HFB Camo / Ghillie suit problem fixed

So I'm assuming that this is why I had to manually start my server back up this morning? I can confirm that vehicles/tents and everything saved. Just make sure you rename your server back to what it was because mine was defaulted. I also noticed that the control panel said both updates were not installed. Should I have not installed them again? -
Well there be that, but there already the capacity for, trenches for example, could be used to force particular routes of entry for vehicles, but ive also seen discussions/threads on trip wires which open up a variety of potential booby traps from IEDs to blunt force trauma, or even alarm systems (imagine if a trap was somehow linked to a noisy object like a rape alarm or egg timer that once ye set the trap ye became attached or entangled in a rope or thread holding the device attracting zeds from all around) i dunno pretty random 24+ awake hours suggestions dribbling out :S I just like the idea of creating a trap mechanic that allows peeps to be creative with setting up traps, it would at least ensure that there were not repetitive processes for disarming them that would allow more experienced users to easily identify the skins and or animations. :( Hmmm i dunno if this game is going the way eve went tbh. IT really depends on where the game direction is really going. Although ive seen a presentation rocket gave about where he said that the actual survival aspect of the game was more important necessarily from the zombies (they were just a apocalyptic scenario) which, if were following that direction solely, it might not make room for ideas like this. But he also seems to be very much interested in the idea of permafixtures, and players almost making their mark on a server and manipulating the environment. I think requires what ive peeps have been discussing related to this thread, but the whole purpose of these activities is survive zeds. I dunno if anything as far money will develop, trade of items and services, sure, but i dont think money will come back into it. I dont think youll see that kind of evolution of gameplay - ingame - in DayZ. Im not too sure though, have ye further thoughts on how this would function if zeds were consistant? And tbh given the server numbers (there should be less) it might conflict with the way average direction in gameplay develops then EVE.

^^^ This is starting to Piss me off. Mate, thousands of people keep posting this. Try searching the forums. SERVER ADMINS DO NOT HAVE THE POWER TO TELEPORT OR SPAWN GEAR VEHICLES. It would have been a hacker/scripter.

The problem i see with this, is that while yes, a lot of these came from duping... I fear even more came from spawning these items in. I have seen multple cases, where a person (same one) is sniping from the roof of electro, he gets killed (his body had an extra ghillie suit+coyote 24pack+AS50+NVG+rangefinder+GPS+DMR) and i am not kidding, less than 7 minutes goes by, he's already in the exactly same spot, with EXACTLY same loadout. And not like he alt+F4'd out of dying and his body was duped, no, he received a .50cal bullet to the head... With people teleporting others/spawning in weapons/vehicles (always nice to see an APC rolling down Electro) there is no point of that reset, just yet.. All reset will accomplish is give you 99,000 pissed people, 40,000 of whom will find all needed for survival in first 30 minutes anyways, and 1,000 pricks who'll spawn that crap in and drive off in a spawned vehicle

Now i am all for a full reset. All vehicles all tents all characters reset. Everyone starts from scratch. Before everyone gets all in arms about this first let me state. I have several tents with helicopter gear, several vehicles loaded also. I doubt I'd be losing the most in the game but I'm certainly not a player that would not be losing allot. Fact is a month ago when i would kill someone at NW they might have 1 super rare item (M4A1 SD, Night Vision, GPS, etc.) or none. Now when I kill someone like 1/2 the time they are loaded with like all this stuff. I know people have learned better where to find items but the pure abundance of the stuff is obviously from the duping (both purposeful and accidental). In my opinion waiting for Beta or Stand-alone would make allot of the testing in this experiment until then be bad data and near useless so this should not wait. Rocket has already said the tent amount is causing issues.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD FIX THE TENTS!!! I have resorted to using my communities Ural to store my gear because NOTHING saves after a restart. I have used multiple tents and multiple steps to prevent this from happening with no luck. I have to put my gear in my community ural, which is not safe at all. For 1 it is big and blue so the chances of it and my ggear being stolen are pretty good. Also, everything in the vehicles is shared community loot. So my members just take all my shit. Please hurry and fix this, I would like to be able to collect gear. -
Server: PA 2 - Full name shown in screenshots. Time: 10:40am est Report: Around 10:30am est or so me and a friend had just started heading back towards the NWAF after retrieving medical supplies from Berenzino. We were traveling via motorcycle. As we rounded one of the dirt roads just outside the airfield wall we came under heavy machine gun fire. Obviously, we got killed. We originally thought this was just a good ambush, seeing how close we were to a danger zone such as NWAF. We re-spawn in our respective areas and notice half of the cities are on fire and there are vehicles and items everywhere. Then we notice an individual named GioLeo teleporting to our locations and either, killing us, spawning a vehicle on us, or spawning in items. I created a little photo album of his adventures as he tormented me after my spawn at Elektro. He continued griefing players on the server, even losing connection and rejoining under the same name to continue. http://imgur.com/a/MLcAC#5

