I've killed 10+ players during the last week or so, but only one had decent gear. Every time I engage a player in camo/ghilie they alt+f4 within seconds. Thinking back on my months of play time, I've only killed camo/ghilie guys with m14/AS50 - simply because these weapons 1-2 shot. - Spot a camo and a newbie in electro. Stalk them to Stary (1hr+) and lie in wait kill the newbie, but only one enfield shot hits the camo guy before he disconnects. - Sneak around for 15 min following the sound/zombies of a balota-sniper. Jump his pine tree. he disconnects while i reload having wounded him. It pisses me off that automatic weapons or anything that isn't a onehit kill has so little use in PvP. I want to hit/be hit and survive, i want people to bandage mid fight, i want strategy and patience to pay off. The only lenghty gunfights i've had with geared players have been when clans have clashed and fought over dead bodies or vehicles. TO HELL with all you camo/ghilie guys and your cat like disconnect-reflexes. Sorry for whining.. But this has been driving me crazy lately

Personally my clans server is on 1.7.2.4. After the fix for the instances ID's vehicles started spawning. We ended up repairing several, dropping some gear in the vehicle and saved it. After a server restart said vehicles were in the same spot with all the correct loot. You may want to consider rolling back your server till they can get hotfix in for 1.7.2.5 this way you can actually enjoy the vehicles. On a side note we have looked everywhere for a heli and can not seem to find it. I'm curious to know like Qweets asked eariler if the Heli spawns are 7 days from when vehicles spawn or is it suppose to be there once all vehicles spawn. I can't seem to find a very clear and precise answer on that.

Definitely wasn't zombies. They turned a corner and came running from the railway station down to the supermarket in the middle of the road, aggroing zombies all over the place. Then I hear one of them tell the other over direct voicecoms "there's a guy at the supermarket", I'm not sure how he could've seen me as I was behind the steps using 3rd person to see what was aggroing everything but maybe he had seen me when I was inside. He tells me "do not shoot, stay where you are", well fuck that, I booked towards the church. I hear the same guy yelling to someone else where I am and what direction I started running, then I hear a fucking vehicle coming after me! I made it out of reach of their voicecoms and audible range of their vehicle expecting to be teleported at any moment. But it never happened. Which is weird. Maybe they were only 'partial scripters' or they found the clothes on scripter bodies and kept it. I was certain that a scripter would be so annoyed by one guy evading a team of them and vehicles that they would nuke the server or something. I went to the roof of the hospital by the military tents thinking they might stop off their and I could get a screenshot but they never did.

Vehicles won't move back to their spawn points...they sit in the same spot on a server restart in almost all cases.

Hello so i have been trying to figure out how to do a complete reset on a server as the place is littered with tents barbed wire ect..... and removing them does nothing as upon an automatic server restart everything is back in its last location! I have contacted the server host provider and they say they are not allowed to reset server's its down to the DayZ Team, So i was woundering if its an easy task to have the server completely wiped fresh so its like a brand new server no tents no barbed wire no vehicles nothing untill vehicles spawn atleast on that part lol. If i have to pay for the server to be wiped im more then happy to pay that fee to clear up un'used tents tents that seem to dup items even when you empty the tents take the tent down ect.... as upon the restart the items from said tent are in my back pack and the tent, But the same tent is back with all items back in, Everything has been doubled. I have try'd blowing up tents running them over taking them down replacing tents and saving them but it happens everytime i cant seem to get rid of them, The same thing happens with barbed wire, Someone decided to place over 30 barbed wire at the power plant in electro firestation i spent an hour removing them only to log in the next day to find they have all respawned, This is why i ask for a complete server reset, as its getting beyond a joke. I would of corse clear it with all regulars that play on the server first and ask if its all ok, If they agree then i will be paying any fee needed to reset the server, Could a DayZ dev/mod please either confirm that it is or isn't possible to do this, Or if there is plans to wipe all servers in a future update? SNIPER SQUAD - RECRUITMENT Hey! My name is Phil, 20 years old (young?). I am from the Czech Republic and I've been playing DayZ with my friend for almost two months now. However the game started to be boring for him and stopped playing so I decided to try something more serious and form a squad about 5 - 10 fine, experinced players who know a bit about sniping, military tactics etc. The squad will be focusing mainly on sniper tactics, everybody will have his own role like sniper, spotter etc (this will change from time to time ofc). I would like to try snipe some of the bigger towns in game (what is almost impossible when you play alone, at least on high-pop servers), counter snipe, maybe try to find some vehicles sometimes and more stuff. If you enjoy this game style and think you meet all requirement listed belowe, just reply or write me PM:) What I expect from you: • Be able to work in group • Have some level of maturity • Be interactive • Understand the game • Know a bit about military tactics • Never use or encourage hacks etc. • Have Skype and fine microphone (if you have TS/Mumble and know some server where we could spend some time, it would be awesome) • Be able to play on EU servers (I am usually online from 6 pm to 1 am GMT) • Speak English What you can expect from being in group like this: • Be able to achieve higher goals in game • Help each other in game • Trade items with other players • Play the game with experienced players • Have some good fun with others • If you die, the group will help you to recover your gear (also gearing up itself is faster in group)

