    Vehicle parts random

    Man I'd wiped and replaced types and another config file with vehicleparts amd has the same issue with wreked vehicles. For exmple I was quite pleased to see the wheel instead the trunk on Ivolgha (Gaz24 aka CivilianSedan) at the edge of Chernarus Tisy car wrecked column. So I guess they didn't met it coz didn't performed wipe of dynamic_**.bin that's why loot isn't yet updated on their servers. I have an idea how to solve it but I need to check it before write it here.

    Vehicle parts random

    Hello friends. Yesterday my server updated to 1.23. Then I did a wipe deleting the "storage_1" folder and apparently everything was fine. After that, I deleted the backup of 1.22 (thinking and everything seemed fine in 1.23), made a new backup of 1.23 and we started playing. Suddenly we realized that vehicle parts almost do not appear on their corresponding vehicles, and instead they appear distributed throughout the map, regardless of the type of construction... they just appear in a garage, in a house or inside a vehicle, it is very random and it is very uncomfortable, really. At first I thought it was a change from version 1.23 but some players who have played on other servers have reported to me that this only happens here. Not only that, a while ago I saw a train spawned in kamiwobo that had the cars tilted and stuck in the ground. It is clear that something is not working well, and it is strange... omega manager did the entire update automatically and without errors. Please, can someone who understands help me? I'm new to this and I don't understand programming or anything like that. I need help, please. Thank you.

    A little question about the new update

    They said there will be map wipes, not characters — so everything on the map will be wiped, including vehicles, to my understanding.

    How vehicles spawn work?

    Hi, i would like to know how works the vehicles spawn system. I set a high number of 4x4 to spawn, and set only 3 spawnpoits on eventsspawnpoints xml file, but only spawn 2 cars, and 1 spawn gets empty. Later i set the desired points that i want to spawn 30 4x4, but i am flying with the admin tool to check if spawns and i cant see anything at spawns.. Is it bugged or how it works?     Usable Vehicles

    I realize the current stable build has many issues at the moment and the focus of the devs should be to stabilize before the release next month, but one thing I would like to see, at some point, is a change in the philosophy of the vehicle spawns. Since there are only a limited number of vehicles spawning, I think the state they are in is a bit harsh. I found one last night on the east side of the map, but it was basically missing everything. I searched the surrounding area for about half an hour and found only one tire. I still needed everything else (3 more tires, spark plug, etc.) You teased us with those Stress Tests where we were able to drive cars without looting anything -- now, the pendulum has swung completely the other way and getting a car actually working seems ridiculously difficult. I think most of the cars should spawn with only a limited number of things missing and have a small percentage chance (say 25%) that it spawns ready to drive. Given the stamina system, having working vehicles needs to be more of a thing than it is now -- I don't expect every vehicle to work every time, but I should be able to approach it, see that all it's missing is one, maybe two things and boom -- I'm excited -- I now have a new primary goal for this DayZ session (beyond staying alive, of course) that seems achievable -- find those couple of things and I'm in business. As it stands now, I walk up to a vehicle, see that it's missing more than half of its required components (and in some cases, is missing everything) and I simply move along. I should have to spend only a small amount of time on looking for vehicle components, not my entire session. Please consider dialing back the harshness of the vehicle spawns at some point in a future patch. Thanks for reading this.

It will happens on all servers, because of loot points updating and moving objects (you know any stuff in air (everywhere on the ground, loot is everywhere in every sight and evey sound... P.S. Sorry remembered that song xD)). But under wipe i guess will only loot stuff not the buildings and containers and vehicles. Mechanics would be quite simple - when server would updated dynamic_XX.bin and cause the wipe to null. Or would be with script part resetted by positions (set lifetime to 0 for each object in range, that would cause the server to remove objects that has 0 lifetime) and in both cases version of servers database would be update to upper value. But the database of characters (contains inside sepparate part of DB would be untouched AND WHILE YOU HAVE A CHANCE GET OUT FROM NWAF, WHILE YOU CAN!!!). Anyway we shall await for updating. We can guessing but we'll never know what's state will choose the DayZ Developers Team.

  12. I am not sure how to attach the parts correctly to vehicles in .63/Beta and looking for some guidance if possible. Okay i have a wrench, screwdriver, car battery, radiator, and spark plug, 4 tires and a 4x4 vehicle. Car wont start with the parts in it. I try and put the parts in the car the inventory has circles with a cross through it over each part. I tried combining various parts with the either of the two tools nothing happens. Both with the part in hand or the tool in hand first. I try and go to where the part (not in inventory and in inventory) is to be put in the vehicle with either of the tools nothing happens. (Both with part in car and in my bag). Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks

    How do I make vehicles appear on the coast? I've tried the cfgeventspawns.xml but I still don't get it What are these values compared to the given picture <pos x="10967.148438" z="5494.307616" a="125.181313" /> What is "a" https://imgur.com/a/1QGM9Xl In that image, which is X, which is Z and what is A, which I thought was supposed to be the Y? Very confusing.

  20. yes i absolutely agree the game was more "immersive" before 1.0. but i have a hard time imagining that this would be acceptable on console. the reason why this is not a brainhemoraging issue on pc is because the mouse allows you to reasonably correct the sway associated with the gun being disconnect from the camera. now imagine this on console with trying to achieve this with just thumbsticks. that seems like a very frustrating experience in my mind. and if you dont believe me try and pick up "hunt showdown" for console sometime and try it. it doesnt have everything that dayz had but at the least it 100% has no aim assist and just that alone is enough to basically destroy that game. which i played myself to know and couldnt believe it until i saw it. but now imagine that with a gun swaying all over the place and trying to fight sway AND recoil with just thumbsticks. its just unreasonable and a completely unenjoyable experience on any level. which is why it wont ever come to console because the controller itself is unable to accompany that level of engagement to gameplay that doesnt become overtly frustrating. but yet all of these features that you identified are important to the game. Why? because they are REALITY. that IS real. and without them your brain cannot lull itself into even beginning to think that the game could may just be reality. which as an effect takes you out of the game and makes you treat it and feel it as "just a game" instead of FEELING like it is real life. you can not hope to achieve the feeling of " this is really reality" in a video game if you dont follow the rules of reality. things like physics, vehicles motion, sounds, MOVEMENT! etc etc. all pieces of the puzzle that must resemble reality for you mind to be tricked into feeling and emotionally reacting to the game AS IF it were actually real. which is why arma 2 is such a great testament to gaming because it achieved just that and consequentially created one of the deepest most emotionally responsive experiences in gaming that has ever been created.

  22. Gets my vote - should be able to add stock Camo nets to vehicles while stationary. Need not touch the ground but do need to take them off to interact with doors etc. I like the idea that adding it to the Truck changes the cover skin of the tarp only but you still need to take it off to drive - that's a bit trickier to implement mind you. Maybe it just covers the cab instead and, as someone else said in another post, a craftable truck cover from two Camo nets for a Camo net cover replacement can also be added to the truck as a permanent feature (I already liked that post!!)