I was in one of those groups and we had a camp of several vehicles and tents set up on your server. We lost an awful lot of stuff from not only people getting killed during the mass killing but also all of the vehicles and tents were removed. We have since moved server and have a camp with a few vehicles set up on another server now so it is unlikely we would come back and I realise it isn't your fault that this happened. The hacking is ruining the game for players like us who like to set up on a single server. -
Isn't it possible that other players have them hidden at their camps? I've always heard that each server only spawns a certain number of each vehicle type so if everyone finds them and tucks them away somewhere then that means no more vehicles at their original spawn points. I'm not saying this is a sure thing, just a thought. I know the group I play with never seems to find a vehicle at an actual spawn point, its always way out in the wilderness with lots of loot stored in it.

I've been involved in building big camps. I've been involved in raiding camps too. If you think that's a big haul, there are ones out there a lot lot bigger. I've had three large camps I was involved in building raided simultaneously, and all our vehicles found/stolen/destroyed, by just 2 players in the space of 2 hours. With the current state of the alpha, camps are just like your personal equipment. Don't get attached. Fun to build and stock, but in the long run, they'll be discovered, destroyed, or bugged to death. Same with vehicles. Yesterday, I did a little exploring and discovered 3 small camps in just a few hours. Obviously the personal stashes of small groups of players, maybe no more than 2 or 3 strong. Rather than raiding or destroying, I used them to restock, taking nothing that would indicate that they had been found. I'll be using them for restocking when fresh respawning on the coast from now on ... or at least until I am discovered, or someone else finds and destroys them. I prefer being a ninja to being a bulldozer. -
Wait you're complaining that people hoard vehicles at the very same time that your group is attempting to hoard vehicles? Brilliant flow of logic there.

I'm the server owner and we have the Ural, a Hatchback, 2 bikes and 1 motorbike. In an effort to try to find more vehicles a group of 5 of us just spent 4.5 hours on foot running through all the vehicle spawn points located on the http://dayzdb.com/map We were not able to hit all of the vehicle spawns obviously, but we did hit about 10 of them. We came up with ZERO vehicles. Cmon... this is rediculous. This is not new. This is an every day occurance. I am 90percent confident that some of the vehicles may be bugged, spawned outside of the map, or forgotten in the lost wilderness somewhere. I heard stories of server companies re-setting the vehicle spawns. But our company said they can not do that. What can I do?

Due to a bug all tents and vehicles dupe gear -> a lot more elite gear to go around all the time... As far as I know, if you don't save a tent/vehicle in this build, once server restarts, the tent/vehicle will revert to the original inventory it had when last saved. I keep finding these tent villages that are most of the time full of gear. Luckily there is a new build around the corner <3 ... Remember to empty and save all tents you encounter ;) -
Are Hackers only seen by PVPer's?