I would like to appeal for the ban of a whole clan known as XXT that also play on the server US 1841. The reason is, they are the only other people who play on the server that my clan (and our allied clan) are on. We have been hacked twice now, and they are the only people on the server. I spent all of today finding cars that they stole from us, and succeeded. We then stole all their vehicles and hacked in weapons. What next? I wake up after a booming headache to hear we were robbed, wanna know how? They teleported to our base (we had our clan mates see them spawn out of no where right in front of them) By who? The bloody XXT. So there. If they are not banned then at least I want others to know that this group are a bunch of scumbags who came on our server, fucking suck at PvP, and hack to win. If they are banned I would like to thank the person in charge of doing so, if this is the wrong place for a swift banning I would like to know so that these pathetic fuckers can be banned. I haven't seen the server admin on in quite some time so I can't directly address him about this. edit: They all have patrol packs and G36 Camo SD's. And were able to move all the vehicles : 2 buses, 1 skoda, 1 old hatchback, 2 offroad pickups, 1 UAZ, 4 ATVs, 1 motorcycle, 1 Ural, 1 V3S in just 30minutes. They are a clan of 4 people.

All 100% true, Okay so basicly 2 people on US 1841 (Out Dated Server) Called 'Riqueza Mano da XXT' and 'Manolo da [XXT] Chris' are hacking. Chris keeps dying then teleporting and has killed one of our friends and stole a red UAZ, but before that we found there camp after they stole and from another clan who we are now with, and as soon as I logged off after getting all of our vehicles and items back, 'Riqueza Mano da XXT' Logged on and I logged back in and the 2 big Trucks were gone, I moved the ATV back and they shot me. yesterday they were using a speed hack and killed 2 of my friends and stole the UAZ. Overall they are hacking and need to be dealt with. My name is SwagMonster Wicky, and I got killed at 19:30-19:31 GMT time.

My apologies sir, but I have to decline. If it is any consolation, I am myself leaving behind several vehicles stocked with gear. And my friends and I were to close repairing and operating our first chopper last night, before hacking wiped away hours of running around the map finding parts. The straw that finally broke me was when I spawned in the debug zone after dying to the hacker with no gear and no means to kill myself, other than waiting to starve to death. I have already issued the ticket to HFB Servers to shut it down immediately. Sorry. Unless one is playing on a private server, it seems the only way to play DayZ today is to run around Electro and Cherno with an axe or low-end rifle and just enjoy the game while waiting for a hacker to join the fray.

After waiting a few days my server finally started spawning vehicles. I managed to fix up a UAZ and a V3S Civ and took them back to my camp area. Upon the next server restart they had both gone back to their original spawns. I guess I'll have to wait until this bug is fixed to enjoy driving around and storing gear.

+1. It is such a good map, been playing for the third time today! like 95% of buildings are lootable, refueling vehicles is a breeze! Military loot everywhere = AWESOME.

