enough in Chernarus' varied terrain, however plans are afoot to introduce an alternative scheme, based primarily on browns, but this is still at the design/acceptance stage. Vehicle Types NaPa: Nationalist Party of Chernarus NaPa have limited supply chains, and whilst the ChDKZ can atleast put the vast majority of it's fighters into the field in some sort of camo gear, NaPa lag behind. Fighters wear what ever they can get hold of - often army surplus from neighbouring countries - and make up the rest with civillian gear. The main identifying features of NaPa guerillas is their prefernce for face coverings to preserve anonimity when they return to their day jobs. The same limited supply lines apply to NaPa's armamaents, and as such a much wider mix of small arms is seen compared to some of the other Milita groups operating in South Zagoria. Vehicle Types: The T-34 shown in the picture was 'liberated' from a museum, but NaPa are known to have several which they have reconditioned from various monuments. NaPa's infrastructral limitations have enforced a more covert level of work, and their limited AFV resources match this.

Since the last thread where I made this comment got its discussion derailed by a troll, Ill leave this here in the hopes of further intelligent debate: Personally, I think vehicles should either be non existent, extremely rare, or so complex as to require a large amount of team effort (several people working together, not just 2 or three). I think they just make the game too easy. You don't have to "travel" anymore. No need to plan your route, worry about food or water for the trip (currently not a huge concern, but "alpha"),infiltrate, observe, loot, then leave, retreat to the tree line, and wipe the sweat off your brow. Now, we can just hop in the sedan and drive real fast down the road. Stop at the first town we happen to see. All the doors closed? Good. Loot loot loot. Drop everything into the trunk. Now on to the next...Which leads to the problem that entire servers will end up looted dry in a matter of an hour or two by 2 guys and a truck. Honestly, I would rather there not be any vehicles. Bicycles, I think, would not be too bad. But that's where I draw the line. Thoughts?
