G'day :) As the title suggest I would personally love to see Camo nets available in DayZ. Sandbags and other items are okay but stand out drastically in the dense jungle environments. Would be great for hiding vehicles in the forest and especially from helicopters. It would be a rare item (0.19%) in a barrack environment as it is military grade loot. I would like it to match the tents colour theme (Woodland) and unsure of the size as simple placing a tent can be quite a difficult task at times. If it could fit one vehicle and maybe a tent. Like the Camo net at Berezino. Any questions or support would be greatly appreciated. I haven't seen this suggestion at all and thought it would be a fantastic addition. Cheers! - Samm :thumbsup:

I want to add that all tent / vehicle issues are completely gone, it has instant connection to the local hive (so no desync at all), and had double the amount of normal spawning vehicles on the map. I am also trying to keep it a legit DayZ experience and there are several groups of regular players on the server :D -

A few things that I was thinking about include the following: Medical Blood bags will heal 12,000 blood but not instantly. They can be self administered but they will only heal about 200 blood/sec. You don't have to use the entire blood per transfer and if you move, the blood increase stops. Antibiotics should be more common as in as common as say painkillers but will have more use You would have a body meter. Parts of your body (major parts such as arms, legs, torso, and head) could turn orange when infected. When orange, there are mild affects (orange left arm = slower ads, orange right arm = occasionally you will not hit the trigger, orange legs = slower movement, etc) When a part of your body is red, the conditions get worse When a part of the body is flashing the effects are at their worst (left arm = extremely slow ads, right arm = extremely unreliable trigger, legs = limping/broken, head = blurry vision/darker, etc) After a while (a significant amount of time) of not treating with antibiotics, you could lose the limb. This would only occur after 10-20 minutes of a blinking limb Antibiotics do not work instantly rather based on the severity of the infection will take longer (orange 3 seconds, red 1 minute, blinking 10 minutes) but will not get worse Bandages do not stop all blood loss, only small cuts and larger injuries can use bandages temporarily but will need to be stitched (in the op i think) Pain has different severities and the player will make noises and yell when in pain Painkillers do not work instantly. Also based on severity. Guns Rarity should be increased of military guns. It's almost unrealistic that high powered military weapons are just available so easily. Sniping should be much more difficult (more so than the op) including temperature and other things. Automatic weapons should also be harder to find. It takes literally 10 minutes to have an akm or ak-74 and mow down people. Zombies Zombies should also be attracted to smell. As a player runs longer, they will have a stronger smell and must find zombies to cover their scent. This can also effectively work as camouflage against players. Zombies should also always be in cities and not when a player just happens to enter one. Zombies should also be randomly in the woods and when shots are fired will venture towards to sound slowly until they see/hear/smell a player and then become aggro. Zombies should also be more organized traveling in packs and groups forming huge herds in some parts of town and in others, they are almost non-existent. Of course some can be roaming around the city randomly just so that one cannot just walk around these groups unseen Zombies should also attack animals and run after them if they are in sight. When attacking an animal or player they should divert their attention to that player. When a zombies becomes aggro, other zombies can follow suit becoming aggressive to the sounds the first zombie makes. (this should also not spiral out of control either causing ever zombie to be attracted to one sound) More variety is better. Lingor island does a great job in introducing different zombies. Zombies with broken limbs and torn off body parts should also be introduced. Shouting can attract zombies. Useful if in a group and one person is being chased after. Players More clothing including bandannas or shirts that a character can wear to show they are part of a group. (They have to be found) When a player has an infection or needs blood you should be able to see it. A player with less blood should have pail skin and a player with an infected leg should have the pant torn A player with one broken leg can limp/crouch using opposite hand Melee combat such as holding another player down should also be implemented. You should be able to silently snap a players neck instead of