I am always coming across the weirdest shit
straw replied to omgwtfbbq (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Gallery
that s the work of a hacker - he teleported all the vehicles to one spot, obviously they couldnt move the boat on land, you could have blown it up with satchel tho :P -
vehicles are extremely easy to find if you know how to play the game also there are alot of vehicles on the map for the size.
-
1)Greedy admins. 2)Hackers 3)LUCKY explorers. AKAIC, Hackers are finding vehicles(EASILY) and ruining all those legit hard hours u put into the game. Simple as that. I've had obvious tents, and seriously so out of the way(but still in bounds) tents on low pop servers(seriously never gettin above 15 players) and my tent and vehicle(seperated mind you) are BOTH gone? Nah, sorry. I dont believe it.
-
This^ someone just stole it. Sorry! That's DayZ for you. I just got a bicycle, and I fully expect it to be gone by the time I wake up tomorrow. You have to hide vehicles really well or barely inside the map. Bicycles are easy to hide, just plop them on their side in a pine tree and they practically disappear! EDIT: Wow, Inception., our signatures look so similar. One of us should change colors. I don't care who.

Looking for the app that shows vehicle locations
cash4gold replied to reuben5150's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Bullshit. My server is almost always at full capacity and my vehicles still got teleported by a hacker. Luckily, we were able to find some them on top of a mountain and the friendlies set work on repairing them while the bandits came and kept trying to snipe everyone. As for the rest of them, we can't locate them and assume they are out in the ocean, where they will remain for the next 7 days, screwing all of my players out of being able to use them in the meantime. We also have a boat on the airfield.... I *thought* when I uninstalled and reinstalled Lingor on the server last night after updating the Vilayer Hive hotfix, that it would wipe and reset all that bullshit too... but nope. Boat still on the airfield. Very tempted to ask a scripter to just teleport them all back for me, or just script in some new ones FFS. Unbelievable we don't have the ability to repair the damage done by hacking idiots. -
server restarts are ruining peoples fun
JamesButlin replied to apache25's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
If you're losing everything you have on server restart, you might not want to frequent that server anymore as it will more than likely be a private hive! Server resets (on servers attached to the main hive) simply replace loot & put vehicles where they are supposed to be if they are unusable/haven't been used for a long time, they do not reset every vehicle or any player's characters. -
Hello everyone Allot of people are afraid of adventuring into clan servers. Abusive admins, clan members that roam around and murder players. Last Resistance for a long time remained quite, not wanting to have our server become to large. We realized that there`s no reason to this. No reason at all. We want to turn our server into a place where other`s can be safe and enjoy the game. Without the abusive admins, a clan that hogs all the vehicles. We may only have maybe a quad or two for easy transportation around. I myself and the rest are on-board with having our server become a save and public place to play without any hassle. We all know what it`s like to have to deal with other admins crap and other clans ruining servers. How our server is ruled over -We do not tolerate any adult language in your names, racism, swearing at people in direct chat if there`s proof. Rule 12. We will ban you. Hackers. We have our ways of hunting you all down. Attempting a single hack you will be found. Using hacks that do not use scripts and are not recorded in the logs will do no good. You will be found. You can test us on this if you would like. Server will be shut down right away until the hacker is dealt with. Suspected of hacking on our server will earn you a kick and possible ban and put onto our community ban list. The community ban list will list players banned from our server. When, why and how. This list will be on this forums and constantly updated when there is something new. -All players who go on the server IP`s and GUID`s will be recorded for an way of tracking players and name changes if you`re a suspected hacker. -TeamSpeak. Our server has a Teamspeak server. This server can be used only for when playing on the server. If you have another reason for using the TeamSpeak just ask one of us if you you can use if for another. Use our teamspeak to report whenever there has been a hacker and report to any member with an LR tag by there name. They will be dealt with at an instance. -Whenever the server is about to restart we will give you a 10min before message warning. -Staying idle in the server for 20min will have you kicked. -We will never, ever kick people to make room for friends, clan. -You are not allowed to use any hacked weapons of any sorts. You will be banned if caught. -More to come Server Name: DayZ - US 2244 (v1.7.2.6/Beta 96584) [Veteran 3DP:1 CH:0 ][uTC +8) dayzmod.com - hosted by Last Resistance I.P. I have some tent saving problems too. Me and my bro placed one tent, filled it and saved it. Then we placed a second tent, filled it and saved