    Heli respawn rate....

    Either way, why the hell is it so long.. should respawn like other vehicles.. Dayz wiki says 13 days :(
  2. I get it that if you hack you teleport (because you are already so sad that you hack your weapons why walk ?) But why teleport to vehicles, (specaliy choppers) steal them (or destroy them).. I mean, you are hacking you can teleport and spawn those vehicles.. Still you steal them from other players who put hard work in repairing those. I really dont get it..

    Because the scripts to spawn in vehicles are very large and easier to be caught with. You have to bypass BattlEye with each script in order for them to work and not to get caught.
  4. It's really taking the fun away from the game, everyone can find any player and anyone can find vehicles with the most basic iteration. If you know what you are doing you can make it list heli-crashes and loot.
  5. I once killed a clan taking screenshots with a buddy. 22 kills and all of their vehicles, including a huey, in less than 30 seconds. mm.
  6. 1.7.2.6 is said to be buggy. Tents still don't work properly, duping due to vehicles and tents not being saved after changes is still possible. Well, I would like to quote Smack : :(

    Agreed. Im thinking about welcoming presents for groups of 3+ that join our server. We have quite a few vehicles scattered and repaired. Its not that we are hoarding but for awhile we had a 0 population because we were on 2.4 but now im thinking groups that seem chill and join our server might get an ATV or a Truck/Sedan w/e.
  8. Hello everybody, I would like to report a Hacker on DE 1078. We were playing and raiding a helicopter crashsite with a traktor an a quad, when suddenly cows started dropping down on us in parachutes, tons of vehicles were spawned and all players online were teleported to the same location. We were instantly being shot at as well. I immediately shut down the server.   9. this is the first thing I thought of. why would hacker want to steal your loot sounds more likely it was just issues with the tents and vehicles not saving correctly
  10. 1.7.2.5 was a step back. Vehicles weren't saved, artifacts weren't fixed. Just for example. 1.7.2.6 fixed artifacts, but vehicles fuel is empty after restart. Very nice step forward, or? And one of the biggest no step forward, is, that they have nothing against the teleportcheater. I don't know how that works, but I think rocket doesn't know it too. Thats a fact. Why i am mad about this? I left my server, one time in several weeks, and i was killed by such a fu..... who.. with 1000 zombies i have killed. Now, i just began have to began from the beginning. I dont know if they got fixed all bugs at all. I dont believe this anymore.

    Server Restarts!

    Is anyone else having problems with stupid server restarts that respawn your vehicles somewhere else and remove all items from your tents even after you've save them, wouldn't mind if rocket did something about that!

    1.7.2.6 buggy?

    I find this patch has some huge bugs, such as the one that got on my nerves the most. Me and my group got a bus, a ural, and a daz and put them in our base, server updated and boom... all vehicles got flushed and no vehicles spawned.
  13. So, has the Dayz dev team any suggestions as to how we find our teleported vehicles without spending fucking hours running around the map ?.
  14. People prefer to have their own server simply because it means they'll be able to gather the vehicles they need before other players can come and take them. Consequentially, your server becomes a sort of home base for you and your friends to play on because you build your camp on it and have maximum mobility on it.
  15. The bug still exists where vehicles and tents will be MIA after random server restarts, it seems to happen about 1 out of 20 on my server. Everything will reappear with the next restart. Despite the fact that I have had nothing but success with tents on 1.7.2.6 I am still skeptical of saving things in fresh (just placed) tents. In 1.7.2.4 it seemed that *most* of the time items would NOT save in a tent that was just put down but would save just fine after a server restart. Not sure of this is the case in 1.7.2.6 but I would err on the side of caution and wait until a restart before placing items in a tent. This has not been an issue for me though in 1.7.2.6 so far.
  16. You can save items in tents and vehicles, however they are server based and if anyone comes across them they can loot them. Items on your character save to the hive and will go with you from server to server. Hope that helps.
  17. Can't say for vehicles, but my tents are good now. I've done some basic testing on a public server, and they save correctly. Did lose some stuff during the update, but w/e.
  18. well I dont know about vehicles but my tent is still there and full of the contents I put in 3 days ago. So yes the tents are working great.