Creativity is one thing. Having tools to be creative with would be a whole different story. Obvoiusly this game struck gold on its proof of concept and fundamentals. But it needs content and/or tools for players to create content. And I'm not even playing on Hive. I'm on a private server with probably near 100 vehicles in various states of ownership, disrepair or respawn. I think on Hive there is 11 vehicles per server with a respawn timer of like 7 days or something insane. Hive is boring as hell right now. Even the private server isn't that different, you just have more toys to play with. Ultimately the game needs more content.

Do a server reset, see if that helps. I dont mean restart RESET. You might lose your vehicles and tents, but if the heli is worth that much to you, then your going to have to.

Yep, its pretty frustrating. I played with some friends the past days to build up some vehicles. Every time we searched a long time to get all the parts we needed. Yesterday we repaired a bus. This morning the bus was still where we saved it. This evening the bus was gone. After that we got lucky and managed to build up two offroad pickups. We saved them just before a server restart. After that we went back onto the server and both pickups were gone. Just saying, its frustrating...I hope this issue will be solved soon...

Me and a friend have been playing for a good 4 weeks or so. I've became used to DayZ and it's customs, he however, did not. One day, he resorted to hacking. (Scripts, he said) Anyway. I joined him on a server, curious of what he could actually do. He shown me amazing things, spawning weapons not in Dayz, vehicles, he even gave himself God mode and infin ammo. So I stood before him, in my legit gear. (Ghille, PDW, GPS, NVGs, MK48, etc) Whilst he had a golden AKS and a golden revovler. He asked if I wanted a silenced PDW, I said sure, he spawned me one. We had some good fun, until he started getting obsessed with them. I'm talking, spawning trucks and such, and using different weapons every second, spawning stuff, a lot of stuff. We got to NW airfield, it was empty, not much good loot, didn't care much. He spawned a helicopter, which I polited, on Skype he started to become agressive (Shouting shit like he NEEDS to pilot, He NEEDS to be the leader of us two because he can give us items) I ignored him, got in the helicopter, flew directly above us, he ofcourse started shouting again, "Oh my God get out the fucking heli you knob i'm flying" I got pretty annoyed myself, so I ejected in midair, Heli came back down, killed me, but more importantly, killed him as well. (It was pretty funny actually, aside from his rage) He was then banned as he tried to respawn. So after see'ing how quickly he got banned (we was here for less then an hour or so) I can gladly say, i'll never be a hacker, nore have anything to do with them. The SD pdw was awesome and all, but I felt a bit shitty knowing it wasn't legit, it took the survival part of the game out of it for me. So what about you guys, have any similar experiances? Okay, so I FINALLY got hold of a car last night (sorry guy who I jacked it off, but that was pretty damned funny, you have to admit). I cruised around with it for some time then stashed it up in the trees. I've never used wire before, but I thought this might be a legitimate use for wire in case some newspawn on foot stumbled across my beautiful pickup truck. So I planted four barbed wires around the truck. I discovered that the wire could be vaulted at one point, but I didn't have any more wire. I wanted to see if the wire itself would stop the truck from being moved, so I hopped in and drove forward. It flattened the wire, so obviously it does not stop vehicles. Oh well. I saved the vehicle anyway and logged out. I log in this morning and the truck is gone. This in itself is not strange. The strange thing is, all the wire is still present and intact. Question: does flattened wire spring back up on server restart or is it removed? If it springs back up, then the vehicle was probably stolen before the restart, then the restart popped the wire back up. If it is removed, then there is obviously some problem with the server/hive where the state of the server was not saved properly (or more likely just the vehicle, since my state and the wire state were saved properly), and the vehicle is probably way back somewhere that I saved it on my way up into the hills. Thoughts? Conjectures? Similar experiences?

I thought vehicles are database server side not a client side So if hacker can spawn some vehicle into a game it must be a client side but this dont make any sence cause its a server side so this means hacker can get acces into a database or what ? Im really confused now, cause this means hacker can acces the hive database ? Explain it for me please, really...