it. After that we placed a third tent and it didn´t appear. So I just thought "crap" and took another (fourth) tent and placed it at almost the same place as the third who disappeared. We filled it and saved it. I deployed all the tents and we saved both all the tents 3-7 times. After the server restart there were 4 (!) tents. The third (this who disappeared) was there and was merged with the fourth and it was really hard to choose one of them. Three tents were empty. Just the first of them saved correctly. I have issues with vehicles too. Our Bus stood in a forrest. Everything except the wheels was "green". The wheels were "orange" but all wheels were optically OK. After the server restart engine and fuel tank were "red". And the fuel tank was empty. One wheel was missing - strange. And there is another issue with the Bus. I can´t choose the gear on the backseat til my bro does this one time (yes, I know the trick that I have to choose the driver´s seat till i get to the back seat to choose "gear"). And plus: my bro can´t get into the bus till I get out one time - then he can get in as I can always. Maybe that´s the reason why the bus hasn´t been stolen till now  There´s something really weird going on with this game - especially with our bus and tents :D

Don't Vehicles get respawned/reset if they are left out of the map unsured for 24 hours tho? Does save before resets tho. :) -

Yes or No only please. I am wondering if camps and vehicles are outside of the map. -
Having you stuff stolen is normal, but the hacking is beyond understanding, the thing is, I have the felling that once you learn to deal with your loss you'll play longer and even laugh at hackers, I've been playing since... 1.7.2.4 I think, and some people I used to play with just gave up, some became scripters, others often use script but most of the time they play normal, myself, I never used scripts, did some dupping once but got killed and refused getting dupped stuff again, got a nice equip, nvg, l85, guillie and shit, survived for 16 days and died falling from one of the buildings in cherno, ran back found my body and only lost the guillie. My advice? Go Lingor and take a break from Hacknarus, maybe, MAYBE the next update will help. From my point of view 90% of the scripters do it because after hours running around finding not even a bicicle they get pissed of, most of my friend who strated using script use them to either avoid players or find vehicles.

Addressing "DayZ Game Mechanics thread".
gambles replied to gambles's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
There is something to pretend, You are pretending there is a huge issue with people judging bandits, there just isn't in the current state of the game, it's minor. Everyone is raging about hackers, bugs, hell I haven't even seen man shoot on sight threads recently. Then why not shoot at something challenging? they are the same people who are complaining (crap ton of threads about this) that end game is boring. So instead of looking for competitive suspenseful fun they kill defenseless survivors that is about as hard as shooting a goat? doesn't add up. Unless they are griefing. Skin is subjective yes, but most people find it much more appealing than the bandit. And I guess the vest is nullified since most bandits have tents duped full of gear. Small arms should be relevant. I stated that sandbox games are molded by the community (Look at eve OPEN YOUR EYES) and look at the very definition of it. Freedom to roam do what as you please, I can go to NWAF naked, I can shoot you, I can help you, I can spend all my time building a base, or I can spend all my time hoarding vehicles. There are tons of objectives you can set for yourself that have no pre-requisites on level or class or anything of the sort. There will be even more come later in the mod and eventually stand alone. You stated it wasn't a sandbox I proved it was. It's relevant to morality because sandbox games often don't punish the player themselves with game mechanics, but let other players do it. A sandbox game doesn't put restraints on people that say "if you are bad you will be punished" they let other people judge you for what you do. That's the point of a sandbox, it doesn't shove rules down your throat it lets the community decide those. I was referring to real life, I thought you would have caught on when I mentioned law and stealing your identity...guess not. But just like in real life the game can't punish you for killing people other people do that. Understand? It isn't, and nothing should. You should be free to do as you please when you please until another PLAYER(s) steps in and stops you or brings you to justice. Or you can not play like a retard? You're just as likely to get shot shooting first as you are not shooting first. A million and one things could go wrong, you could miss, shoot a player with many friends close, make noise so you attract other players, a ton of things. Why do you assume I'm more likely to be shot cause I don't shoot first? If I come around a corner and there is a guy DIRECTLY in my face with a gun im probably going to shoot as is he and this is the only time when not shooting first would do me in. If they see me first before I see them and shoot the point is moot cause i'm not seeing them, and if I see them from a distance before they see me than I can study behavior and