1. ALWAYS bring one more mag - even if you travel light. 4 mags is a new minimum for me (ask yourself: do I have enough ammor to shoot out the tires/driver of a moving vehicle). Yesterday I spent 60 shots with my semiautomatic M14 in a lengthy squad firefight w. vehicles. 2. COVERING CORPSES. If you have killed part of your enemies' squad or your friends have been killed, find a vantage point to cover the corpses and wait for your enemies to come loot. They WILL come sooner or later, and when they do, wait for them to sit and take the 100% shot(s). Keep in mind that they are likely to ghost in next to the corpses, so stay very alert. 3. GRENADES. Hold the button when firering a handgrenade to give it range. Remember handgrenades will bounce off the thinnest coniffer branches and kill you or your teammates more often than your enemies. 4. SNIPER HILL. You best chance of finding good gear on a new spawn is on the sniper hill by Elektro. Get a gun and make your way up there from behind. On high population servers, snipers will very often be lying in wait there. Shoot them in the back and take their loot. You'll find corpses there too (sometimes not looted).

What I have already said? Think boarded up buildings, dead bodies of men and women fending off the zombie hordes, more realistically spaced out wrecks and raod blocks along the roads and open fields, carcasses of dead, eaten animals, people in the fields and forests, traces of battle between the military and the zombies, command posts where the officers have made a desperate last stand, burning vehicles, buldings, objects. I mean just imagine the possibilities :)

server is full of hackers, Here's a video from last night around 1-4 in the morning my guess is around 2am Call of Dayz , Skeet , and all of RGB are using exploits hacks and cloning gear not to mention vehicles. They will accuse all other players who challenge them. they try and hide behind the "private hive" but if i were you KEEP AWAY from this server . I agree with a reset. It could just be a map reset so the players and whatever loot they have on them remain untouched but all tents and vehicles are wiped. But I'd be happy with a total wipe too.

Just keep mouse wheeling around it until you find the spot, and make sure the jerry can has fuel in it. Mouse wheel down and hit save Vehicles don't move servers

As far as i know this car here http://i157.photobucket.com/albums/t41/h290master/arma22009-08-2617-26-38-15.jpg is in the game and can be found as all other vehicles ingame means you need a lot of luck and nothing more.

trust me its US 941 northwest corner of the map. i logged in, destroyed all the vehicles. server restarts so i wait a while and log in and destroy all their vehicles again.

What I did when joining with friends was click on the 'Launch' button on Six Launcher and use the server browser in game to find the servers. This worked for me and my friend, and if you type in the server name into the filter, you should both get the same results :) MY problem, however, is that yesterday I played on the same server, and had a vehicle etc, and you know vehicles are server specific - it was all good yesterday, but now when i filter for the server name, i can't find it! I don't want to lose my vehicle! Any tips on what i can do? Avant did you say that it worked if you connected via IP? Thanks

Though you cannot paint your ride, there are multiple random skins for vehicles. I would not think a police car-esque skin would be too implausable to find.

I don't think it will ever get boring, until they add more stuff to do in the game other than "find gun, kill everyone". If I had some means of protecting my gear, vehicles, and such... like I don't know say, a lock and key... then really there's no point in collecting anything more than you need to shoot the fuck out of the server. Pity it reduced to this so quickly, I was enjoying myself doing other fun stuff for a while... the general sourness of the community has pretty much forced me to play this way though, since there's no use in trying to play "properly" when everyone else is doing this incredibly fun stuff. ~Sol

Repost! Negged. Don't remember any misc admins ever restarting a server while you guys were flying a chopper on purpose. I don't think we even knew you had a chopper. Old server had shitton of problems and it was always restarted often. Or it simply kept crashing. Although now we have another reason for restarts, Plenty of hackers come to the servers and randomly kill or break peoples legs. Usually targeting the misc guys with vehicles. I got killed by one three times while fixing the chopper few days ago. xD As for clan wars, I recall few callout threads between clans and usually they bring lulz and drama. Shitton of drama. Keep in mind misc is not a clan but simply bunch of people from the same forum. Anyone from forums can join so we can't be all responsible for any assholes or hackers. The forum admin only threatened to ban miscers hacking/duping not miscers wanting to fight you guys. And lulz at butthurt phaggots accusing both groups for hacks. You mad rocket ain't gonna do shit about this?

I would advise you to please take a look at some zombie movies or series (i.e Dawn of the Dead or the Walking Dead). The zombies would grow everywhere and they would try to fiercly fend them off with everything they've got. Think boardplanked buildings, more dead bodies, burned out buidlings, tanks in the streets, crasched vehicles and whatnot...

