Oh, heres what you do. Scope the entire mid-western side of the map. From skalka all the way down south. Go a little bit into black forest. Then check out cuba. from there sweep the whole northern part of the map. As well as all of this check every major pond/lake in the map. If you were off map its probably long gone. We found with our camps that people took them further out of the map in hopes we couldnt find it. If still nothing else, you may or may not have the vehicle in the server (got destroyed) so check around the spawns. Using this, we found our vehicles most of the time. Or found them at their spawns. Dayz DB map is your friend. If you got a heli its literally a 2 hour long process, on foot its a day long process.

Trying not to be a troll asshole, but its kinda impossible to get out of that rut. Its going to come down to (if your lone wolf) just trying to survive as long as possible/getting bored and dying in elektro with high end gear sooner or later. I'd suggest some friends, and vehicles. It'll give you another month to hoard all the vehicles. Some people like to group up with strangers, not me, i get kinda bored after awhile and log out.

Well. Its possible people collected hacked weaps and saved em in the SUV? it could also have been spawned in with full inventory, but hackers usually spawn a bigger vehicle, at least on my server :) like a Ural or V3S. But it can spawn legit ingame, when using BlissHIVE software. There is also the possibility, that the admins on your server have added custom vehicles and weapons to the server, its very possible :)

1. yes, deffo. but how do you avoid getting attached to it when it's so hard to replace, or virtually irreplaceable? 2. i agree when it comes to as50s. they add nothing. and having one doesn't make you a better player, or give you any more chance of survival. i've been killed more times with an as50 in my hand than with any other weapon. they're rare, that's all. and they allow you to one-shot-kill a chopper, making vehicles largely redundant too. we're in alpha here, so it's fine, but there is a serious and appalling lack of balance in the game at the moment.

Ye, i was aware of some of the special vehicles, like the black SUV, but.. i havent seen special weapons spawn, like the ones i found in the black SUV before. Ive found lots of hacked weapons before, dead players, tents, weapons crates etc Except that i got the expression that theese was spawned with the SUV.

If you know how, you can edit Dayz down to the smallest detail. Weapons vehicles and everything else. I know the SUV is standard in the Bliss setup, so you might have been at a bliss server :)

how do you stash anything of worth in this game? the server either wipes the vehicles or the tents. I've yet to discover a server I can rely on to stash anything of any value. Everything is on my Player Character, and i got no 'regular' server. Cept i've noticed the majority of the clans i know have gone to Lingor. Nobody can be fucked getting hack wiped when you've been playing honestly. Yet, as I presumed would probably be the case, most people would be hard arsed and even 'insulted' at the ideal. even presented with a choice of either a) bambi loot and train servers, And B) hard arse loot on death servers - there would be 'a stench of indignation' from the fanbois. However, this and such similiar workabouts may be an ideal, yet it's one only to remediate the broken Arma2 DayZ (and arma2 generally) - for a 'broken community' to continue to operate until the more Secure and Intergral DayZ standalone exists, besides just in higher-loot maps such as Lingor, or low-population periods. There was a golden period in this game - yet the same thing that brought it glory, the perma-death, is causing alot of experienced players and newbies both to depart, as they're so likely to loose gear to hackers rather than players or z's...

Supermarkets. To get a vehicle, a good hang out is the Factory to the east of Polana. I've scored half a dozen vehicles there by just waiting for players to stop for either parts of fuel for their vehicles. Ah fond times.

True, Its Takistan! The map is huge so the vast amount of planes/helicopters is acceptable in my opinion. Plus we got incredibly lucky to come across these vehicles in a semi repaired state or tip top condition but when i was playing yesterday and we lost all these vehicles due to the server changing to the Lingor map and i could only find 1 or 2 helicopters on airfields and they were totally wrecked on other servers.

Hey survivors! If anyone else has noticed a new map pop up out of the blue then you probably know about the new Takistan map for DayZ! Its not an official map, i know but its still a great map! Check me, phonix and a few others out as we sink our teeth into the new map and get ourselves into some trouble with a chinook helicopter! ( Before people start getting into one - This is the TAKISTAN map on a private hive server. Its nothing official and not approved by Rocket but still me and loads more people are playing it! These vehicles are not hacked/scripted in and can be found in many different spawn locations around the map! I even found a legit M4A1 Holo M203 in the barracks at the northern airfield! ;P )

