Randomizing spawns to be map-wide would instantly out people in a mood to travel to those other, inland towns. Back in the day when Novy and Stary were spawn points, there were people all over the damn place.That doesn't get them the focused testing they want and need, however, which is why spawns are localized. If they force spawns in the NE, then people are going to have no choice but to play in that area, if only for a brief time. Svetlo and the other new town just so happen to be in the NE... There are separate teams developing entirely separate systems and mechanics, that do not, CANNOT follow the same timeline. People keep bitching that there are new clothing items (one team) but nobody hardly bitches at all about new weapons (another team) , while almost everyone bitches about zombies (yet another whole team). There are so many interconnected facets to the development but they do not and cannot all bring updates simultaneously. It just doesn't work like that. I honestly can't wait for the new zombies. I can't wait for them to fix the pathing issues. I can't wait to see a new sniper rifle, vehicles, persistent storage, and private hives. But I also realize this is in alpha and that these things all won't magically appear next wednesday just because I spent 30 bucks and DAMMIT FIX THE FUCKING GAME!!!!! -

Me too. I love the vast wood areas. On the other hand they are aiming for 100 player server with 1000s of zeds, I believe. So only having a few hotspots would be a true mass sloughter house. Idk how this is going to be. Think about helicopers and vehicles in general... Isn't the map too small for such an ammount of hostile player + zeds? Anyway, besides of all presuming, we'll see how that works. -

what limits? please explain...as there doesnt seem to be any or any potential limits. as for h1z1, i dont think its a different game. They are trying to get in onthe zombie survival genre...same shit diff dev. happens to be an interesting engine that can support hundreds of players per server, larger maps and everything the mod did+ on release... time will tell of course. breaking point - more weapons 4 maps 1 new custom built from ground up map for bp arma 3 ballistics, zoom, etc = amazing vehicles heli crash dynamic crashed c130 realistic pvp faction systems with perks (love it or hate it) i can keep going here.... considering SA is using a variant of the RV engine, and arma 3 is using rv4 engine, how can you say there are any limits?? they are using essentially the same engine ... am i right? -
wait for barricading.yeah why not and if you could broke locks of then like rob peoples safes.and if you could like move safes when vehicles are added you could put the locker on the back of car and take it with you.

Hello all forum members. This is owenr/admin of Red Dragon Gaming. We have just created a brand new Overwatch Private Server tailored to players who enjoy the Pve aspect of Dayz over the KoS they've experienced on most other servers. We have a small community of players who are VERY friendly and usually team togeether for nights of enjoyable playing over just gunning each other down just because. PvP is not outlawed by any means and we do have a few bandits on the server but for the most part it is a friendly community. We all talk on our Teamspeak server in game. We have 2 admins (myself and one other) who are active, fair and care about the server. We just moved to a new high powered VPS that means LOW ping times (dependant on location) and great frames (the hardware specs are very high). If your tired of plain jane Dayz our server offers so many custom sights and sounds, custom locations and even a brand new city. You'll never get bored even if your playing alone. Below are some of the things we offer: -Custom Player Bases with Protected bubbles - A.I. -Custom A.I. Missions -Custom A.I. This isn't a problem, you don't have to start out as a solo player to benefit from this idea. The point is to have something meaningful to do together that you actually need each other for, and perhaps if your group is small, finding additional people could speed the process up for you. Repairing vehicles in the mod can take a lot of parts depending how broken it is, but one person can still carry many parts by themselves, and given enough time could repair it alone. Same with building.. you need a lot of resources but you don't need another person. Yes, we are waiting on more things to do apart from shooting each other. Once these features come along I hope there will be some teamwork opportunities that give us a reason not to kill everyone we see, and an incentive to try build a survivor community.. or a Bambi work camp.. either way. The potential crazy situations that could come out of trying to gather a group of survivors and getting them to cooperate is exciting. This is what my idea is about. -
#1 hahahaha, I'll take a guess that you've never played the mod. Server hopping was quite common in the military bases and at the popular sniper gallery towns, there is no way to completely eliminate the problem. The timer does not remove the problem, it just slows it down at a max of 200 sec.... LOL Waste 10-20 min running to another military base or just server hop to a dead server in order to obtain military loot. As for the loot re-spawn system, not excited about it. Every military base is going to look just like this picture. Having player locked servers eliminates server hopping entirely, it forces the player to be dedicated to a server. What is even more funny, is how narrow minded players such as you are. * What happens when persistent storage items are introduced to the servers, you're going to dedicated your time to store items on a specific server. * What happens when persistent vehicles are are introduced to the servers, you're going to dedicated your time to that vehicles in both fixing / traveling. * What happens when persistent farming is added, same story, you're dedicated to a single server. What happens when that server is removed? * you lose everything. Now of course what players have done in the past is make "warehouse servers", aka a clans server. Server hopping at this stage is quite different. * Players hop servers to find player bases, it's quite common in the mod and I am sure it will happen again, thanks to the public hive. -------------- Player locked servers forces players to actually travel around the map in the hopes of both finding players and engaging in fair pvp. The solution is quite simple. Keep the public hive for the server hopping community, but introduce a character locked server system as-well for those people who actually want to play fair. * Public Hive * Private Hive * Character locked Servers