decide to shoot, flee, or approach depending on a number of factors such as, do they have a weapon? what kind of weapon? whats the effective range? are they a bandit? You're over simplifying the subject when you say not shooting on sight will get you killed because shooting on sight has its drawbacks to. Not shooting on sight just requires more tactful play. And not a call of duty see guy shoot guy mentality. That's exactly what you are saying. You are saying there is no possible way that playing as a hero is as efficient as a bandit. But they both have there perks and drawbacks, firing first does NOT always make it safer for you. You're failing to even realize that some people may have found a different way to play than you. You're sitting there typing "The way I play is superior to surviving" when it simply isn't. There are pros and cons to both. Two different styles, being a hero is only harder if you try to be a hero by approaching situations like a bandit. There is more than one way to play and succeed at any game. So now you went from saying there is no reward for playing a good guy (I can quote you on that) to there is. And guess what you will probably get shot in the back more then me now with that bandit skin on, as many MANY bandits are complaining about on the forums. My point is that you have no point when saying it's more efficient to play as a bandit. Overall more easy learning curve? yes. But with tactful play being a hero and shooting first only when it is needed, is just as efficient. "No I'll select the difficulty to be challenging and then I will use every tactic to increase my chances of winning without breaking game rules." Do you find DayZ challenging? as a bandit? maybe if you want a bit more challenge you could try the other road less traveled. We have all been bandits, at some point. Very few have given a shot at dedicating there play time to helping others. "Dude... I've made up that board game. I just took every mechanic that DayZ has and changed the names and put it on a board." Good job with that. ... You are replying to a quote that contains "(or in case of DayZ not to loose)". You've basically just proven that you can't read. I'm just going to use every mechanic within the game rules to decrease my chances of dieing while still having the game exciting and challenging. Hence firefights. And what rules? As I have answered someone else: you need food and water. You need medical supplies in case you get injured. You don't need weapons to defend yourself. ( I guess you can just accept death but how many people are actually going to do that?) Can you choose not to use any of those things? Sure. But if you don't use those things you significantly increase your chance of dieing. And I thought the point was not to die. See now you just proved your a dick by insinuating I can't read after I have been replying to your posts all day. No game needed and your a bandit, what a coincidence. Do you even know what rules are? and you tell me I can't read. Let me give you a hint, rules (especially in games) aren't optional. They are things that have to be followed. The rules. The rules say I can't travel under the map, so I can't travel under the map. That's a rule. Whether I carry medical supplies around and a weapon isn't a rule, is it wise? hell yes. Is it a rule I have to follow in game? Obviously not. In many games not like DayZ they force weapons into your hand of some sort or say you can't kill that npc or you can kill that npc. The only rules you are bound by are that of the game engine which unfortunately at the moment doesn't allow us to build houses. But those are not really rules as much as they are limitations of the current state of the game and subject to change. "Hey I can appreciate roleplaying but not if it's gonna screw me over." Hey if you wanna role play that's on you. But it doesn't have to. Not if you change your goals and outlook on the game. "I already have friends that I play with and I know that they're not going to shoot me in the back the moment we find something they want. It's not that I don't know everything you've just said. I'm just not looking for more friends." I have friends too, many, but I like making new ones, like a lot of people in life. And I like that there is some risk in meeting new people, betrayal can be an experience to enjoy and learn from each time. The gear in game is currently very easy to get so experience with the game are what many seek out now. "Take your pills. And that wasn't the only point of my thread so it doesn't fit into the suggestion forum." Once again with the dickery suggesting I take pills. Ok Mr. Bandit. It doesn't fit? lol. "I don't think that mechanics in eve fully support killing on sight. I think that there are many ways you can play and they are all more or less equally beneficial. Even tho they are completely different playstyle. That's what I'd like to see here too. And I don't see how giving a trade off to killing people will suddenly make the game easier. It's just going to make the game equally hard for bandits. And only then you'll have choice based purely on personal prefference whether you're going to be a bandit or a survivor." You don't think the mechanics in eve support killing on sight? you do realize there are people who live on that in low sec right? like that how they succeed in game. The choice is purely