Hi i read some things about tents and vehicles returning to their last known status as in 1.7.2.4 after a server restart on a 1.7.2.5 server. Anyone has any experience with this? Because otherwise i will lose the new items i will place in my tent or vehicle. And do vehicles teleport back to their last known position on 1.7.2.4 or not? Thank you!

Vehicles do not save on 1.7.2.5 thats why my server runs 1.7.2.4.

Am I incorrect? Is there a fix I should know about as a server admin? I run 1.7.2.4 but it appears most people dont understand the issues with 1.7.2.5 and still run it. I am not running a private hive server FYI. Anything I can do or are we just screwed until standalone? -
Maybe... Why not make a object "Camouflage textile" that can be found to disguise the Vehicles before leaving the Server. This makes it more difficult for other Players to find the vehicles. Maybe this new Object takes 2 places of the Inventory. example: Cars,Pickup u need 1 Camouflage textile Chopper,Bus,Truck u need 2 Camouflage textile

Server update what happens to tents/vehicles?

Hi, i got a question. Since 1.7.2.5 is not working properly (Not saving vehicles etc) we dowgraded our Server to 1.7.2.4 and it is working fine now. We now got us some nice vehicles and tents. Now 1.7.3 is announced and we want to upgrade to it as soon as it is released. But does this delete our camp or not? -
What are the maximum capacities of tents + vehicles?

Hey guys, I was just placing some guns in my tent earlier when i realised that they were disappearing. I read up on the internet what the maximum number of tent slots there are, and it said 53. Alright. However, when i went back in game, i counted the amount of slots the gear and guns in my tent would have taken up, and it was well over 53 (i had 6 guns with a lot more other gear, which definitely amounts to over 60 slots). This concerns me, as it seems that the Wiki is wrong on this point, and i still don't know the true number of slots in my tent. If anyone knows the true amount of slots available in tents (and vehicles if you know), please could you tell me? Thanks :) -
Date/Time:19 and 20th June, 2012 What happened: Repeatedly we have tried to put items in 2 different vehicles, a UAZ and a white offroader/ute thing (we hit save vehicle whenever we are done) but when we come back after a server restart a couple minutes later, ALL items within the vehicles disppear. Once it happened to only one vehicle, 2nd time it happened to both, and finally happened a third time on the next night (we kept putting things in to try and figure out what was happening) Where you were: In the northern forests of the map What you were doing: Sorting out gear to saved, moved,etc *Current installed version: Initially happened on 1.7.1.1, and 1.7.1.2 Even the gear that the UAZ has when you first find it disappeared, it was not just the stuff that we had put into the vehicles.

Tents are still here but all the vehicles on the server are gone... is this due to the hive crash we had last night? or is this only on here? Vehicles haven been saving on the server and always re spawn at their bases after every restart but now it looks like they are all gone.

i am writing to hear i some of you have any good advice for finding vehicles, my group of 4 and i were out looking for one for 2 days straight, covering the whole eastern and southern half of the map, without finding a single repairable vehicle, the only time we saw a vehicles was an atv driving in the horizon. have any of you got any tips for finding a ride, besides watching the spawn locations on youtube? i mean, are all the vehicles just stashed away in peoples camps, i have seen some vids with people showing off up to 10 vehicles (seems a bit like hoarding to me) any thoughts would be appreciated haag

How do i prevent my vehicles from Despawning once i go offline?

ok so ive got all the gear i need (range finder, nvgs, coyote pack, m16 holo sd, m9 sd, and all the tools) so i have been trying to make a camp the last few days ive found many vehicles on a few servers and i repair them just to find that they are gone the next day when i get on even though i "save them" and i even did an experiment to see if they are being stolen by parking my v3s by a ural that wasnt repaired and repaired the hull ONLY so that if i got on the next day and the v3s was gone i could check to see if the ural was differently repaired or not repaired at all but today wen i got one the v3s was gone but the ural was repaired differently... hull still intact but other stuff repaired as well.... how do i know if my vehicles will despawn on a server and how can i prevent them from doing so on those that dont?!?! -

Has someone compiled a list of vehicles and the items that spawn in them?