Besides stuff they've confirmed like vehicles, barricading, camp building, storage, etc... 1)Really deep, complex health, injury and stamina mechanics. So it's not just "Dead/Unconscious", but a range of injuries that can be treated and nursed. Lengthy recovery times for injuries, and effects accordingly to your movement capability and nutritional intake (for illnesses). More detailed wound dressings that you have to maintain. Stuff like that. Make looking after your character's health your no.1 priority. 2) more realistic inventory system - separate pockets, rather than large, linked "slots" that we have now. Factor in weight and bulk and make it affect your dexterity and stamina, etc. So if you want to gunfight, you have go light to be more effective. Make it so you can't carry rifles or melee weapons on your back unless you have crafted a strap. More craftable bags, pouches, etc. in general. 3) better melee combat, so it's more static and not 2 guys sprinting circles round each other like some sort of fucked up game of tag. And fix the damage values so other weapons besides axes are actually useful (and fists aren't so stupidly powerful). 4) More plentiful and different types of radios, so you can make contact with randoms in your server more easily and at a much bigger range. 5) Padlocks and chains so you can secure doors (could be breakable with hacksaw or axe or whatever) 6) boobie-traps (combine with lockable doors, as above, to discourage people from nicking stuff you are trying to store!) EDIT: sorry, you said "top 5"! er... 5 and 6 are the same item, so yeah, that's only 5, really.

Thank you, people, for your constructive input. Moved to Mod section. Restarts on ARMA 2 and DayZ Mod are needed to clean up everything, that's not needed anymore. Unlike other systems, ARMA 2 servers don't really flush any of their unused date, which is why they are extremely fast and potent upon restart, but from that point onwards lose performance and FPS, which also affects the clients. All of this gets removed upon restart. In short: It cleans up dead bodies, Zombies, Loot and all of that. It does, however, not affect the tents / vehicles / buildings. Actually had my computer running for about 14 days straight the other week and didn't mention any performanceloss whatsoever. -

You should be able to take down everything depending on how rigid it is. It takes a veeeery long time though. I didn't test it but a buddy told me it's already pretty difficult to tear down a wood wall with a sledge hammer. Firearms tend to transfer more energy through the wall than into the wall so shooting a wall is just not worth the time and bullets at all. Better wait for the owners to come back and ambush them when they open the gates. Of course you can crash something into it ( aircraft ) with the risk of destroying everything that is destroyable inside in the process ( destroyed half a 25x25m 2 story building and 75% of the vehicles inside when our helo bounced of the ceiling one time ), i doubt you will survive the force if you try to crash a car in the wall if it actually does damage the wall. -
we need more military guns. like really whats up with all the people going CIVILLIAN GUNS PLZ um no, take a look around champ there's zombies. like of course there will be civillian guns but there will probably be WAY more military guns around. don't you think that the first thing to happen would be the military and law enforcement come with their autos to gun down as many zombies as possible? because i sure as hell do. this would be everywhere. trucks with ma deuce's on the top, ok maybe since it's more eastern, UAZs with like, dushkas or KORDs mounted, maybe URALs filled to the brim with supplies abandoned in the mud out in the forest that were going to the big cities to save the people, (or kill them), so like AK74s and stuff, since the CDF aren't the most well equipped. but hell, they got post soviet equipment. maybe, maybe there would be an ever so rare T72 in a garage in a real military BASE somewhere. there could be an actual military BASE. like an encampment. but it would have so much loot, maybe vehicles but it would also be jam packed with those helmet zombies. ya know, the ones that take like 4 m4 shots to take out? those ones. there should be abandoned military vehicles like all over towns. uazs and urals mostly, maybe a few T72s with no fuel or broken treads, something that would make the crew abandon the vehicle only to be slaughtered by the zombies. (of course, not repairable because that would be op xd!! well, actually i don't think almost anyone would know how to repair it.) this would also bring us to another weapon. either the RPG-18 or RPG-7. two EXTREMELY common military launchers on a nation like chernarus. ever seen a video of syrian rebels? an RPG-7 can take out a T-72 with 2 or 3 rockets. hit the fuel, hit the side, that things gonna be shooting liquid fire out of the turret. the crew would become roasted marshmellows. but all they would know is "You Are Dead." hell, of course you would have to know how to use like, a tank in real life to be able to use it in game, itw ouldn't just be 2 people moving their mouses pressing WASD. you'd have to probably re-stock the thing to keep it going, refuel, rearm, repair. in conclusion, without a moment to spare, we need way more military weaponry. this game needs to be more militarized. not like, overly militarized. a T72 should be a very rare sight. like, very rare. i don't want 50 cals snipers other than like a KSVK. cuz that thing's pretty cool. B) swag. and please, i hope you've actually read this before you post a reply like "hell no this is stupid." please give a reason why not. i'd love to see why people agree (or disagree) with me. edit: i apologize for the tags, i don't want that much western weaponry. maybe m14s.
