So I'm driving down Northwest Airfield in a pickup I just stole from some major base which had 9+ vehicles. See no zombies, think everything is cool. Proves to be true until I hit the southeast most part of the airfield where I see a guy in a ghillie being all sneaky and the like except he is in the open. So I'm just roaring down at 108 until I hit the grassy patch where he is and I drop to 10-15ish. The guy doesn't see me and I'm going for the roadkill. Get up to 15 on a straight and hit the guy who turns to see me at the last moment but doesn't have time to move. I Hear his legs break and am about to drive off figuring he is at the VERY LEAST unconscious and about to bleed out and aware he may have some mates. I'm backing up because I got locked in near some trees when hitting him when I hear the sound of his M107 and see the guy shooting at me. I try to jump out of the truck to just shoot the stubborn guy, but it blows up right before I can kicks me out of it unconscious to the ground where he kills me with his M107. I'm honestly shocked the guy didn't die. I don't regret that I lost my stuff and truck as one of the things my group took was a Ural which we loaded from the Mega base along with some other vehicles so gearing back up isn't an issue. I only regret that I had morphine on my body.

I only can tell you what i have experienced so far with 1.7.2.5. Graphical problems are very rare now for me, and can still be fixed with restarting the Game. I can play 5 hours without experiencing any problems, but then i get it twice in an hour, so its hard to tell whats wrong. I think, that those loading screen issues mostly are caused, by getting kicked from the server, when loading, because often when i had this issue, my friends told me i got kicked for some reason, but i didn't get notifyed about that. Loading times are (now) realy good for me, since i use a SSD. One thing i have heard, but can't realy confirm that it is true, that there are no more vehicles respawning. Updating is easy: 1. Download the DayZ-1.7.2.5.rar file 2. extract it 3. go into you DayZ folder 4. put all files into your addons folder (either keep the old files renamed or replace them, you choise) 5. play

Lost my Tent City with pretty much all gadgets, my AS50, NVG, Rangefinder, L85A2 AWS and 2 of my vehicles :(

Let me explain that for you. I know, for many players the final goal is to hunt other bandits, build up a trade company or something else that doesn´t ruin other players gameplay. But I´am playing Bohemia games since 2001. First Operation Flashpoint, the mother of all Military Simulations. Then Armed Assault. And since 2009 Armed Assault 2. I spend thousands of hours in these games. Of course I know every weapon very well, believe me. Since Arma 2 I play it as PvP game with beautiful online Mods such as Warfare Benny Edition. At least 3 years of Fun, doing only PvP. My final goal in Dayz is to hunt down enemy players, with the big guns, searching for their bases and destroy (deploy all weapons out of the tent, then saving them) them, searching for their vehicles and destroy them, before they get bored doing camping in Elektro or Cherno. I am alone and I will stay allone. Because Mates can make mistakes and its easier to spot 3 or 4 players instead of one player. I am doing very well at this, at least 27 camps (with 7 or more tents) got destroyed by me. I know its bad, but at least the owners of the camps dont get bored :D

We as the admins have told ourselves not to abuse our admins powers in any way to benefit ourselves regardless if u raid our camps/take our vehicles. Hackers/abusers will be banned if we catch them.

Restarts are scheduled every 4 hours starting from 5pm gmt +1 and so on every 4hours, Vehicles are saving just fine except for the loot inside of them but as we all know this is a dayz bug not a server related issue. No vehicles are saved out of the map.

Can we get an ETA on when the hive database will be fixed for all of us new server owners please? We aren't even playing the game right now because we can't have our vehicles. Just been playing lingor instead.

It's whatever you want man. Sounds like you're still missing ghille, rangefinder and tents. Also vehicles. I'd go do that. Having a team adds a whoooole lot to the game, but if you can't do that for whatever reason, then I guess that's out,. It's OK to be scared to lose your stuff (that's what makes it fun), but if it's so scary that you won't log in and play, then I guess you are at endgame already :) You WILL die and lose it all, eventually.