personal preference now. You state your goals to yourself like so "I want to help people" then you set out in game and do that. Or you say "I want to kill people" and you set out in game and do that. "1. I'll just assume that you haven't been reading the forum before script/dupe issue became the major thing. Like I said before that people were constantly making whine threads about bandits. (there was nothing about cheating in those threads). And once the standalone comes, assuming it carries over all the mechanics just gets rid of scripts and duping, the issue will be back on top. 2. WTF? Reading comprehension again. You falsly assumed that I have a problem with people thinking that I'm a dick and that it was the reason (or part of the reason) why I made that thread. Then I tell you that you assumed wrong and you tell me to shut up? How the fuck does that make sense? I don't understand. So if I'm not making the thread because I care what people think about me I'm not allowed to speak about something else? Seriously what the hell? 3. I have explained multiple times why it supports kiling. Addressed the "sandbox" issue too. And it doesn't matter to the people doing it that it's going to change how other people are playing too. It works pretty much like this http://en.wikipedia....r's_dilemma . People doing it dont' care how it's going to change the game on the long run. And it's not even what they are doing. They are only following the mechanics. It's the mechanics that tell them it's a good idea to do it." 1. I have been reading the forums for about two and a half months or so. When I first came into the game the hacking was AS bad as it is now, but an issue. From what I read of the past of the game before my time is that shoot on sight was actually less common than it has been in 1.7.2.3 - 1.7.2.4. Or at least that's what many say. 2. If you're making a thread that you have no steak in and you're not one of the people who cares about it why would you make the thread? It doesn't make much sense. You seem to care very much about how people talk to you online actually and what they think. 3. You're absolutely right, the way most bandits play is irrational. I much enjoyed your link. There is no sandbox issue, and not everyone follows the flawed logic in your link. "Dude I've seen people saying that's immoral to kill other people in Dayz. And I don't mean that's immoral in game. They meant that the player who's killing another player is immoral. Nothing to overstate here. I've seen people saying that they must be horrible people in real life too if they murder people in a game." No one thinks your a sociopath, or at least very few, just a dick. You don't thinks people exaggerate and overstate things on the internet? In this thread alone you told me I can't read and to take pills. And I hope you weren't serious about the pills thing as that would be a bit screwed up wouldn't it. -

QQ Admins - Lingor - (Slap server)
[email protected] replied to Phantasm (DayZ)'s topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
I concur, avoid Slap Private DayZLingor, power tripping dickless admin, pointless to play on. Don't play on this server. The rules got weirder and weirder. From kicking people for just shooting, to banning people for DRIVING VEHICLES. Then there were more weird rules coming down. No hiding corpses. Everyone just merely asked "Why?" and got kicked. All I said was "Wow, dis admin be crazy" and got kicked. I came back and spat some venom in chat and of course immediately got banned. Anyways avoid this server at all times, the crazy power tripping admin is using it just to justify the size of his miniscule micro-cock so your amount of fun is going to be inevitably limited by this dumbass. Just pick a different server and save yourself the time. EDIT: He never once actually banned anyone that was ghosting or combat logging. No decent bans were handed out ever. There was much ghosting going on, so I imagine it was all a cover up for his buddies. Its on my twitch channel twitch.tv/gorgenzola for 9/11/2012 -
Addressing "DayZ Game Mechanics thread".
bibbish replied to gambles's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Guys, what SillySil has done here is boil down DayZ to find out exactly what it consists of. I love the game, but the answer is - not much. The game is a team death match over a massive map, which is populated, often by a highish number of players. There is only, really, one real objective, which is to survive. Food and drink are essential. The feeling of logging out with nothing to eat upon log in is a bad one! With survival comes the need for other gear, things are easier when you can navigate, hunt and defend yourself. The map is dangerous. Zombies, other players and some natural hazards can cause broken bones, blood loss and death. I really enjoy the most basic aspect of the game. Surviving and collecting better loot. A better torch, a better primary weapon, items to build a fire. More, bigger, better. I'm not experienced enough to get to the stage where I hunt other players or repair vehicles, though I have stashed items in a tent before. People's imagination here is admirable, but SillySil points out that as the game is an Alpha a lot a features aren't in there yet. All this talk of Sandbox. Maybe DayZ is a sandbox, but I don't think it is a very good example of one. Wiki says