  1. Rocket? do you have any time frame or schechuele when we gone see Vehicles in DayZ Standalone??
  2. They are legacy files from A2 (and some legacy from early A3), simply left in the game in its current state, as a few are still used dependency wise. None of these dependent files are indicators of what to expect in future. They are simply there because initially DayZ was using ArmA2 and early ArmA3 testing data, and it has just been left in it. - Rocket The persons who made the video are running a really old version of the game from last year (028.113745) to host a server locally and use those legacy files (which have been left in the game files for well over a year now). it doesn't mean anything, we already know vehicles are going to be completely redone. AK you posted is also the placeholder AK from ArmA 2 that the devs were using for testing purposes before the new ones were completed.

Okay, as a new player to this game, and never playing the DayZ mod, which I am also not a fan of due to the amount of modifications and not giving a true experience to the feel of a zombie apocalypse. These are all just my personal ideas without reading other bullshit from other people nor actually caring what they say. So in advance, do not tell me to search for other peoples thread, this one is mine and I wanted to post in mine. Thank you and hope you enjoy. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Couple things I feel like you should add to the game, and shouldn't in advance. [Hate it or love it, I don't really care] Large vehicles. Seriously the chances of finding a running vehicle are high in a zombie apocalypse but also make you a high value target. I can honestly, in my opinion, see ground vehicles such as a truck or a car, but not a tank or other military flying vehicle. Only because being someone who just somehow found his way onto this island and being just a average human isn't going to seriously know how to operate a tank or a helicopter, like seriously... To continue on with the idea of ground vehicles, I feel that they should also have a quality such as Ruined, Damaged, Etc., that also effects there speed, and Ruined meaning that they currently do nothing now and pretty much serve only as a shield at that point. -Uses for this. Hostages, carrying more supplies out, being more mobile, having some sort of shelter from getting clothes wet, or being attacked from zombies, picking up friends as they spawn, something to get around faster in general. Various reasons. -Reasons not to be in a vehicle Mobile target, the thought that you are very well off and a worthy mark to kill, just honestly be very blatant of having a vehicle in general. -What this adds to the game for a veteran player and a new player A way to transport players, items, equipment, anything of value really back to a headquarters (which you could be possible followed to and a further extent of the game I will elaborate later on in this thread.) -Extras Make them run on gas, thus making gas stations a place to be also making them a target for bandits to setup, thus in turn making players use larger amounts of the map, in turn getting it spread out more and hot spots not only being Belota, Churno, and Electro. (Which are becoming very played out.) Make them able to be repaired, not past ruined like clothing with the sewing kit, but repairable, maybe with a super rare toolbox that eats a lot of your bag space maybe? Also making cars of value and lootable for parts to make a toolbox, in turn making crafting system a little bit more in depth. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Weapons. Do not make a crazy amount of weapons, in my opinion, only put weapons that you believe you could honestly find. Not crazy stupid stuff like smart weapons and IFRV Sights and shit. Like think about it, IFRV would be so rare in the first place. Most infantry in the US military have to request the attachment and actually pay for it in the first place. The chances of finding it in game if added should be astronomical. Don't make stupid retarded weapons like RPG's. They take high amounts of training to not actually blow yourself up in real life and they most likely will to a person who actually doesn't have the training. Grenades, understandable, pretty straight forward. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stats. Make something like a stat page you can bring up on the Escape menu, like a option. Then on that brings up stats, like distance ran, time played, zombies killed, looted weapons, food, water, medical, times applying medical to other player, other players killed. Things like that, but make them completely reset on dying or what not to make them more of a reason to survive for some players. I know I play on 40/40 servers all day and I honestly enjoy just surviving and playing in big cities and what not, and honestly just play like you are a sole survivor. In turn I really don't have anything to show for it nor anything to actually feel that or see it. This would make it more of a reason to do something you enjoy, and also make clans and what not more prestige by adding something to show that you have done something that someone else hasn't or required for joining. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shelters. Plain and simple but hard to implement without having to play on a server forever and ever which is not all possible. So maybe a external personal thing that you could connect to or what not that would have its own personal storage space. But in turn that would make it so silly and easy to gear. I honestly can't think of a way to make it server floatable and having this base. By floatable I mean you being able to switch servers all the time and have your own shelter somewhere. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Face paint. Honestly, do it. You would find this all the time in military bases knowing how commonly it is used. Adding more camo would add in a whole level of being invisible in the woods and treeline. Not to sound racist or anything but you seriously shouldn't have to play as a black guy to be invisible in the woods but it is true. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fitness. Okay, so over time and well over time, (Part of what I said earlier about being a point to live longer for stats) make vitamins, food, and running things actually build up a bar like hunger and thirst. This bar could not be there at all when you first start playing and then you start running and it slowly be more and more green until its bright green. This would take you getting food and water, staying hydrated and obviously running a lot, but if you have thirst or hunger it doesn't go up any further. Being a reason to always stay hydrated and also staying full. Also making vitamins and complete required thing as well. So it will say "Full", "Hydrated", "Fit", and "Medicated". Things like that. Keeping all bars green would be the objective. This would make you run faster and slowly be harder to bring down. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Street lights. Just because its the end of the world I still see street lights and what not at the airbase and other places that still have still have running lights. I want to see main roads and cities with lights, and lit up, making night time more playable and more in depth. Keeping to the true "Stay out of the light." Phrase about being in a zombie apocalypse. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Climb trees. Seriously you could do this all day in a zombie apocalypse. Safe to eat, drink, relax for a second, find where you are, or even snipe people from. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Snow. Make campfires and generally warm clothes give a reason to wear. Get cold, freeze to death, plain and simple. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Crafting. I want to see craftable weapons, gear, and more clothing with crafting, I want to see off the wall creative things that are imaginable and realistic. I know how to make a land mine with a shotgun shell, wrench, spring, and screw. That would be highly useful in camping and defending your shelter. I know how to make a rifle with a pipe, piece of wood, string, flint and bullet. Sure it would be one shot and take time to redo but in turn would allow you to make weapons even more rare which they would be in a zombie apocalypse. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will be adding and bumping stuff later as I play and think.   4. If there will be better zombies (totally new system will be placed), I'll say "Great" . Till then, i can't understand why they can't be fixed even if they are placeholders. Not only zombies can glitch through buildings, also players. Are all the buildings and mechanics also a placeholder? If so, why we are testing some stuff that won't be in end game? Why not they adding vehicles/tents as well then as a placeholder from previous mod, why loot spawn does not get fixed? How come they can stress test the server and whole performance client/server side without smashing more stuff around. Right it's in process and there is a Dev progress step by step, fair enough (Turtle speed) but i see not a lot of difference and dramatically better gameplay than other DayZ mods. Watched the interview of Dean and it's great what he has in his mind, but doubt that We will see those coming at the end of this year with turtle Dev speed.So instead of cheerleading, need to tap the foot and say "Come on already get serious, stop giving candy bars around." I see same kind a people in COD Community whom gone crazy of little brainwashing tools and features, yet the game was going into wrong direction and destroyed its prestige (IW series after COD4). Same for WaRZ, seen loads happy faces on forums and what happened at the end? Some guys are easily getting hyped here.