I think its about time I fire up that DayZ blog again... Its 12:00 AM, I've slept pretty much all day due to this stupid flu I have and can't get back to sleep. So the story goes like this. I log in to find out that a few things have happened: 1) The camp I had originally set up in the far west of Chernarus was compromised. Barbed wire was cut, tents looted and a couple of the bikes I had stored up were gone. Except for one. 2) A chunk of my perishable inventory was missing. I lost a bunch of M4 magazines, water, food and my Makarov magazines and bandages that were readily accessible. I had extras in my backpack, which seemed to have survived whatever happened with my inventory. So, with that done, I figured I might as well do something silly and do some Cross Country Biking from one end of Chernarus to the other. Starting at the far west of the coastal highway, all the way to the northeast. At this time of night, not many people were playing, so going through both Chernogorsk and Elektrozavodsk was without any issue or conflict. So, beyond that point its just open highway, small towns and whatever else. Clear as can be aside from the hordes of zombies that catch notice for a moment. Eventually I pass into the Krutoy region, which is where the highway and coast bends up to the north. I wasn't expecting much at all beyond this point, since players prefer to stick within, or between, or north of Cherno/Elektro. All I had in mind was just to get up to Berezino (Last city on the highway going north), Hide my bike and then log off. Mission accomplished, do something interesting tomorrow. But nope. My luck had something completely different in mind. Not too far along the road from the Krutoy bend is a small, industrial-esque town called Solichniy. Coming from the south, you pass through the town itself, then you start to go through the factories and docking area. At the very end of this are two bridges, One for a train and another for vehicles. Approaching this, I noticed that the bridge had been blocked off entirely with Barbed wire. I didn't really think too much of this at the moment, as its not uncommon for other survivors to block off a bridge, or an entrance of a building just to be dicks. So I turned off to the train bridge and zipped on over. Or well, tried to at least. At the very end, they had put more barbed wire, almost underground due to a glitch in the terrain. The bike got stuck. I hopped off the thing and went to take care of the barbed wire. Suddenly I heard an engine roar to life, and a military jeep wheel out behind a building and start hurdling towards me over the train bridge. I'll be honest with you, I don't think there has ever been a moment in this game that has ever had me go deerfaced at a computer screen. I stood up, backpeddled and started hammering rounds at the driver side window of the vehicle and stepped off to the side of the bridge. The vehicle tried to ram me, but ended up deflecting off of the railing I had retreated behind. It continued on for about 10 meters before one guy ejected from the driver side. He was bleeding, I had apparently hit him in my initial spray of fire. Having plenty of rounds left in my rifles magazine, I proceeded to blast him with whatever was left inside of my gun. I reloaded, approached his fallen body and dumped more rounds into his face, and noticed the vehicle had started to rev up again. I dumped more rounds into the vehicle as it tried to retreat, but whoever was driving now was probably panicking as much as I was and fired the vehicle off, full speed, along a raised railway. The vehicle lost its balance and flipped off onto its side and the new driver attempted to eject. The second he got back up, I once again dumped the entirety of my magazine into him and killed him. At the end of it all. I was left with two dead bandits. Two less magazines. One fucked up jeep. A potential heart murmur and my Trusty Ringy Dingy Bicycle. I love that fucking thing. Once I had regained my bearings I hid in the ditch of the bridge for a few moments to see if anyone else was going to show their ugly face. Minutes passed and nothing, just quiet. So I figured I might as well test my luck and see what these fuckers were packing. The first guy I had killed had the same rifle as me, An M4a1 CCO. But he had only a few magazines which I took up. The next guy over at the jeep had a bit more of a bounty. I was able to grab Nightvision, Radio and a couple makarov magazines. After checking both of them, I didn't bother to take the time to hide the bodies. I just buggered off, got on my bike and finished off what ended up to be the worlds most fucked up cross country bicycle ride. I love this game.

The amount of vehicles in them mods isn't normal.... thats not dayz... lmfao

So i think you guys are all right, let them out but what is really about that Pictures? I Mean we cant know if any pictures are from Millitary bases vehicles or buildings, dont get me wrong i wont that this guys come out of the prison but whats realy about the pictures =) Ps: Twitterd and Facebooked !!!!

Because having 3-4 vehicles for your clan is the same as hoarding every vehicle on the map. Not sure if stupid or stupid.

The most possible answer is the restart bug. I am admin and have encountered a problem when restarting the server. Sometimes all the vehicles and tents are gone after restart. But they appear after another restart. /Terrorfish

Obviously I care. I like to have a shittone of gear. Also, there was a URAL and other vehicles.

I had something similar happen to me once. My friends and I joined a server and settled down in it, and every once in a while the server admin would TP to us while invisible and help us kill zombies and stuff. Seemed to be protecting us, so we eventually invited him to our skype group. After a few weeks he started messing around (presumably because there was no fun left in the game due to his scripting tendencies) by spawning and blowing up Hueys near our bases, teleporting us to other players, #kill-ing other players, and warning us of the position of everyone else on the map until the game was no longer fun for us. We eventually abandoned him. We kicked him from the group, removed him from our contacts, packed up all we could from our tents and switched our in game names. He actually used the forums and told some people about where all our bases were on his server, it turned out that while we were at base, one of the groups who responded to his forum post showed up. We ended up killing one of the raiders, but decided instead to join forces after explaining the situation, and we have been all working together since! LOL hooray for diplomacy! After a few days we all went back to our original names, made a base, accumulated a few vehicles etc, he of course found which server we were on and tp'd to each of us with a hatchet, and then alt f4'd when we fired our first rounds at him. We haven't seen him since, and his server has since been down (US 1502). Yep, that is my story, sorry to take the attention away from your thread but I thought our experiences were similar. Kudos to you for exposing these people, many of them are just mad at their current situation in life, and this is their passive aggressive way of getting the upper hand at something. The ones who don't do it to just piss people off are simply bad at the game, and afraid of a challenge (remember above that the scripter I played with had to alt f4 when we shot him). Keep up the good work!