having to shoot them. Hand to hand combat can hurt a player but would be inefficient in killing one. Ability to tie a player down with rope. If a player logs out, their body will be frozen for 10-30 seconds (whichever seems most fit) in that server once he leaves. The player can still be shot, killed, mauled, etc. for the remaining time until their body disappears. If a player is killed, they will respawn as if they died when they were able to prevent their death. Players should not be forced to spawn at the beach. Some players should spawn in homes/hospitals and other locations without being told their position. Equipment Maps should not be complete when found. Only parts of the map can be found unless someone have multiple parts. Radios should allow you to communicate between other players with radios and should allow you to tune to frequencies of other players to sneak in on their discussions. Flashlights should be usable with secondaries If you have a gps you should be able to mark where you want to go and have a route guidance. (it should not be seen like markers. the distance should be on the gps) Notepad and pens should allow you to place notes inside buildings (tape them on walls or put them on the floor). Knife can be used to make a fire but you must find kindle and the process takes significantly longer. Also a fire does not need any equipment at all but will take up-to 3 minutes or more to light. Not leveling but more training As a player does something repeatedly, they will become better at it. If a player bandages themselves more, they will be able to bandage themselves faster and bandages will last longer to an extent, say 2x if a player bandages other players, they will be able to bandage other players and themselves faster even, up-to 3x A player will be able to light fires faster the more they light them A player can shoot better the more they shoot. A player can run longer the more they run and can rest more efficiently This will have a hyperbolic curve and the more a player does something the better they get but with diminishing returns. Helping other players with blood and bandages will ultimately help you do things faster Humanity Should be removed Players should not be able to tell if a player is naughty or nice based on their dayz skin But a player should be able to drop his gun on the floor without another player being able to pick up to symbolize they are friendly instead of leaning (you can put your gun down and your hands up) [*]If a player sees another player shooting someone, their nameplate should symbolize that. A green plate should turn yellow to red but only if they see the act. This will go away over time. Vehicles All vehicles should be usable to some extent (siphon gas from cars, take tires, etc.) but will be more difficult to repair. Different types of motors/tires and should also require oil changes There should be civilian cars on highways with loot and some can be drive-able [*]Players should be able to push vehicles out of tight spots [*]Vehicles can be totaled [*]ATVs can be flipped over [*]Small planes with can fit up-to two people should be available [*]Jetskiis and more rivers should be available to make water travel viable [*]Cars can run without one or more wheels but will drive considerably slower and can permanently damage the rim. Other Servers should be allowed to specify if a player was murdered or killed or committed suicide or none of the above. Server admins (I am not one) should be allowed to have a sort of spectator mode and view what is going on to stop hackers/cheaters. (They can only do this if they are dead) Server admins can be banned from their own servers if they ban people for cheating when they aren't. An admin can keep reserve spots for clan-mates (hot debate) but players can vote to kick admin if they are banning for no reason. Players can grab scrap metal and use as a weapon. Actually most things should be usable as weapons (signs, chairs, etc.) with varying amounts of damage and durability Natural disasters such as flooding or droughts where players will become thirsty faster should also be in-game Players can acquire parachutes and can use them to jump off buildings. Parachutes should not be automatically available in helis or planes Jumping out of vehicles can occur and will hurt the player to an extent. (a person can jump out of a car at 30 miles/hour and only suffer bleeding and minor injuries). Large cities should be more scattered and available. Spawning at Kamenka or "Three Valleys" should be enjoyable rather than annoying (just a personal opinion) Other than that, the op really sums up everything else. If you read all of my post than hopefully you enjoyed it. -
Because vehicles now save properly, it's worth more to have a Heli then before. So people now want a heli because it WILL stay. Also, the spawn is still the same.