Suddenly, a guy drops HE grenades from his M203 all around us. We get out, shoot him, but he refuses to go down - even after a M107 shot to the chest. He disappears and reappars right behind us and kills us. He was both invurnable and teleporting. I respawn at Balota and run for roughly 30 seconds before I'm gunned down by the same guy. Same thing happens when I respawn at Electro and Wilderness near Electro/Prigo. As the screenshot shows, the only people online are my group + Hellbringer, whom we saw several death messages of (probably being gunned down like us). After a few minutes, xRay teleports to me, shoots the zombies chasing me, spawns an SUV, and tells me to get it in (screenshot). Once I get in it, he teleports our entire group to Zelenogorsk, where he had spawned a bus, a helicopter, an SUV and a lootpile (screenshot). We take some satchel charges, blow up the vehicles with them and disconnect from the server.

If you ride an ATV enough and know the basics of how to unflip it... you will learn to do it in a matter of seconds. It is just very important to go into your controls and look under vehicle controls. There will be a steer left and steer right. These will be bound to A and D. Then theres Steer fast left and Steer fast right. Bind those to your arrow keys left and right. When flipped and not dead(theres like a 10-15% change of sustaining damage or even death when flipping). Simply move backwards using S and then press A and <- at the same time till they steer all the way and then simply hold D and -> till it hits its max. You will notice you can steer really quickly this way. The trick to this is simply. Whilst steering from left to right and moving backwards wait for the atv to lift a little. Note the way that lifts. If the vehicle is on its side to the left then you will need to steer right to unflip it. Keep steering left and right till the vehicle lifts whilst steering left. Now quickly steer right and keep moving backwards. This time dont stop steering right and you will slowly see your atv lift more and more and eventually unflip it. Thats the basics. The people that use other vehicles to unflip it or use other tricks have nothing on this one. It can be done in 10 seconds flat once you get decent at it. The most important thing is... dont get off and always make sure you have 1 third fuel. Cant use this trick if you run out of fuel... a mate can prolly refuel you though if you do run out. The only time you can get off and back on is if your buddy tells you he can enter the back seat. Usually you can do this on a slope and not on a flat bit of land. My advice is to just get awesome at unflipping it so you dont have to get off. Never ride for prolonged periods of time without 12k blood. Flipping is inevitable. Explosions are inevitable. Death will find you.

Heres the thing tho bud, the server is not theirs to do with what they want. They are given the privilege of being able to host a DayZ server, following Rockets guidelines. They are not allowed to kick/ban players at will, it is admin abuse and Rocket WILL blacklist them, removing their ability to host a DayZ server. This game is not designed to cater to crybabies who want everything to be a safe cocoon of their chosing, its a god damned zombie apocalypse. You think some guys broadcasting a position of a safe haven with plenty of food/water/weapons/vehicles wouldnt attract the attention of organized hostile forces who would rather live by THEIR rules? That IS roleplaying, and in playing the role of a survivor safe haven, you must prepare for these kinds of things. The hackers are a different story, as well as the dickheads logging in behind the guys. I would love to play with a group of organized bandits attacking the camp LEGITLY using NON SPAWNED gear, for an entertaining fight, and I'm sure all of the people inside the camp would enjoy it as well, seeing as how it is a game depicting a zombie survival scenario, and this would be a very real part of that scenario.

Bicycle is superior to all vehicles if you are solo... You can really find them all over Elek.. Must have found 15+ the past couple days, even gave one to a random guy today but he only went about 50m then left the server. :S As long as you don't get off the ATV you can flip it back up. I have spent 5-20 minutes unflipping an ATV while riding it. Just don't get off and keep changing it up what keys you hold to barely move it til it flips up, takes a bit to get the feel down for it but you can flip it up always.

The tractor is a death trap. /thread If you drive the ATV correctly and don't speed all over the place you won't flip it. Don't hit obstacles and go slow on the edges of hills and peaks of hills. Stay away from train tracks that aren't at road crossings. Don't drive on any pavement that isn't a road. No dams, bridges, sidewalks, docks. Don't go full speed on non flat land offroad. You can still drive faster than other vehicles offroad without going full speed and still be at a safe speed. You'll get anywhere quicker on an ATV vs other vehicles driving smart not top speed all the time.

