Lazy (DayZ)

Stopping people from being jerks by simply banning them goes against everything this game stands for. However this issue isn't as simple as that. I do believe that this kind of 'game' mentality should be reduced but it won't be through not allowing people to play how they'd like to play. Instead there should be incentives for players to play more cooperatively. This is already happening in the form of making zombies tougher, removing kill counts etc. If you have any real suggestions of subtle and realistic deterrents I suggest you hit up the suggestion forum but there is no way in hell that you're going to be given the power you are asking for. p.s. all up for the banning for racist and homophobic remarks by the way.

Generally I play as nicely as I possibly can without making myself vulnerable to a hatchet in the back. If someone just stares at me and my equipment while I'm talking over mic to them then I'll be a bit suspicious.

Numerous times I've heard clans bragging about how many vehicles they have on a server. The number of clans doing this is probably increasing cause I can't find a damn vehicle anywhere that I used to. I heard they are planning to have a massive amount of vehicles in the stand alone which would be a welcome change. Bracing myself for the onslaught of 'l2p' and 'stop complaining nub' I'm really not complaining here just wondering if anyone else has been finding a similar problem recently and if they've managed to get around it. (I am aware that some servers just haven't had vehicles spawned yet btw).

Supermarkets are probably the best place to get cans of food. As for the animals, it does occasionally happen but you should have plenty of chances to try another one before dying (of starvation at least). As for blood, once you sort your emaciated animal problem you should be able to survive on meat as it restores 800blood and is plentiful. If not, try finding a friend to play with to enable to use of blood packs. Edit: sorry, didn't realise supermarkets were already mentioned.

I remember someone saying something about making your ingame resolution the same as your background resolution. I'm not sure if that will help but its worth a shot. Make sure you update your graphics card drivers as well. Good luck

Assuming any given person is poor at this game based on their recommendation to make the game more balanced for new players is ridiculous. Following such a comment by bragging with things you have accomplished that frankly anyone that has played for a month would have achieved by now is more of an insight into your insecure psyche than into your level of skill. If anything, by making the game more fair for newer players (i.e. deterring fully geared players from killing them for no reason, or at least not incentivising them with a number that they believe makes their dick grow bigger) would increase the general skill and gear level of players making end game (fully geared) play at least a bit more of a challenge. Your ample presence on these forums genuinely makes me feel sorry for the community.

Also. No one uses it because its shit. So everyone stop using it?

I use steam voice chat. seems to work fine. More importantly I don't really care what everyone else is using. Why would I?

I'd be happy to help. Are you on tomorrow at all? I have a couple friends that should be on tomorrow.... or maybe the day after. First things first you better jump on DayZdb map and estimate your trajectory from the last place you were, then try to identify a landmark, or even go into a town and check out the road sign. Worse case, find south via the sun and run towards it. It's a lot easier to navigate nearer to the shore.

It seems strange to me that someone with apparent expertise could correct us on probably one of the most frequently misused terms in the game and we're not grateful. I understand that people don't like to be corrected, but if you learn something from someone just say thank you. Clearly, if you don't care, this post was not intended for you. I personally do care whether I am saying something incorrectly so thank you. As for the elitism crack: If you believe other people are doing something incorrectly, it is not elitest to correct them. If anything an absence of correction is more likely to denote an elitist. Well....I guess I better get back to repeatedly dying on this game. Seeya.