Here's a video of 3 bandits getting shot at, they had opened fire on my 3 friends far to the right. The first bandit I shot was the worst, he had been causing trouble and shooting friendly players all day, until he shot a friend of mine, which prompted a search for him at his last known location. We all met up, but didn't find him. Then about an hour later, near Stary Sobor, he and between 3 or 5 of his bandit pals sneak through the woods and into open ground, initiating the gunfight on my friends. I couldn't believe it, the guy I'd been looking for was immediately in my crosshair. I hit record and put some shot on him, confirming to my friends that we were under fire from bandits. My target got low and rolled to face me, seeing my name before he died. I think he popped some shots towards me, and then later cursed my name at his death screen. I ran for cover, expecting return fire any second from the others. I reached some trees and still remained undetected from starting on their right flank, and looked towards my friends to relay the opposite compass direction, so they knew where to look for targets, then added to check their targets before firing, since I was in the same place as the bandits. The second guy came into view running through some trees away from my friends, he was chased by zombies. I got some hits on him as he ran, then he dropped low and I heard some DMR or M14 shots whizz past me. He died as I kept firing. Some fire came from my right, I was tardy to face it, but noticed him eventually, and decided to strafe and place a tree between myself and him, breaking his line of fire. Then a move I constantly pull to some degree of success in other games, is coming out of the cover immediately after going in, sometimes throwing off the attacker. As I strafed back out, he was still firing on me, my return fire went past him as I strained to see my crosshair, and then made a quick correction aiming on him, finally getting some hits. I think he survived, as I went down and announced to my friends that they should shoot any remaining targets on the hill. The death messages were constantly flowing for a few seconds, and another friend far away noticed the deaths, and asked me what was going on. He was part of a well organized group I like to call "the Spanish group"(because they are all Spanish.) I reported the bandit attack, a few details of it, and he replied stating that the bandits had been stealing vehicles from their camp site. So, in 1.7.2.5. I found a Huey in Skalisty Island, it took me some hours to repair it, but when I was flying with it, the server gave me a message that the server is going to restart in 3 minutes, so me and my friends, landed it and saved, the server restart and when we came back it wasnt there. I read on the internet that the vehicles were not saving in 1.7.2.5, so I waited till .6 and tryed to find q Huey on Skalisty, but no servers I joined had one, and before 1.7.2.6, I could find a Huey on basicly any server. So my question is : have the vehicle spawn changed?

yep. I've already lost a few servers that I had tents and the locations of people's tents/vehicles I think servers being full would be a problem as well. it's not bad now because you can go somewhere else if your normal server is full. but if everyone was committed to a single server, it would be less flexible, and I think many times you'd be stuck waiting for someone to leave and honestly it might get boring playing with the same people all the time. the way it is now offers a lot of unpredictability -
Private and hive are separate so atm I have 2 diff chars so to speak. Vilayer run a group of servers so I have a char there and another on the public servers. Vehicles only exist on that server and you can store gear in them. Tents are the same. Both can be looted/stolen by others. You can get bigger backpacks and move between servers saving items on your home server tent or car. Don't get close to your gear. Be prepared to lose it every minute you play thanks to the d'bags hacking. Other than that enjoy the game.

Alright, let me start with my first idea, replace the M136 with the RPG-7, i have some key reasons for this. Explosives: The RPG would be used a lot in Chernarus because it was recently in a conflict with the Americans due insurgents. (RPG-7's would be a common weapon to take down American helicopters and vehicles). Why would the Americans bring an M136 to Chernarus after the conflict to fight against the infected, it simply makes no sense what are they going to kill with it? Infected driving vehicles or some shit? Tell me what you all think, i was also thinking about suggesting to add an Strela 2 as it would also be a weapon used against the Americans. (It would also make it fair to deal with choppers) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strela_2) Rifles: I think it would be better to make American and British weapons VERY rare as they wouldn't be used as much comparing to russian weapons such as the AKM, AK-47, AK-74 and the Ak-107. Adding in more Russian weapons could be nice as well, some ideas are AN-94, Ak-101, Ak-103 and the Ak12. Weapons Spawns: I think making American weapons spawn at only millitary bases such as the one at Stary Sobor would be more realistic than the airfields as they would have been Russian ocupied whilst the camps would be American. Now, time for a rant regarding snipers. Snipers: Make the CZ550 more common as it's a common hunting weapon, M24 only spawn at american bases along with the AS50 and M107 (Make them SUPER rare). Make the SVD spawn more than it does (maybe even make some spawn without the camo?) as it is the only Russian sniper in the mod and you're in a Russian country. I think it couldn't hurt to add in some more Russian snipers as well such as the SV-98, SVU and the VSS. I will update and change my ideas often with this topic. Now, what do you all think of this?