  7. This has been one of the best server i have played in and i have played in so many. There is alot of new added places to explore such as AI city's and the fun is never ending. New vehicles, weapons and challenging Ai's and of course players makes this a never dull server. Always action and things to do including some unique base's... If your looking for some fun and new experience this is the server you might want to check out!

    Private servers (locked) so I can slowly draw in my cowardly friends :) , then open it up and don't tell them. Housing of some sort so I can loot whore everything and have more of a purpose. Vehicles so we can pick one another up like a taxi service on the coast...or so someone can shoot us and take the car. haha Hunting, for sure! Always down for more gun variations.

    - Hunting - Cooking - Sickness!! (Really excited to get sick from zombies, water, other players, etc!!) - ZOMBIES - Refined (not clunky) melee system I'm probably the only one who doesn't really care about vehicles, though it'll be pretty neat once they're in I suppose. Edit: I can't count to 5. I haven't had a single issue with this since last patch. Has it at least improved in your experience?

    But ...speaking of realism...is it realistic that no soldier ever left the military base? Or didn't they cary any guns when leaving the base? And after they got infected, they ran back to the base, dropped their gun there and then ran back to the cities? There already is vehicles damaged by accident in the cities, there is Zeds in military clothing int he cities, where are their guns?

    True that, but still: it's the apocalypse, people, maybe even some military people tried to save their asses as hell is about to break loose and nothing really matters anymore anyways, left their bases and tried to hide in abandoned cities, or some convoy trying to pass a city got charged by a group of panicing residents who took them down (edit: there IS military vehicles in cities already that look like they had an accident). Maybe soldiers got infected themselves while en route to some destination... Having military gear only in military bases is somewhat logical but on the other hand, it would be logical to have that stuff somewhere else too. I'm not saying M4s should to be found everywhere like rotten fruit, but I totally like the idea of having everything randomized. It would make me look every single house in every single city, it would keep people from server hopping, and it would add a constant danger on every place as people wouldn't focus anymore on areas like airfields, military bases, elektro and so on. More thrill, more fun, more paranoia and last but not least: much less predictable looting wise and hence more happy faces when people actually find a decent gun. And again: THIS would reduce server hopping a lot imho.

    There needs to be some sort of incentive to play other then survive in a forest or gear up to kill other players. Such as building a base Stocking up your tents/vaults Building vehicles etc

    Nobody said it should be restricted to men's clothing, that's just a strawman(something your post is full of). We just want to see the clothing kept within reason. I figure at this point in the story, the only people left alive are those with survival in mind. How is a skirt going to be better than a pair of appropriately sized pants? How are girly boots going to be better than appropriately fitted shoes/boots that provide the best possible stability, traction, and protection? At the end of the day I find it quite unrealistic that people in this scenario would be placing atheistics over function. Then why is everything decrepit? Rify has rusted away. The paint on every house is faded and peeling. All the vehicles in the street are rusted. I've always gotten the impression that a good amount of time has passed since the outbreak.

    rivers and higher mountains

    I would love to see rivers and mountains in the game, especially as a way of blocking off the map rather than having the debug plains. Of course you would need to stop flying vehicles if you were to stop people from "exiting" the map.
  24. I can understand the Moto Bike helmet but others don't make sense. You can actually wear a mask with them because they have no visor at all. Who is the smartest guy ova there decided on this? IQ check again pls. Even the pilot helm hasn't got a switchable visor. So no point...Just a cheap limitation and if you are limiting all ,then means you can't do it one by one. Lack of dev skill or it is really that complicated? ...I'm amazed of the failure. Also when there will be a fix for Payday Masks ? Coz they look very stupid when you wear them with cowboy hats and berets. When there will be loot spawn fix and more zombies also wildlife and vehicles...? Coz these are only the important cores of post apocalyptic zombie survival game. 2015 or 2016? I'm a honest guy, so I'll be the bad one, you'll hate me, but all these updates are just nothing at all. Keep it up anyway as we're doomed already so who cares.
  25. yes, but strategic deaths are the fastest method to get where you want, i'd like them to add some vehicles before adding inland spawns, it already takes a shitton of boring time to run all the way from berezino to cherno