    Increase spawn rate and maximum vehicles per server

    I agree there should be more vehicles, and perhaps nerf storage? I mean come on, everyone uses them as mobile tents right? Or is that just me? Now, im not saying completely remove storage, but making them pretty much mobile tents is slightly over the top. Maybe store two weapons and maybe 20 items. Lets you store supplies and backup weapons while not straight up making them ridiculous.
  20. Bolded for emphasis. This is the major complaint among players. Me personally, I never see a need for a clan/squad to have more than 3 vehicles, in any situation. Generally, you'll only take the one that fits everybody anyway, as to not put more than one vehicle at risk of being stolen, or shot/blown up.

    Hotfix Build 1.7.2.6 Rolling Update

    Tried 2 atv's today, cant unflip them. One was blown up, one turned up with Lada crashing :D And the empty fuel after restart sucks. Found several abandoned vehicles today.
  22. Agreed, people still want this game to be "Walking Dead" where the zeds are the real threat. Unfortunately, it's not like that and people are the real threat. I'm not leaving anything around that someone else could use, even if that means purposefully destroying or "losing" them. I play lone wolf and I shoot on sight, no questions asked. Don't care if you shout friendly or not. I steal and destroy vehicles I can't use and I loot then run over tents in camps. Deal with it.

    Hotfix 1.7.2.6: What did it do?

    Since I've upgraded to the latest patch I have experienced no graphics glitches at Balota, NWAF, Cherno, or Stary. Tents and vehicles now seem to save now as well. Even the helicopter location saves!!! They are a little buggy still though and don't save 100% of the time, but its better than not saving at all. However, the fuel level of the vehicles does go to zero after a restart.
  24. While the hero skin is all fine and dandy, I don't really feel like I've accomplished anything by blood bagging a few people in Cherno and Elektro. In my opinion, this is the true way to be the type of player that brings joy to this game. STEP 1: THE HUMBLE BEGINNINGS a. Find a bicycle, boat, or hoof it. If bicycle, go to step 2A. If boat, go to step 2B. If on foot, either will work. STEP 2A: THE PATH OF GLORY a. Plot a course you will take. You will be looking for bandit camps. b. Keep in mind that a single tent can mean more spread out in the area. Search that general area for more tents and vehicles. STEP 2B: HONOR TO THE SKIES (Note this method is less likely to work effectively) a. With your boat or horrible swimming skills, travel out to Skalisty Island. b. If nothing is there on your current server, hop until you find one that has a bandit camp or helicopter (NOTE: A helicopter that is in need of repair most likely signals the server is NEW. Go ahead and take the chopper, but this process requires a server that has camps, which a new one most likely will not.) c. After taking the helicopter, initiate a search for bandit camps from the air. d. If no helicopter is found, either resort to step 2A or if you found a camp, go on to step 3. STEP 3: THE HERO'S TEST a. After finding a camp, search all of the tents. You may take anything you want except snipers for personal use. b. Load up a vehicle (if applicable) with things you want. MAKE SURE IT IS NOT A URAL. If the camp has a ural, go to c. If not, go to d. c. Remember the sniper rifles you couldn't get? Load them all except one into the ural. Shoot the ural's engine block until it explodes. Hide your current sniper rifle under a bush or tree so it despawns upon server restart. d. If no ural, hide the sniper rifles all under trees or do the same process with other smaller vehicle(s). While the vehicles are not the targets of this process, you may use them as sniper exterminators or if you find the ammo, to put them back up at their spawns for survivors to fix up after a restart. STEP 4: THE SAVIOR IS BORN a. (optional) Go to Elektro or Cherno with your newly acquired gear. Check the area for snipers. If there are any, stealthily approach and kill them. Hide the bodies. b. Travel along the coast and hand out your gear to fresh spawns. If you want, you may tell them the location of the camp. c. Repeat the process, or bask in the glory of being a true hero. This process is by no means comprehensive. You may go to any lengths to help new survivors, as long as it does not involve any grief from any said survivors. Motivation to do this? First of all, you're a hero. Second, you probably just got rid of a lot of duped items. Third, you most likely saved the lives of about 100 fresh spawns from being killed by those sniper rifles. Have fun!
  25. Butthurt much? Invisible walls and barriers that kill you are lame. Always, no exceptions. Making it so that you can't save vehicles outside the map would be a perfectly fine solution.