This is retarded. Basically you have two choices. On the one hand, the guy who sets up a server you are currently playing on gets a little bit more information on who is doing what in his server, such as who killed who, and may or may not use that information to ban people. Admins can kick people right now, it just takes some guess work, and may lead to the wrong guy getting kicked. Worst case, you get a server with a bad admin who does, what? There's no chat log. You can't get into an argument. So he does what, bans you? For stealing his hoard of canned beans? Go to another server. Now on the other side, you've got some a-hat script punk who goes onto a server that he had no part in setting up or paying for who then starts spawning vehicles, teleporting you into walls, and can't be killed. And he can jump from server to server to spread the fun and do it without being traced. If you'd prefer that over giving admins some more information on potential cheaters, then go soak your head.

This is interesting, because I never say we're an elite unit anywhere. Actually I do say were a "third rate group of Spetsnaz that are probably shitfaced more often than not". I figured you'd like my little server admin announcement to welcome the man that put a price on my peoples heads. -Ghosting, my guys don't do that. OK so here's my epic story... I'll try to paraphrase it otherwise we'll both be here all day. This took place in entirety over about 3-4 days of actual play. We had like, 10+ hour sessions from Fri-Sun over the weekend much to the displeasure of my wife. Team up with two friends, it's night. We move through Cherno almost immediately and manage to kit out with some OK guns. We head north (since I'd never even made it off the beach prior to this) and so through some small towns, looting and killing zombies. We make it to Stary Sober and find the skoda. After a few hours of scavenging and sneaking around we repair the car that was kindly pre loaded with guns. we make off north again in our new car until we find a suitable camping area. Next we all decide to scout for fuel since the car was low and we had like 4 empty jerry cans. We all decide to head to the NW airfield since we are camped somewhere nearby. We've never been there before but logic prevails that airfields have fuel and it was our best shot. After a few hundred zombies later and a bunch of new guns we get fuel and decide to head to Cherno again since we are now pretty low on medical supplies. We drive there in the night, and hide the car about 500m out. We decide to loot the hospital and one of our team gets killed by a guy in the apartments across the street. I take some hits and fall unconscious while my last friend manages to bandage me and give me a transfusion. As soon as I'm all fixed, I see the perp running off. I shot him with my 12 guage slug but only winged him, and he vanished. We threw my friends gear in the car and went to pick him up. After recovering him we went to drive back to camp and end our day, only to flip the car over on a washing machine just past Pavolo. We knew the car would flip back over on server restart so we left. End of day 1. As soon as one of us woke up after the previous marathon night, the car was still there (and now right side up) and there happened to be some random dude pilfering through the gear. My axe said hello but I somehow missed and he was startled. He had a double barreled pointed at me, but he ran off almost immediately. I think he was out of ammo, and he was standing next to an upside down red skoda surrounded by piles of zombie corpses, to be freaked the fuck out by a guy with an axe. I noticed after that some wheels were damaged and that's the only reason the car was still there. 5 hours later we finally found some wheels and off we went. Shortly after arriving at camp again, we decided to do an airfield run again, since now we needed fuel and spare parts. Great idea until half way back the server did another random weird reboot, not only causing us to loose the gear we got from all the way back at the hospital and the airfield run we just did (yes we saved the car many many times in between), but three tires were flat again. After a couple more hours of wheel searching and several more server reboots, everything was just gone including our tents and other vehicles. They came back again after several more reboots and the wheels I had repaired were broken again. I gave up, and that ended day 2. The next day someone else had repaired the car before we could get to it... my friend died somehow from the server rebooting so much, and so I decided to go pick him up once again, this time using the dirt bike. On the way I found our little red skoda, crashed headlong into, you guessed it, a washing machine. Two tires broken... luckily my friend had found one already... only one more to get. After a nice drive in the dark with no lights (lucky my monitor is awesome, so even with default gamma values I can KINDA see in the dark a little bit) I picked him up. We got all excited about getting the car back finally and decided to just write off the last bad events and carry-on. On the way back towards camp, and our car which was now up around Vybor area, I stopped to check the map briefly just north of Pustoshka. I pulled just off to the side of the road and stopped. I checked the map for about 5 seconds then heard it... pewpewpewpew a silenced weapon less than 30m away, mowing us both down with two wheels in our packs, our car just up the road, and our motorcycle now lying on it's side, motor still running. That was the end of it all. It's not even that though, which makes me change my play style. I was happy enough to die there (even though I was annoyed like FUCK) because I knew if I was in that dudes shoes, I would have killed me too because we had a motorbike and he didn't. At least he would have been like "FUCK YEAH", and had a legit reason to do it... even though had he been friendly he would have had access to all our other shit too (which is now somewhere in US 1192 in the forest, north-west of the NW airfield) but that's another story in itself. What did change me however, is reading the forums and realising I'm fighting a useless battle, and to make life easier on myself I'll become what I hate. I'm not blaming the community at all, they just made it obvious that what I was doing was wrong. ~Sol