All i wanted. ALL i wanted. Was a nice, secluded little camp north of Pusta on the hill surrounded by rocks. Just enough to deposit supplies and hoard. Because that's what i wanted to fucking do. I didn't want to PK, i didn't want to gather all the vehicles, i didn't want to block off buildings with barbed wire. I wanted ONE. FUCKING. CAMP. To store my stuff. ONE. FUCKING. CAMP. That would not be found, not be immediatly looted by some ASS that stumbled across it, or more likely just fucking nuked by the server. I cannot save my progress, there is no progress, there is no game. Go kill a fully equipped guy in Elecktro and you win the game. Nothing else to do. You cannot save your progress. Maybe standalone would remedy this via "underground bases", but i'm so soured on this game that i'm not going to buy it. I'll buy Black ops 2. Just to Spite all of you. I won't even play it.

Just use someone elses camp, I found a camp loaded with tents and vehicles, I brought them a off road pickup and borrowed a dirt bike to go rip around with, I'm sure they wont mind =P

Yes...your camp will be looted...your vehicles will be blown up....that's how the game works...reason why I don't have a camp.

The vehicles should have an inventory capacity limit like the backpacks. Vehicles- The only way I know the vehicle is at max capacity is when I try to put an item into it and it disappears. That needs to be prevented! at least have a category of diffent kinds of loot you can put in it with how many of those items you're allowed to store. for example: 0/3 guns, 0/40 generic loot etc. More importantly, have a pop-up that prevents us from loosing our item that we're trying to store!!! For example: "Max Capacity" or "Cannot fit" or "Over-burdened" etc.... The only way I have an idea of how much I can store in a vehicle is if I go online and do research. But even those are wrong. Same goes with backpacks. I can't tell you how much stuff I've lost because it disappears when I try to put it in my backpack or vehicle. Thank you, Mario

5 people with a camp of 5 vehicles 3 days into a server that has double the normal spawn of vehicles is not ridiculous. There are several other people who have a few vehicle, which is understandable for that many vehicles spawned on the server.

Repaired and found a pickup on day 1 in this server. Looted all night and parked it for bed timez. Logged in and it was still there. Drove it away from parking spot for about 3 minutes and found a chopper parked in a nearby field. Took chopper and put truck back. Buddy one asked someone where they were, they said Berezino. We went there to kill him cause we knew he had a UAZ the day before. Went there and couldn't find him so we left. Went to debug looking for camps, etc. Found a camp of 2 buses, 3 UAZ's and some tents. No one in sight. Dropped off buddies and flew off. They said they saw someone and open fired. Apparently it was the admins just logging in and we ended up killing them all, minus one. Looted everything, blew up vehicles, and left. At this point the side chat was on a witch hunt calling us hackers because the admins were just logging in and we were at their base. We were understandably defensive and pissed that everyone was calling us hackers and saying to ban us, simply for us playing the game. Admins attempted to diffuse the situation at first which was cool, though they failed. They then began falling in to the mob mentality and we were all eventually banned. The logs were obviously not checked. I'm not bothered, just writing my experience. Off to one of the other thousands of servers. If side chat could be regulated better, this server would be fantastic. Until then, I can not recommend it.

Abusive admin...heres the story. Server reset to a new hive 2 days ago, admin has a camp with 2 buses, 3 uazs, 3 tents with a few high end guns, and a helicopter. Someone steals helicopter, moves it, and we end up finding it. Crashed choppers are bugged on the server so we look for camps, find this huge camp, admin logs in immediately as we land, we kill him, another guy seems to log in but maybe was a glitch, there was a standing body at the admins body. Immediately they start accusing of hacking. I get shot and we take another guy out. Buddy drives one of the UAZ's away and as he is leaving a camp north of pobeba dam one of the other admin's buddies, who had been in a car at berezino, shows up. Friend in UAZ stops and takes them out. The admin never bothers to check logs all the while accusing of foul play. Foul play when 2 days into the server he had 3 of the nicest offroad vehicles and a chopper. KK. He later bans us more or less cause he felt like it. Its a nice server but watch your mouth and I wouldn't advice getting into a firefight with the admin, might net you a ban. Also difficult to find spawned vehicles as the admin apparently takes a group of 5 and rounds em all up for himself. Not worth your time for serious players, they want noobs to shoot.

Server just went up an hour ago. Veteran with 3rd person on, vehicles, the whole nine. To gain access you must fill out an application here. Come join the server hopping, ghosting, and hacker FREE Chernarus =) Good hunting!