in a sandbox 'a player can roam freely through a virtual world and is given considerable freedom in choosing how or when to approach objectives.' In DayZ the main objective is to survive. There aren't many ways to do it. Shop or hunt. Even with player made objectives such as 'repair and fly helicopter' collecting the parts is fairly straight forward. I could raid an enemy camp for parts, I suppose. Say you've nearly finished your heli and some random player comes along. He's heavily armed. He chooses to kill a nearby cow with a heavy weapon or grenade. What if he chooses to damage your heli? By far the best option here is to take him out. Morality wouldn't come into it here for me. DayZ is a GAME which I have invested time in. I want to get airborne... Killing him doesn't really punish me and doesn't make me a bad person in real life. Wiki also says this 'Reviewers have judged the quality of an open world based on whether there are interesting ways for the player to interact with the broader level when they ignore their main objective.' The problem here is that I feel that there are SOME interesting ways to interact. Forming groups, repairing vehicles. But this is subjective. To me grouping up with randoms isn't interesting, nor is repairing a vehicle (because it will get stolen and doesn't lead to anything). DayZ doesn't have lots and lots of things to do. Which leads us back to the main thing there is to do. Survive and get better loot. This is interesting to me. If I kill another player (fairly, I don't know how to and wouldn't cheat) and manage to protect my friend I play with online and loot the guy and get an item I need I feel rewarded. SillySil says there is nothing to stop me doing this YET. I agree totally. It appears Rocket has begun at address morality by making the hero skin available. Why would he do that if co-operation is so beneficial? He wouldn't. Firstly the hero perks. In my opinion, aren't that great. The best I think is the movement speed increase. On such a large map being able to move faster helps. A bit. A vest that can absorb 9mm rounds? Not as useful when I'm normally shot at with a sniper rifle or simply shot in the head. If I have to engage another player I'll use a .45 or rifle. As for the skin itself? Don't care at all. When I played WoW I went for the gear and upgrades which gave me most spell damage. That way I could join raids which required stronger characters. The look of my character was of secondary importance. A bonus if you like. So what do I think? Well I've rambled, but I think that many players, myself included, don't take DayZ as seriously as some of you do. And that's okay. I enjoy the feeling of excitement when I meet a player and wonder what will happen. (The scale affects that). I'm hoping that some fragments of story might be put in and some elements to make the game eerie. But I also see that if you all want this not to be a KoS fest then work will have to be done to discourage it, gameplay mechanics will have to be added (like the hero skin, more of this, but better), telling people that they shouldn't kill on sight and should roleplay won't work. When I'm online with buddies we are still us. We're just playing a cool game. Is it a shame I don't have a more vivid imagination? Perhaps, but that is the way it is for many players. -
How to set my server to allow custom skins?
[email protected] replied to HamTheBacon's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Set it to a private hive and add it manually, Many private server's have vehicles that are not in the normal hive servers. -
Looking to start up a group with our own home server of US 900.I like this server but its not really populated and I am trying to get more people on it. So hit me up and we will start claiming our own server! Everyone and anyone is welcome! PM me for details, also you can contact me via Steam (THEOTHERJESTER). Try to get team speak it will make our lives much easier. See you guys soon. Plans - 1) Police the server keeping it safe from bandits. 2) Help anyone who needs our help. 3) Establish a "Security Zone", an area were we can keep our gear/vehicles.

hi. i have been playing on us267 for a while with my friends. we have many vehicles and weapons. This one player ,pitch black, is on every single time we get sniped at. to make this even more suspicious he almost always connects right before we pass through solnichniy. this happens every time. yesterday we were traveling in a van through solnichniy when i saw his mussle flash. i hop out with the as50 thermal that i found at a hackers tent. i lost him so i start running west. im out in the middle of nowhere when i stop to check my gear. at that split second i am hit in the head with a sniper bullet. I am 100% sure that it was pitch black because it was only my group and him online. i then respawn in electro and start running when i am kicked for "cheating/hacking" i then reconect and im kicked for the same reason. now whenever i try to join im kicked for the reason "holy hackery". i have loads of weapons and vehicles on that server and i dont want to lose it all beacuse of an ignorant admin. P.S. admins can check the log files which contain the coordinates of every player every 30seconds. there is also a program that takes those log files and marks the people on a picture of the chernaurus map

Inland or Coastal Isolation?