Same thing has happened to me twice now. I have grown tolerant of disappearing vehicles and tents, but disappearing gear is really unacceptable. Version 1.7.2.5 Arma2 95883 logging in with DayZ Commander losing patience...

I pretty much agree with everything on this thread, you have my beans! The standalone should also allow players to shoot out of the back of certain vehicles (certain vehicles like ATV's and Motorcycles wouldn't work and vehicles with more seats would pose a bigger threat).

So I just died. No biggie, if it weren't for the problem that it seemed extremely suspicious. I was playing on Denmark 2, I was very far up north east hunting tents. I tabbed out to have a look at the map. I had sat down next to a pine tree for some cover. When I log back in and start running again, a guy unloads at me from behind with a silenced weapon. High rate of fire, I can only assume it was a bizon. Literally right from behind me where I was sitting, the exact same spot. Pity I didn't just altF4 out because he was a poor shot and didn't kill me right away. I turned around to shoot back at him, I had an M14 so I should be able to do some serious damage, but I couldn't see him. Either he was a wearing a ghillie and sitting entirely inside the pine tree, or he simply wasn't visible. Ofcourse, I died. Did a hacker just teleport up behind me? Or did I have a case of extremely bad luck of someone logging in to my exact location, behind the same tree almost outside the map? Or did this guy have a tent nearby that he came down from? The latter seems very unlikely, because I had clear vision for atleast 150-200 meters all around, and I pride myself in being an ace at spotting tents and vehicles.

My god it was amazing...I have been playing for about 2-3 months now and have NEVER found a camp with this level of gear. In the past my friend found a car and drove it to me. It was the first time he played and as soon as he spawned in he saw the car. We then found a couple of tents with low end gear in them. He left and I had to lone wolf it again for a while, and in that time I found a tent with a van near it. Nothing special in the tent or van, but it was a great feeling to find this stuff. About an hour ago I found something amazing... Moving through the woods I spotted a tent behind a tree. When I got a better look I saw there was 5 tents and no vehicles. I felt so giddy and scared just looking at them, but I decided to sneak in an have a look (who wouldn't?). I found an AS50, NVG's, a Coyote backpack, GPS and a Ghillie Suit. It is my first time finding any of these items, and the first time that I have ever felt fully kitted out. Thank you, Rocket. Thank you for giving me this child like feeling of glee again.

Just purchased a server off vilayer LTD for me and my friends. To see that their is a problem with vehicles spawns is a bit depressing, hopefully the bug is fixed soon. I will wait out the first month of the server and hopefully vehicles spawn / the problem is fixed, then ill decide on either keeping the server/ending it. It gets depressing hoping to different servers every night to find that electro has been booby-trap with bear traps by hackers lmao.

Yes, Yes and Yes. Though the DayZDB map is glitching sometimes and will show vehicles and loot points above northern border. There is nothing except debug forest / debug plains past this border. you can go as far as you want, you will die of hunger/thirst before you can reach the real end of the map. if you stay within coordinates (look at gps) or within the map borders (thick line on the ground) your vehicles and tents should save fine.

There are alot of vehicles, look harder and play longer. i have been playing since Dayz started and have found or helped find 31 vehicles. how long has the game been out? 4 months about? Not to sure. But its not all that hard. Either get a group together and go hunting the spawn spots, or go up north and go hunting for peoples tens/vehicle hideouts. Its not that hard to find peoples stashes up north. Other then that, just keep playing I guess? The next vehicle I find I might have to give to you and your mate if you dont find any by then. Only thing I would like to see more of is the Mountain Bikes. You cant store anything in them, they dont use gas, plus everyone likes bikes.. a few extra of those would not hurt (; Anyways, good luck on your adventures. Did I mention look up north past NW Airfields?

Go to the board of the MAP! North of NWA and run near roads. There's some vehicles with poor speed in offroad, so they must be near roads. If you have N.V you can spot it far away, as any non military vehicles reflect the moon light as a bright light, and military reflect it as the tree. Before the new version start to spaw every one that change server for ping/laggy crash etc, at beach, I was into deep north forest, where I and my friends found an ATV, UAV, V3, URAL ,Horn and the old yellow car :} .

1.7.2.5 Fix tent / vehicles saving. Game is not playable atm.