The truth is; every single cheater/hacker/scripter is one too many. The biggest problem is that most people have no idea what the difference is... Right now we see a lot of no-lifers who use scripts to get more then the game would allow, like top-grade weapons, vehicles and other stuff which aren't even a part of the DayZ mod (see this a lot!). Lately there are also a lot of reports of players who use scripts/cheats to teleport players, or kill them instantly while on the other side of the map (not yet seen myself, but YT has enough proof). Real hackers (who "hack" into the computers/server) aren't in DayZ or any other game, DDOS-attackers at most. And another fact; the more we cry about those kids, the more they like it and the less we enjoy our game... So let's play some DayZ and don't worry about your beans (too much). Have fun! -
I dont mind ideas being thrown in randomly matey, i just enjoy developing ideas XD I remember having a similiar discussion bout this on that electric grid thread (i think) i saw ye posting on XD I think if groups were at the point that they were exercising this level of control over facilities, or for example the police station/prison. Then they would at least have to have the capacity to effectively "clear" the surrounding areas of zeds, and some how enabling some mechanic which prevented zeds spawning (once an area had been fortified or such n such conditions met) although this is looking at the game from a point of view were zombie spawns are much higher, and also hordes of zeds have been introduced. so although you clear an area out, zombies for the various reasons of attraction (noise, movements inside or to and from the base) accumulates ALOT of zeds. And i think this is something that should apply to peeps own customized forts/base building far away from towns. So you always have a flow of zeds piling up at the gates and walls. I think the Police stations structural integrity would be sound, and i think yea there would have to be some kind of lockable door (boltable from the inside) which would also give extra security but still not completely prevent the ambitions of a wannabe terminator. But any extra fortifications, would be built at the groups discretion, whether they wanted to extend this out to wall off a "car park" or block off a street and create an entrance (maybe suitable for either people or vehicles), is dependable on the groups size, preference, interests, and possible threats from other groups setting up (maybe within the same town). I think anywhere peeps set up forts or control over areas should attract zombies, as it very much constantly maintains the apocalyptic nature of the world you have to balance your activities with :)

My new hobby (as some of you may know) is finding hoarder camps and redistributing to nubs/people who don't KoS. We find probably 2 big-ish (roughly 3 or more vehics counts as big-ish) camps a night on various servers in 2-3 hours, so in the last few weeks we've had our fair share of big camps. We've got it down to a science now, it's amazing how common it is for people to hide things in the same spots. With amazing reliability. Like you could almost give grids for each "camp spawn" (that's what we call them they're that reliable) along the north of the map. It's insane. What's the biggest one you've ever found? From memory mine was about 12 vehicles, 3 of them Urals, about 30 tents each paaaacked to the brim with shit. I think that camp had about 14 AS50's in total, 12 MK48's, 13 Ghillies, about 15 NVG's, 15 M4 CCO SD's, 52 SD mags (no joke), 60+ M107 mags, tons and tons of vehicle bits, the lot. It had every single item in game at least once. Tons and tons of bear traps (which we placed *all*, around 30 of them, around the camp for a night before stealing it all for teh lulz). I have this problem as well. Search yielded only this result, for this predicament. I presume the "use search broksi" thread has since been removed. What's the situation here? You both are really stupid or somewhat retarded, I keep having to repeat myself. Server is set to restart every so often while I am out or away, Admins cannot spawn items or vehicles as the only commands they have is Kick & Ban, Speaking of Clowns, I already said, your comments/suggestions are not accounted for as you are no way related to this thread. Innocent until proven guilty, we have done nothing wrong, the only issue is the fact that you shot at us, server crashed a few minutes later, and you expect that it was us to blame, when you can't even provide proof of your accusations. If you cannot make proper accusations with genuine proof, don't make any at all because its wasting everyones time.

Me and my buddy were talking yesterday and it would be really cool if vehicles came with a key and has to have the key to start it. But on the other hand add a hot wire kit on a rare-ish spawn so if people want to steal your vehicle from your camp they cant just walk up and take it after you spent 2 hours fixing it up.

Okay I'm just wondering if we as a group have anyone with vehicles on hand for supply runs or stop off areas that are held for medics that have supplies ? Just wondering if not then i was thinking of getting a few people together to locate and secure some forms of transport.