Q1 just the server you are on. Q2 Only you and the gear on you will be persistant across servers... vehicles and tents will stay in the server they are set, or spawned in. In lingor stuff despawns, quickly, in chernarus, it is generally wiped with server restart... but i wouldnt bank on it. Q3 It is safe no where... but a running slendder(upright) target is harder to hit than a crouching fat target. Running is fine generally, but its all about situational awareness. Q4 ? Q5 No -

A1: Only 50 people per server (normally) , but all the character info are saved on 1 big server (Hive) A2: No, Only your info are saved on hive. So if you drop something on the ground its only in the server. (example: if you find a vehicles, i cant switch server with it. the server save the location of it) A3: Woods Are ALWAYS safer A5?: No , Only a gun, Axes or Crowbar can kill animals (you need the knife to Gut it) i hope i helped you! good playing -
I hear your pain and I have a simple solution that is also more realistic. Put simply we need a lot more vehicles and a lot less fuel. Think about it, after a zombie apocalypse there would be cars in good condition left everywhere, the big problem would be that fuel production would stop. The only access to fuel would be what you could scavenge from what is left behind. Then clans could horde all the cars they wanted and it wouldn't do them any good or make any difference cause they could never fuel them.

Im a fan o lingor... i got kinda jaded with ole chernarus. Obviously way more towns with eneterable buildings, makes for vastly improved fibua combat. There are more vehicles as a whole, but not over done either. More military sites. Which i dont think is a bad thing, spreads the chaos a bit. The prison is the equivlent o NW air field... not one of the air fields. Its just four barrack buildings. And i like the contrast in terrains.. reminds me a lot o east timor back in the day honestly. Im curious about the wreaked mi8's and c130's ive come across... im assuming they will be spawning equipment at some stage? -
dude, its easy my clan, not me, found lots of vehicles, buses are easier because they are slow, hard to maneuver and cant carry shit. also, theres so many servers, just hop into an empty one.

Been such a hectic past few days with fixing and losing about 10 vehicles (never trust Anarchy to drive on a beach btw) now it'll just be nice to find a relable server with good admins. :) I'm fine with finding/fixing another vehicle but certainly a Big Thanks for your offer ya mentioned. :thumbsup: -

As a side note, it's good that you got thrown out of your chopper, I would preferred it to have exploded than instant respawn elsewhere because of your disgusting play style. The map is 225 km2, can't you find somewhere in that space to place your vehicles? -
Thanks for all the feedback, have lost cars in multiple servers, when i lose stuff in one server i just find a new one - today we lost a Ural filled with guns/ammo/food/medical supplies Guess its time to find another server? Maybe ill stay away from vehicles until i know they're working properly, im hitting save, and aborting according, then when the server resets so does our car. As for parking in a flat space? then it'll just get stolen for being in plain sight, right? ;) Thanks anyway guys Anarchy.

Private servers and hive servers. Can you save all your stuff in any server or only the hive ones? 5-For example, we got our gear, guns and vehicles, if we leave everything on some area there, when we return, we will still have our stuff there and spawn right where we left our characters? 6-And you can store things in tents/cars/backpacks right? And they will stay there until you reconnect? -

Yeah bro, nearly 5000 servers and most of your server gets caught up in the 2000 bans? Yeah, that's a hacker server or you play in the wrong place. Besides, I strongly believe you were swept up in the bans and now that you can no longer teleport to people to steal their hard earned vehicles you're here on the forums stirring up shit. -
Update to 1.7.2.6 and the vehicles will save their location correctly, so will the tents.

Dude, I play on a server with 50 vehicles. And my friends are still like "hoard all the vehicles!" I have one white UAZ with UN on the front. That's all I need and I keep that safe. Collected, they have a Ural, a SUV, and 3 helicopters. (none of which is hacked, just server options)

That's a pretty retarded statement. This happens whether you hop servers or not. It's completely unpredictable. I've gone on a random server one morning and I log in dead. It happens on my favorite servers sometimes as well. I've been kicked for ping too high once and it happened on the immediate next server I joined. It's been happening more often now. I believe this glitch should receive more attention than the tents or vehicles as of right now. Losing extra items inside tents I can handle, but randomly losing all the gear on my person for an illegitimate reason is completely unfair.