The former half of the question is a known variable, the latter is not, known, or a variable. I've found and repaired the majority of vehicles in game, but never bothered getting a list of what actually spawns in them and was hoping some obsessive data collector has done so. I've checked the wiki, and the database, and searched the forums to no avail. Help, it's greatly appreciated and rewarded with beans. -
Recently I have found a push bike, motor bike and a bus but none of which have saved when I have joined new servers, even when I disconnected to have a break and when I came back it was gone. So to save a vehicle do you have to be in it or within, say 100m too it?

DE 2196 - 1.7.2.4; Tents/Vehicles working fine!

Hi, I would like to introduce you to our server (DE 2196). It runs 1.7.2.4 because of the tent and vehicle bug. But our server works finde with that version! Downgrade your client and join, we are online 24/7 and the server is like completely new, take your chance to find some vehicles and other cool unique stuff! The server is connected to the Hive and not to a private database. We offer 40 slots and won't kick anyone for making space for one of us. Also it runs on Veteran, third person is on, crosshair of and nametags off for sure.. Looking forward to see you on the server! -
Whenever the final game version is released: The tents and vehicles HAVE to be wiped EVERY 5-7 days! The players should be able to keep only inventory and backpack items. If the developers really like to keep the game popularity they have to make impossible for a clan to sit on a pile of resources and occupy a server 24/7 without letting other players to login and conquer. I have played EVE a lot and there is common things in gameplay with one big difference - DayZ IS NOT single universe/server. In EVE 50-60000 players can login simultaneously and conquer resources. With DayZ thousands of servers it is very easy for a 100 players clan to occupy a server 24/7 and secure unlimited vehicles and guns. Meanwhile same idiots will "police" noob servers making brutal fun with regular players. The result will be - no new players grouth and a lot of borеd to death veterans. -
First off, I want to say i play in a group of 4 people, and we absolutely LOVE this game, and the tactical aspect of it. At the moment, we are looking for more vehicles and car parts, as owning a vehicle makes the game 10 times faster and more enjoyable then running everywhere. That being said, every time we get a vehicle (we have found A LOT), next server restart it ends up disappearing anyways. Also, our tents we put all of our gear in (a bunch of gear we value, like NVGs, and rare guns) also disappear when the server restarts, leaving us with only the items on our backs. This takes the joy and motivation to look for vehicles, if they are going to disappear in a few hours anyways. Without vehicles, the game isn't nearly as enjoyable and really, even over hackers, i think this problem should be the first priority because anyone who plays the game and spends time getting gear and vehicles, is only rewarded with it being taken away. I was wondering if this is happening to everyone or just on my server.... When I do a restart on the server, vehicles transformed into a different vehicle. I had the Ural and upon restart, it turned into a UAZ. The items I had in the Ural also changed into grenades, AK mags, and other random gear.. Then I headed to the Ural spawn location and it was there again. Is there a fix for this or is there a file in my file manager that i need to update?? Or is this a hive issue?? Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks.

So i found two ghillie guys having fun with a Ural in middle of elektro and they got killed... stole their ural and went north the server was going to restart in 5 minutes so i save the ural and after the restart the ural wasnt there... lost Pipe bombs that were in the Ural :(. When will they fix this?

Do any servers have working tents/vehicles in 1.7.2.5? My friends and I are bored because we got all our gear but dont have anyway to store more. I know many/most servers are having trouble but I was hoping yall could suggest some working servers if there are any. We live in Texas so looking for U.S. servers. Thanks! -

Hi, yesterday i found and repaired a bus in elektro, once repairs were completed i went to hide it because it was kind of late, when i logged off the server there was no one in the entire server, i saved the bus 2 or 3 times. I just want to know if somebody somehow found the bus or it just deleted its self because I have seen a lot of posts about peoples vehicles getting deleted.if anyone knows anything about this please tell me