Hi guys. I need your opinion/experience on this. Currently I am playing on DE 1303 most of the times. Me and some other guys managed to find and repair a couple of vehicles such as ATVs, Hatchbacks, Dirtbikes, Urals and even a Chopper. But whenever the server restarts (which is at least twice a day), all of those vehicles are gone and found later at their spawn points, complety damaged just as they were freshly spawned. Others are turned into other vehicles and at different locations. (Hatchback turned into a Pickup). Of course we save the vehicles when we go off and in between a couple of times. So my question to you: Is this normal? Is there anything you can do about it other than changing the server? And is there a server you can recomment where this doesn't happen (preferbly a DE server or at least European)? Thanks in advance.

No! Not a solution, I shouldn't have to erase an entire key chunk from the key because of 1 psychopathic murderer who either hacked his way onto the international hotel, climbed the brewerly, sitting on one god forsaken hill who won't even think to try and loot my body! It's bullshit, when you're that well hidden you don't need to worry about death in anyway, you simply shoot until you run out, spam with the semi auto if you miss one. It's complete and utter crap, and no these anti-material rifles should not be saved a place because of vehicles because when has anyone ever seen a vehicle going down the street and had an as50 ready that could hit their target. Plus assault rifle fire could take it down anyway. /rant

Another thing, They got to our camp at approximately 2:55, 5minutes after wicky logged out. When he logged in at 2:55 they were there stealing. 3 of them with 1 at camp at all times, which means they had to get 1 vehicle at a time, We had 12 vehicles some of which go less than 20kmph on the hills we're near up and down. They're camp is on the other side of the map. We know for a fact that they moved them all the their camp to because we had someone logged out there and he went on at 3:48 just to see all the vechiles there. If they moved one at a time it would take the probably 20minutes per vehicle to switch it. They managed to get 11 in less than 30minutes. They blew up 1 bus. One of the people our sniper managed to kill was holding a huge gun on him, And then when he died his friend teleported away. When he got to the body not less than a minute after killing him he had a patrol pack(coyote) a revolver and some binocs. This needs to be stopped.

If you don't include it your request will be ignored. Do not tell stories. Whatever you are saying about yourself or your situation won't matter. The only thing that matters is the evidence that is gathered for every global ban issued. Do not ask for the evidence behind your ban. No details about it will be revealed. Hackers would love to have access to this information. Do not beg for mercy. If you cheated you will have to live with the consequences. Global bans are permanent and no exceptions will be made. I did email them but don't expect a responce. I could care less about hackers/hacking as such and don't have the time to even bother but now that I've been enlightened by the global ban placed on me you may find 1 less player on any Battleye server. What I can't figure out is that I don't mind being killed by users or zombies but when servers screw up by spawn killing into the debug and wiping your items etc. is to much and I allmost quit the game for good. Too many updates etc. I paid for this? There is one thing i did notice which is that my CD Key may have been ripped off. I tried logging in a few times and it said there was a Key problem. That would be Steams fault. I'll be emailing there support for that. It's sad.

The admin didn't ban you; We were in cherno to pick up the guy you killed and we were waiting in the cherno fire station. Finally he arrived but then our other guy started to get internet issues and we waited for him to log in again but he never came back and just as we were about to head out the server crashed. After quite some time (when we were outside electro) I saw first a message about your friend (Himpie) getting banned (just banned, not global banned) by Battleye and after another few minutes I saw another message, this time about you. In all honesty, we didn't ban you. The server seems to have crashed 2 times since that crash and it appears like we have lost our vehicles >.> AGAIN, we didn't ban you. -EDIT- Just to make some things clear, we weren't participating in any firefight after our guy got killed.

Don't quote me on this, but I believe that the reason loot/zombies won't spawn when driving through a town in a vehicle is because you enter the town too fast for the server to spawn them before you arrive. As for the vehicles, I believe they are set to spawn on a timer. From the wiki: "If a vehicle is unused, bugged or left, it will respawn after a minimum of 7 days" I have no idea if there is a % chance of them spawning every so many hours after those 7 days, or if they just always spawn exactly 168 hours after the originally spawned vehicle. However, the word minimum implies there is some sort of % chance for them to spawn after a certain amount of time has passed the 7 day minimum. To answer your question, unclaimed/broken vehicles should be spawned regardless if you are near them or not. This is why people can server hop at the chopper spawns until they find one they can fix, for example.

Zip lines, to get around faster if all the vehicles have been hoarded. Also, wheeeeeeeee! :D