Its called having a vehicle with ammo in it. Did you not read the whole "This was edited from 4+ HOURS OF GAMEPLAY. There was 20+ minutes between the first and second time we tried killing the chopper because we all had to rearm at our vehicle. There was then another 30 minutes between the second and third time because we were all waiting for the guys with the satchel charges to get there. Just because you dont have a team to play with who loads their vehicles up with the all the ammo they find, doesnt make everyone else a hacker.

Reading through most of these posts, I think it's awesome you found all of those vehicles. And did what you did for your friends. But, when you come to the community forums and act like this, That's pretty bad. Your ability to communicate with other people via a forum is awful, and needs work.

I am also looking for a tactical group. A RL friend and I have become proficient at finding, repairing, and driving vehicles. We have stored many but eventually lose them due to lack of man power. We have the same goals. Let me know whats up. Skype: Omdubs

Wow thats funny because we don't die that much and if we do we try to get to a closer location. A recruit grabbed the chopper (of what I know) and crashed it because he was a derp. We restart to help maintain stuff ya know? We say you're a bad man because you are trying to get info on us so we consider you bad :P. Most of us don't alt+f4 or server hop when in a fight. The ones that do usually get yelled at (that is if they ghost). Honestly I know no one that dupes in CQF and script spawned vehicles get deleted after a server restart (killed a hacker stole the vehicle and yeah that's how I found out). Elektro is always camped with snipers, so could be anyone. Shot 'em with a 1 shot gun so they don't need to alt+f4 because you can't alt+f4 a dead body ^_^ That good enough for ya? XD

Your group sounds just like the group of people I play with. Most of us are in our twenties, and we play together, though we're not a clan. We have a couple of vehicles and good gear. Private message me if you want to join us on teamspeak.

So to make this short me and a couple friends play this game and are looking to group up with some other people for the hell of it. We see all the guild/clan posts here on forums but we don't think we want to go that route because some groups just go way too hard. We just like to have fun example: I like to get vehicles going and picking up strangers lol. We're probably more bandtis than anything but we usually give someone a chance to answer us before we shoot. we are in our 20's, central time zone, and play late at night most the time. Separate your video into two parts: Effectiveness against zombies and the second part for humans. If needed, have a third part for stopping vehicles, if that weapon is particularly well-known for blowing up cars. Stuff you should talk about in the vid: Gun's range(as in when damage or bullet's accuracy starts to decrease, and when the bullet disappears altogether) # of hits needed to kill a zombie and human How much blood is lost per bullet shot Zeroing capabilities if applicable Accuracy Recoil, and thus, recoil controlling methods(tap fire, burst fire how many shots and how frequently to burst, full auto, etc.), which includes a lot more than just going prone or crouching. Scope zoom(x1.5? x4? x8?) Aesthetics(i.e. Iron sight, how sexy the gun looks, etc.) Rate of fire(RPM, or time it takes to empty a mag is also acceptable, since you can calculate time needed to shoot each bullet after the last from that number) Loudness/Stealthiness Ammo synergy(i.e. Ak rounds can be shared with other teammates that use an Ak that isn't the AKM), combination(Double Barrel), splitting(R870, M1014), or versatility(Think PDW's ability to use 6 different mag types) Crosshair spread, crosshair recovery time(How long it takes for crosshairs to settle back into the original position) Usefulness/plausability, when is it proper to use this gun, and how versatile is it in different situations.

vehicles should be traceable in some way (maybe gps update every x hours), that would make it much harder to hide them and give some more motivation to search for them. now with the problem to even find them, it makes no sense to make hiding even easier.. if they wouldn't always be caught and brought to some places outside the normal playing areas, I think a hiding option maybe worth a discussion.

Me and a friend were camp raiding and found a camp with alot of vehicles (like 10-20) about 30 tents and some with hacked weapons like PDW sd, aks(golden) and g36 We dont have any player names and we left the server imidiatly after we found out it was hacked. The coordinates for the camp is 127005 (and it would be good if you deleted the coordinates after you have approved this post, and if you dont, i wanna say to the players who want to go there and loot, taking hacked weapons can put your account at great risk, so i recommend you not to)