shadowjack replied to Wolfpanzer (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
I view vehicles and camps same as i do cell phones in RL. They are like a leash and slow me down. Gimme a Czech or Alice pack, a decent assault rifle and handgun (currently M4A1 & G17) and im good to go. To me a post apoc setting is a fluid situation and planting roots is unwise. If i cant carry it, i dont need it. -
Hi fellow survivors. I have been playing DayZ as a lone wolf hunter/stalker since early May and have developed somewhat successful technique stalking and raiding large clan groups which I want to share with you. This is a very rewarding activity in DayZ as you get to loot the best equipment, ammo, rifles, food, drinks with minimal risk and get gratification of outsmarting entire clans. First of all this is not for new players, rather you will need to be able to navigate the terrain using compass and map and know exactly where you are at all times. Secondly this is by far not a complete guide, rather a set of techniques and ideas I have developed. Finally patience is the key, I have stalked some groups for well over a week straight until zeroed in on their stashes and their MO. I. Stuff you need Assuming you just spawned on the beach and have nothing, head inland to a nearest town with a store. You will need large backpack, hunting knife, hatchet, matches, some food and drinks to get you going. While there you will likely pick up a sidearm and maybe a basic iron sight rifle or shotgun. Essentially you need gear to be able to live in the woods for a long time, the list can vary and you will upgrade with the better equipment as time goes on. The main goal is to minimize number of trips to towns for supplies where you become vulnerable. II. Identifying groups Once you have the basics, you need to find a good DayZ sever that has persistent clan population. Servers populated with guys sporting the same clan tags are perfect for this. Now let’s take a look at the map http://dayzmap.info/ . Most clans have several camp sites within 5km NW airfield and Stary Sobor resource chokepoint for obvious reasons. You need to carefully make your way to a good observation point on one of these locations with a commanding view of the entire area. Stay put for some time simply watching the traffic. In my experience you will see one or two guys run in to the loot spawn area and commence shooting Zs and loot. Don’t shoot them or let them know someone is watching, chances are there are other guys in a sniper position with gilly suit and DMR covering them from a distance. You are here to watch and observe the movement. Assuming they clear the spawn watch the direction they head to, in many cases these guys will have a vehicle parked in the woods nearby which they use to dump off the loot and comeback. Other groups have a designated driver that comes in and picks up the looters. What you want to watch for is the direction of travel. 9 out of 10 times they will travel away from the loot spawn and then turn in to general direction of their camp to drop off vehicles and loot. Having long range draw distance at 3Km or further will help visually follow targets as long as they remain in line of sight. III. Stalking Since we are stalking groups of players you need to understand that they are all likely in the same TeamSpeak channel and are using scout to move. That means if you see one guy headed to town, there likely others on the ridge or in the treeline 500m behind him. Sit back get a drink and watch, sooner or later the scout will sound “all clear” and the group will trickle in to another cover position. You want to be positioned behind or to the side of main group as far back as possible. Only move when the main group is moving as well. Simply fast crawling in 3rd person to keep an eye on them in many cases sufficient as they tend to stop frequently and scan for targets or hostiles. Try to stay in shrubs, tree lines and away from any structures that would profile you against the background. At this point you have an upper hand since your targets are not aware of anyone following them and are ripe for picking. My weapon of choice in the Wildlands is M4A1 CCO SD, many times I crept up unnoticed to less than 150m from groups and killed 2 or 3 guys within 10 seconds. Some instinctively run back towards you assuming fire is coming from where they were headed. Of course silenced rifle is optimal, but AKS-74 or regular M4A1 will do which means you give off your position and allow some to escape behind cover. IV. Finding Camps In my experience some of the juicy camps with veihcles and tents filled with all the military equipment you will ever want all were found North and West of the NW airfield. The reason is simple, the wild lands area is desolate with large expases of wooded areas and deep vales. Take time to scour North of Devils castle, Pertovka, Skala, West of Lopatino, and Pustoshka. Don’t forget to check hills behind the maps edge, I have often found fully stocked ATVs and pickup trucks a kilometer off the map. The amount of loot some of these groups collect is insane. You will never have to loot by yourself if you know location of other peoples stashes on different servers. When running through wooded areas pay close attention to clusters of pine trees, they provide good concealment for tents which often jammed packed with goodies. You have to think in terms of “where on the map I feel the safests to place a camp”. This usually includes off the path areas, deep valleys, and woods. I hope this helps other lone wolf survivors out there, be safe!

Where are the 1200000 players?
specterm replied to Nille (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I started playing lingor. Having a NON dayz Hive gives server owners the ability to have more vehicles. Lock the server and lower the player counts. I went back to cherno yesterday and ran for roughly 4hours just to find out that our helicopter was gone and I will be damned if i will run for another 4+ hours to find a vehicle. So then i decided to server jump to try to find a helicopter on another server. I Found that most servers have been abandoned. Heck they dont even restart them! they are so laggy!! Im done with official dayz. we have a milion tents in our server that the Dayz people said they will not give us the ability to delete. Yet they are full of hacked weapons and you cant get rid of them. I have contacted the server company to cancel the server. and honestly.. If this is what is planned for the dayz stand alone.. I want nothing to do with it.
